Otherworld Academy for Wayward Gods
OOC/Sign-Ups/IC
What is the Otherworld Academy?
Ever since man saw the Sun, his society has been fuelled by the worship of some form of higher being. Little did man know that the worship of these higher beings fueled Them in return...
As technology developed and new machines spread throughout the globe, faith in the Gods of Old began to fade. Neptune could no longer master his seas. Thor could no longer bend lightning to his will. The world no longer bent to beings such as Zeus...
Without faith to fuel their power, the Gods grew to fall into mortality. Reincarnations seemed to become rarer and rarer, and the ranks of each pantheon began to shrink. Thus, the God's of the Old World came together to create a failsafe:
The remaining reincarnated Gods would be tracked down as soon as they were born and taken to the Hellfire Caves as soon as they were born. Here they would be trained to manage their growing, primal powers, and hopeful have amassed more power by the time they finally achieved full Godhood. Maybe then the Old Gods could survive, at least for a few more centuries.
Thus, the Otherworld Academy was formed, a place of teaching for the teenage Gods. Under the watch of Principal Athena, the Students were trained in all the core subjects: Languages, Mathematics, Dietic History, Ability Control and the Processes of Godhood.
Dozens of teenagers with slowly developing powers are thrown together during the most confusing years of their life.
What could possibly go wrong?

Character Driven Plot
Each player will take control of a reincarnated God from any pantheon of their choosing, and will live out their final year at the Otherworld Academy. You will choose their clique, how they interact with their fellow classmates, whether or not they are passing their classes... and to what extent their Godly abilities will have manifested. The characters will be given tremendous power over the plot- depending on how the students can interact, depends on whether or not the year will end in tragedy or triumph. Will Otherworld start a rivalry with another school? Will gang violence find its way into the corridors? Will the students be forced to solve a murder committed by one of their peers? It's up to you whether these young adults will come together before graduation, or will their actions involve the school getting burned to the ground.
"It's going to be a year to remember, students. It's up to you to make sure it is remembered for all the right reasons..."
------------------
Character Sheet
Due to the fact that many of these students will have known each other for a good 6 years of their lives, developing a little bit of backstory is important:
God Name:
Which Reincarnated God will you be taking control of, and what are they the ancient God of?
Pantheon:
Which pantheon of God has your student been reincarnated from? Roman? Norse? Egyptian? Something Else?
Nickname:
Does your character go by any other name other than their God name? Though the school encourages students to use their God/True name, students are allowed to abbreviate it should they choose
Powers and Abilities:
How will your Student's Godly abilities have manifested so far? Of course, due to the fact that the students are still mortal until they turn 21, they will not have the full extent of their abilities. E.I. Aphrodite wouldn't be able to control minds with love, but she could possibly subliminally suggest things to people, or Hades wouldn't be able to raise the dead etc.
Brief Backstory:
As reincarnations, these young gods will not have the memories of their power-sakes, and will thus have developed new personalities. Most of the students currently attending the school will have been taken at before they started high school, but many transfers will have grown up with their own families and discovered their powers at their own accord and being sent to Hellfire.
Think about what clique your student might fall into, where or not they are on any sports teams, whether they love or hate a particular subject, what their attitude towards school is, whether or not they have any specific friends or partners already going to the school and (for transfers).
Don't worry about writing a novel here- write as little or as much as you like
Transfer/Current Student
Will depend on whether or not they are part of an established clique
