The karate chop was enough to get Sarge’s attention, causing him to turn and face Stardust.

“The hell was that for, young lady? You know I could have you shot for insubordination?” Sarge shouted before turning back to the woman, though in reality he had no intention of shooting her.

He just had to assert his dominance, is all.

"Eh? I did that cause picking a fight with that lady seemed kinda dumb. Besides, that lady works on this ship or whatever! If we fought her we'd look like bad guys and probably never leave." Stardust explained. Though Vader seemed to be getting what he wanted by acting kind of rashly, casuing Stardust to stare in bewilderment. What was going on anymore?

"Hey, how are you so calm right now?" she asked, turning to that really chill seeming guy that talked weird. She never got his name, but he didn't seem as bad as some of the others.

Meiji blinked as she watched the proceedings with Vader's "negotiation" and was almost as confused as Stardust.

She decided to stand next to Gakupo. He wasn't crazy, so she'd stick to him for the time being.

Burnham breathed heavily, eyes glaring at the man who sought to kill one of her crew. "What do you want?" she asked. "For me to let the shield down? You must know I would be foolish to do that! We can negotiate, please! No one has to die!"

This was far from a negotiation, as Burnham feared. Vader's demand would put the crew of the Discovery at a massive disadvantage, possibly allowing for these individuals to either take over the ship or cause a fight that would lead to casualties. With that in mind, and considering the attitude of most of the others speaking to her, Burnham knew there was no choice but to go to threats herself.

"You are in the hangar bay of our ship," she said loudly so that they all heard her words clearly. "You see those shuttles? I wanted to avoid this, but with one order I could open the doors and let the vacuum of space take you. Stand down, and you all live. Stand down, and we may start having a reasonable discussion."

With that threat made clear and there being no indication that Burnham was lying, Vader was forced to relent in his assault. The man he had been choking fell to the ground, gasping while the other man called for the infirmary. "I'm afraid you do not have the luxury now of making demands. You wanted us to trust you? You failed. Now you listen to me. We will take your weapons and allow four of you to join us to speak with our Acting Captain. Choose now. The better you behave, the better we can accommodate all of you."

Burnham felt a rage inside of her, but she kept it at bay. Her Vulcan upbringing was an asset in moments like these. "And for the last time, we can not return you anywhere as of right now. We don't know how or why you are here in the first place."

Emily breathed a small sigh of relief. She didn't have to use her stone after all, though Vader's actions didn't resonate well with the crew, at least they weren't going to get into a fight, and as far as she knew... No-one was getting hurt just yet.

Nonetheless, Emily tugged at her amulet a little, looking a little bashfull about her situation.

"I can't surrender my stone. It's... Bound to me, but I will surrender what I can." She said, offering her walking stick out to Burnham.

She hoped the crew member that Vader had... Choked would recover alright, and overall, she did feel quite guilty about the whole ordeal, so she decided to speak up once more, turning to the others in the bay this time.

"I too will volunteer to speak to the Captain. But... I understand if you want someone else to be one of the four to speak with the captain..." She added, taking note that there were more than four at this point volunteering as well.

It looks like they'd have to come to a consensus somehow, but... Emily wasn't too picky who they chose... Just as long as they would behave.​

"Considering neither of them advocated for Vader, I say Emily or Titus ahould get the fourth spot, if I'm being honest." Gakupo was incredibly relieved that Starscream would not be going. More security personnel arrived to help the matter of confiscating the weaponry, the barrier opening just enough to allow items to pass through. Burnham eventually pointed to Elliot, Emily, Grif, and Zero Two. "Is that the final decision? I'm inclined to say you do not send the boy or the one in the orange armor, but that is up to you."
