"Joshua...be careful," Azura warned quietly as she hesitantly moved to stand beside him. He was at least nice to her, so she may as well stay nearby for now.

Turning to Road, face blank Azura studied her. She appeared to be so young. Azura was a bit creeped out by her smile though.

Clearing her throat softly, she wondered if the girl would even notice her attempt to speak to her at all.

"If you have any want to clash with this woman, it'd be best not to do so here. Too many people, not much space it seems...and it wouldn't be worth it, as it seems that our captors may want something like that." she couldn't help but give the scientists a rather cold glance at the mentioning of them before returning her attention to Road, her gaze softening.

The Nohrian princess was tempted to test and see if singing the song her mother taught her would work in calming everyone--well the select few who were so angry that they were throwing threats they might actually act upon and punching glass--down.

Having busied himself with calming music, Lucio seemed to overlook the conflicts breaking out around him. The one between Jason and Revy seemed like it wasn't going to break out into anything huge, but out of the corner of his eye, he saw a young woman, eerily approaching Riesbyfe in a way that conveyed hostility. The musician glanced around at the others for a moment, incidentally tuning out the conversation he was in as he noticed Joshua move forward.

And the things he said brought some hope into Lucio's heart.

"My boy Joshua over here has the right idea!" Lucio exclaimed, sliding over to the conflict and patting Joshua on the shoulder, looking around to face Riesbyfe and the young woman. "See, I don't like bein' all dramatic 24/7, but if you wanna look at it realistically-- if this is what we all think it is, then we ain't gonna make it out there if these egghead scientists trynna experiment on us, one by one."

"See, I don't like bein' all dramatic 24/7, but if you wanna look at it realistically-- if this is what we all think it is, then we ain't gonna make it out there if these egghead scientists trynna experiment on us, one by one."

"S'that seem fair to you guys?"

Lucio asked aloud, nudging Joshua playfully and somehow keeping a smile plastered on his face despite what grim fate he had just suggested. With some real effort, life can be sunshine in rainbows, if you want to make it that way for yourself and others. People like Twisted Fate relish in that kind of mindset, and if that's the case, then Lucio hopes they don't spread their depressing words to everyone else to try and stress them out.

"Relax, Ries. I'm sorry if I made you upset. I should have known better. What can I say? I call it as I see it,"

Clark humbly backed down, a smile in hand as he turned to the people grouped with him.

The man of steel took a side near Joshua and Ries. The way he held himself said it all. However, that didn't stop him from speaking.

"This isn't going to help anyone or anything. Starting fights and fighting the world is going to get not just other people, but yourself killed. Whatever issue you have with Ries? Shelve it. We need to work together. Please,"

It was the please part that was kinder than the rest. Clark was worried just like everyone else. But he had to be calm. He had to protect everyone.

"If that's the case, I had no clue that you were an android. Never would've guessed."

Blake never guessed that Miku would be different, but even with that, she still seemed pretty normal compared to some given what he was hearing in the background. Just thinking that these scientists felt the need to bring shady people like himself here and then innocent people like Miku along, it felt terrible... It was worst than the morally gray situation Blake had with his job, being painted as the killer of killers...

tumblr_inline_ng0i8iFkes1shpc29.png

"So you're only a pop star... someone who has no right to be in the same situation as a vigilante like me. That's just sickening... it makes me feel all sorts of anger inside..."

Something about all of this really did make him angry, and it's been a while since he's felt like this. Despite this, he worked up a smile soon enough, he wasn't the time to mope, complain, and whine for long, not when he figured that such grace period of time shouldn't be wasted with negative thoughts...

tumblr_inline_ng0i7pv6N81shpc29.png

"Well, I'm not going to let that anger out, it won't be pretty anyways. Just know that I'll be busy once something big happens. Not letting harm be done to the people who don't deserve to be here. Sounds like the plan to me, ehehe?"

One thing that people like Warpath would have to learn, it's that Jason was one stubborn motherfucker. He approached Revy yet again and looked her over.

