Peter Quill/ Star-Lord

" I'm going to head to the infirmary. Better get the bullet wound I got checked out, even if I get the bullet pulled out. Don't need to die from an infection," he said, looking over at Cortex and shrugging one shoulder as he said this,.

Nathan followed Quill, worried about his condition.

He also had some worry about Elliot's current state, from just seeing him being carried away unconscious.

"Quill is your shoulder okay dude?" he asked, staring at the man's wound in fascination.

"Boarding the Normandy"

With the combined efforts of Vader and Emily, the hole in the ship was sealed, though the cargo bay was left in complete disarray

"The goal was to scare you off," Shepard explained, "but things seem a lot more complicated than we believed." She gestured to Steve. "This is Steve Cortez."

Steve nodded at the others but soon noticed Vega groaning as he got to his feet. "Ah, James..." Steve walked over to his friend and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "You all right?"

"Hm." James grunted and shrugged Steve off. "Yeah, I'm good."

"Good job on the hole," Shepard said. She nodded her head and walked over toward Meceliss. "All right, it's time to arrange some talks so we can all be on the same page."

***

Shepard wrangled the situation, using the commlink between Meceliss and Mizelia to communicate to both the Enterprise and the Discovery. She requested that representatives from each ship come on board the Normandy to help alleviate the situation. As well, she requested that the beings from "other universes" come aboard as well. She offered to send a shuttle for those that needed it, but with the communications link established, the Discovery was able to lock in the Normandy's coordinates and beam everyone on to the ship.

From the Discovery came Burnham and Stamets, while Kirk and Spock joined from the Enterprise. Considering the ongoing situation, the Discovery outfitted their guests with communicators to their clothing so that they could speak with the bridge crew whenever they wished.

She gathered everyone, including her most trusted crew, to the War Room so that everything could be laid out on the table.

"... So," Shepard began, after hearing the exhaustive accounts, "you're saying you can't use this 'spore drive' technology again, because the network it runs on doesn't exist in our universe?"

z7hQYx0.png

"That is correct," Burnham said. "So, our situation is more dire now than ever. We have a large number of displaced individuals with no means of returning them where they came from."

5uV1QsP.png

"And I can't say it helped to have been fired upon," Stamets quipped.

James grimaced. "Hey, the commander already told you. You could have been anything and we were firing warning shots. If we had shot to kill, both of your ships would have been destroyed!"

tumblr_inline_ngqq8j2v3x1sk47ji.jpg

"An illogical statement based on conjecture," Spock cut in for a moment, turning his gaze to Vega. "Without knowing each other's full capabilities, the battle could have gone either way had we all not managed to cease the battle, though considering you were technically outnumbered by a notable margin, it would be more--"

"Spock. Now's... not the time," Kirk interrupted, clearing his throat to get back on track.

Stamets shrugged at this while Burnham waited patiently. "... We understand your position," she said. "We are just thankful we managed to eventually establish communications."

wF4mrFx.png

"It is very interesting," said a lithe, female robot named EDI. "That it was so hard to set up a line of communication speaks to the disparity in our various technologies. I could learn much from studying your ships, if only there were not more dire matters at hand."

"She's right," said Shepard with a small sigh. "I'm afraid we're currently at war, so our resources are limited." She looked to EDI. "Have you heard back from Kaidan or Samantha?"

"Negative, commander. We have heard no word from the Citadel."

"Just as well..." She looked back to Burnham. "Considering the possible ramifications of your own situation, we will put our mission on hold to at least get you back on track. After that is done, I am afraid we'll have to return to duty. In the meantime..." She looked around at everyone. "EDI and I will stay here with these officers to discuss what could possibly be done to get you back home. You are welcome to explore the ship at your leisure, which is a courtesy for the hard time we have given you."

tumblr_inline_mnhnoxn_O1_W1qz4rgp.png

"Very generous indeed, Commander," the Captain of the Enterprise said on behalf of the displaced group, "I'm confident that as long as we work together, we'll certainly be able to think of something. Shall we, then?"

"Hmph." James stalked off, not one for this kind of work.

What seemed the most interesting places to explore were the cargo bay, where repairs were being done after the fighting, the infirmary, where Elliot was currently being held, and the crew quarters where both rest and food could be found.

Gumi immediately rushed to her brother, all smiles. "Bro! Guess what? I helped solve a crisis!"

"You did?" Gakupo was a bit surprised, but still smiled. Considering he was out of commission a while, Gumi's aid was a blessing. "Excellent work, Gumi."

"Yeah! All I had to do was cry and be sad, and everything worked out!"

"Um. Gumi, that's called manipulation. It's...not good."

