Elliot shot a curious glance toward Kumagawa, listening to him intently. Though when he summoned his screws into the floor, Elliot's hands glowed. He gritted his teeth in anger, looking about ready to retaliate, but instead, he simply held his ground. "You may have a point," he said with an edge to his voice. He did not seem entirely put off by Kumagawa's threat. "I escaped my drudgery once, only to once again find a new sort of hell. Then I did away with that one too. Over and over again. I know just as well that only I can rid myself of what pains me, but such an action requires power, don't you know? Finding your own happiness... it requires obtaining power, simple as that."

He then looked to Gumi, keeping a wary sideways look at Kumagawa as well. "That is not the game I expected it to be based on the name. What is the point? Why don't you simply tell me what you're thinking of? Is the goal to ultimately torture it out of you? I could imagine such an exercise from soldiers, not... yourself."

With Elliot not really debating him back, it seemed Starscream would have to save his figurative popcorn for another time.

He seemed at least somewhat serious.

Viktor observed the quarrel, unimpressed by yet another clash between hotheads.

"I could end everyone's suffering," The Machine Herald interjected, "should they choose to join the Glorious Evolution. All of that pain, be it physical or mental, can easily be made bearable by the use of mechanical augmentation."

"Now, cease this senseless conflict," Viktor proclaimed, growing tired of the overabundance of squabbles. "Both of you are falling victim to the primitiveness of your minds."​

「Guess I'll be the third person or so to turn you down. My weak flesh has been real supportive of me so far, you know?」

He hadn't been counting exactly, but the Machine Herald's passion project didn't seem to have a ton of supporters. Unsurprisingly.

"Despite this, nobody at the College of Techmaturgy believed me, and Stanwick received all of the credit." He looked back at Sarge. "But, I digress. Blitzcrank is one of the projects that I am most proud of. He is nearly indestructible, and has developed profound sentience and self-sufficiency," he said, glancing in Blitzcrank's direction. "I have yet to replicate my success, though. Without the knowledge of what caused his... 'awakening', so to speak, each robot I create fails to meet expectations. I can only continue my experiments in hopes of making this discovery." Blitzcrank was silent throughout all of this. In fact, the two had never spoken a word to each other since they arrived here. Odd.​

At the mention of games, Grif only rolled his eyes behind his helmet.

“Pfft.. fuck that. I’m not playing some stupid game.” Grif said before laying down and going to sleep.

Within the Ultramarines, the word 'game' translates to a rarely-used metaphor for battle strategems and chapter tactics, or bloody sparring matches between battle-brothers to fine-tune their combat skills and develop their resistances to pain and injury. To Titus, actual, human games were things played by tiny, undisciplined children and snobbish nobles who behave much like children anyway.

The captain silently elected to observe, planning his chainsword into the floor and staring at the group, expecting them to start fighting.