"Aww...but it worked! No one ever took me that seriously before!" Even if he told her it was bad, maybe there was something to this whole manipulation thing. Hmm... "Well, I'm off to the crew quarters! I wonder what space food is like over here..."

Gumi took off, and Gakupo looked around the crew. "Pardon me, but I was wondering if I could get assistance with something." He lifted up the hem of his Jinbaori a few inches to reveal the hole in his leg. "Could someone tell me where I can get this patched up? I've had it since the zombie encounter on the Discovery and would like to make sure it doesn't come back to harm me later."

Emily was a little tired... But after the crew of all 3 ships managed to settle things to some degree, bringing light to the situation, she smiled a little... Seeing Gumi and Gakupo re-unite like that. It almost reminded her of what things were like with her and her younger brother, re-uniting after a long, hard battle.

Though, remembering Elliot, Emily turned to Gakupo, seeming a bit guilty about leaving him to tend to the hole in his leg for now.

TX8rTla.png

"I'll be in the Infirmary. There's... Something I need to do. I won't be long." She said, hesitating for a moment before she turned and started on her way.

Of course, the thought occurred to her that the infirmary might be where Gakupo was directed anyways, if the Normandy was used to treating robots... Or well, artificial humans at least, alongside other patients.

Meceliss and Mizelia head towards the crew qiarters.

Titus remained silent for much of the meeting, seeming sympathetic with the commander's concerns once she mentioned that they were in the midst of the war. Titus didn't need to ask for the details of the conflict, as the grim tone of her voice spoke volumes about the state of the war. Had the captain been in her position, from the way it looks from here, it's unlikely he'd be willing to spare the generosity she did. The weight of commanding a few hundred - maybe even a thousand souls is a heavy load to bear. It was as honorable as it was foolish from a tactical perspective, but the Astartes had nothing but respect for the un-augmented men and women that are willing to fight the same wars that would tear a space marine asunder.

Whether or not they died for the Emperor or some other master, it was the essence of mankind to fight for their right to exist. Titus could do nothing but respect that fact.

View attachment 2676

"A moment of respite. Recover yourselves, brothers and sisters. I imagine we'll be caught in another battle soon enough," Titus idly remarked to anyone who remained in the room, carrying his helmet under his arm. Without any announcement, the space marine turned and stomped off towards the crew quarters, specifically seeking a quiet place with a nice view of the stars. He wasn't tired or wounded at all, but a moment of rest is always valuable.

A prayer or two couldn't hurt, either.

"Well, at least I didn't lose any arms or legs this time," Starscream adds as he his entire body crashes in on the site as he transforms back into his robot mode and faces the big, gaping hole, not seeming to mind it too much.

"... it seems that the more worrying matter is that we're late for the party."

Starscream notices all fighting coming to a close and the hole fixed with combined efforts.

"I'll go have my own brand of recreation," Starscream says as one of his hands hold his back, his feet clanking towards the Infirmary.

Quill noticed that Nathan had followed him to the infirmary.

He hadn't noticed that Elliot had been struck unconscious as he had been bartering with Alvarez with a twinkie.

" It should be fine, just want to make sure it wasn't infected. I have gotten a lot worse blows and survived." The wound was bleeding, but was not fatal.

Shepard looked at Gakupo's leg, realizing only then that he was a synthetic like EDI. She thought the predicament over for a moment. "I suppose your best bet would be either Liara in the Crew Quarters or Lieutenant Adams, though the latter is currently busy seeing to the Cargo Bay."

At the infirmary, Elliot was one of the few patients there, and the only one who seemed to be going through anything currently major. A woman looked him over for a moment before she noticed the people coming inside. "Ah," she muttered before walking over to them. Elliot was awake but looked pretty exhausted.

"Don't crowd around him and give him some space if that's what you're here for. Otherwise, see me at my desk if you have any injuries you need seeing to. Just so you know, I am Doctor Karin Chakwas." She walked off, taking a seat at a desk just across from the medical beds.

Steve Cortez walked in then and spotted Peter. "Hey, man," he said, walking up to him, looking embarrassed. "Just wanted to apologize for shooting you like I did. Was just doing what I had to. I hope you understand."

“Boarding an enemy ship with barely any weapons...I’m not stupid enough to do that, reckless, yes, stupid, no.”
Rin had decided not to go into the portal after a long hesitatation, and began to go back to the recreation room and get some food.

Even after a lot of rest, Rin didn’t have the motivation to focus on a meeting she obviously didn’t want to listen to. Sighing when the meeting ended, she picked herself up and considered her options. She’s got lots of rest already, and the cargo bay doesn’t have jack.

@Infirmary

Arriving at the Infirmary, Emily complied and tried to give Elliot some space; to say the least... She felt guilty for not noticing his state sooner. Her exertions with her stone magic had tired her out, but she had been so focused on trying to keep conscious... And aloof in the situation that she had failed to realize that Elliot might have been worse off than she was.

As she wasn't in a state to carry him properly, she had at the very least, managed to carry him to a safer area on the scene, until everything was taken care of from there... And Elliot was able to be given proper care.

cV6zlAu.png

"Is he going to be okay?" She asked, a look of worry quite prominent on her face.

Of course, from experiencing this herself once... She suspected Elliot may have just passed out from over exerting himself with those portals, but... At the same time, she worried that there may have been something more...

Maybe it would have been better if she had convinced him to not make those portals somehow... But yet... For whatever reason, she couldn't find it in her at that moment... And it seemed they both payed the price for that.

Krystal was also in the infirmary, a patient there. What had happened to her? She had been injured badly... but how she couldn't recollect. The Last thing she remembered was talking to Vert, and then all of a sudden next thing she could remember was her injured and in the infirmary. "What... happened..." was all she could mutter.

Titus halted his search upon seeing Vega standing there. The grunt looked annoyed and irritated - which was understandable, considering he almost died. The space marine placed his helmet on a table and looked around the quarters. It was a bit more human in appearance, compared to the overly sleek interiors of the Discovery and the Enterprise, but still untouched by the familiar industrial decay and grandeur of Imperial ships.

View attachment 2677

"No point. Bravado is only worth it if your enemy is still alive to hear it. I don't find myself in that situation often," Titus spoke idly, running his gauntlet along the counter. He'd look at James and try his best to seem diplomatic. "I don't imagine your commander would normally send you off to die on purpose, so I can only assume you stayed in that hangar bay with your own will."

". . .You held your own against an entire kill-team, alone and outnumbered. Not a deed an average guardsman can claim."

"Don't mind me, Doctor," Starscream says as he stands by the side of the entrance to allow others in, "I'll just hang around."

He picks up on conversation going around the infirmary.

"I have to agree with you over there, Missus," Starscream says to Dr Mrs, "while it is true that he has indeed aided us, he did so after wreckless trial and error that nearly sucked four of us into what I assume is a black hole. I want to say that we should look over him before judgement, seeing that he is able to make good contributions to our team, but how are we not certain that he will bring us more harm than good in the long run?"

"Yes," Chakwas muttered, examining Peter's wound. She did not happen to hear Sheila, nor Starscream's follow-up. "It could be a lot worse. It should be a lot worse. Very odd. Do you have a normal physiology?" She began to write down some notes.

"He should be fine," she said to Emily, before glancing over to Krystal. "That one should be fine too."

Steve let out an amused snort. "Is that so?" he said to Peter. "To be fair, you definitely look like a guy who's been through a couple of scrapes. If I hadn't had the advantageous position, the encounter might have gone a whole lot different."

James looked blankly at the kitchen around him. "Well, there's food in the cooler, or you can cook. Don't know anything about a synthesizer. Do you... not know how to cook?"

Out of the corner of his eye, James saw Gakupo heading to a closed door nearby and held out his hand. "Woah there, hold up, you can't go in there right now."

He took a step toward the android, looking a little on edge. Heading in any way wasn't up for debate. After a moment, he looked to Titus. "I-- Well, yeah, it's not the kind of situation I haven't faced before. The Commander was counting on me and I couldn't let her down. I saw her on those vids all the time, being so..." He cleared his throat. "It was something."

He relaxed a little and moved to lean against the counter. "So, what's the deal with you guys? I get that you're all from different universes, but half of you look like soldiers while the rest are just a bunch of kids. Really weird combo, don't you think?"

Men and women crowded the cargo bay, doing work on the damages. One man seemed to be leading them, his eyes glued to an orange holographic device on his right arm. He did not notice Sarge walk in.

Peter Quill/Star-Lord

Peter would have normally taken the time to flirt, but he didn't really feel it was a good idea to do that now. " Well, not exactly. I was exposed to space since I was about eight and my dad was a living planet. I still have some remains of the power I had there, but it's sporadic at best. Celestial is I believe what he called himself."

Quill ignored the amused snort and looked over at him. " I have been in a few fights, both from the law and in the bar. Probably biggest was containing the energy of a very big rock that could have killed me. That may be true, but we will never know."

"Psh, I don't need to cook! I don't even need to eat! Everything I eat or drink goes into a tiny compartment in my gut that I clean out. Do you wanna see?"

"Gumi, that's not necessary." Gakupo joined the little group, looking to James. "Pardon me, do you know where I might find a Liara? I was told to come here."

"Being from different places is great! It's also awful too. Some of us play games and eat and joke around, but then others try to kill everybody. It's fun."