"Listen, Amigo, I've got about a hundred billion nerves in my body and you're gettin' on every last one of 'em. Now if you even so much as breathe wrong, I can guarantee that you'll regret it. Are. We. Clear?"

Alice looked around, at everyone, after Cullen had mentioned not knowing the UAA or Santa Destroy. So...they were all strangers, then? Then why were they here? How did they get here?

And why the Hell was everyone so calm about this?!

"Hey," she went back to the window, hesitant to hit it now. "Why are we here, if not to kill each other? I need to go home-I have an important fight tomorrow-today-soon, and neither of us can just back out." That would tarnish her reputation as the Rank 2 Assassin...and probably get her and Travis killed. Alice had never missed a fight.

Schala Zeal - Prologue; The Blank Dream

4yHWPLf.jpg

Zeal was once a great marvel... A timeless symbol, of the great power its residents had been bestowed, regarded almost like gods by those below. However, such power rarely came without a price, and the ones the Kingdom of Zeal had once reveled in, certainly was no different.

For many years, its residents lived a high life, both figuratively and literally... With access to incredible technologies, and boundless amounts of power, but even this wasn't enough to satisfy Queen Zeal herself.

Using her very own daughter, Schala, she sought to summon the very source of this power and awakened the great destroyer... Lavos, from its ancient slumber.

Despite a short-lived intervention from a group of unlikely heroes, and even a false prophet of sorts, Lavos was much too powerful to contain, let alone destroy... And with an immense display of power, he struck down the Kingdom of Zeal and sent its residents hurtling to the ground, save for Queen Zeal herself, who ascended to a new level of power... And a few others, including Schala herself, who were scattered through time and space.

The last thing Schala could remember was using the last of the power she had in her amulet to send those that she could away from their impending doom... Before Lavos's thunderous roar rung out through the heavens, and the Kingdom of Zeal was torn apart.

Just as she felt the ground beginning to give away beneath her, she was suddenly enveloped in blackness.

It was hard to tell if she was dead, or alive, but all sense of depth perception seemed to leave her, as she could not see anything but darkness around her... However, she could feel the presence of something else that was drawing her closer and closer.

Whatever it was, it sent shivers down her spine, leaving her rather... Unsettled to say the least. She had no intention of moving closer to whatever it was, in here with her... But it seemed she had no choice... Almost like it was physically pulling her towards it.

Just then, a bright, all-encompassing light surrounded her, but instead of giving her a feeling of warmth, she felt more like she was being tossed into a pool of water... And soon, all her feelings, and senses faded away, for seemingly no reason at all.

For the first time in a while, she was truly... At peace.

No dreams, no nightmares, no worries, no thoughts... Nothing but an eternal, blankness.

A blank dream, or so it seemed.

Eventually, she awoke, stirring lightly as she realized her senses were returning to her... And she could hear others beginning to stir around her too.

Cracking open her eyes, she found herself in an unfamiliar place, a lab... Unlike anything that she's ever seen before in her life...

When she finally got herself up, taking a better look at her surroundings, she noticed that she, along with many others, were contained in a box made up of either glass or plastic; it was hard to tell just by looking at it, being observed by countless individuals, who were dressed in uniforms she had never seen the likes of in the Kingdom of Zeal.

It was pretty apparent that wherever she was, it clearly wasn't home... Nor was it any fathomable timeline she could remember, so... Where was she? When was she?

She and the others were soon told to wait patiently, that they would feel the effects of their transition for a few minutes, whatever that meant.

Well, perhaps these effects of whatever transition had happened, was this sudden stiffness in her body... Like she was suddenly burdened with a heavy load that was never there, and a dull ache in her head... As if something was missing.

Fortunately, she had no weapons to lose, unless her amulet counted as one, which she searched her own body for, just to make sure it's there.

Though, regardless of if it was... Schala, unlike some others, who were more restless, and wanted answers as soon as possible... Decided to sit down, crossing her legs as she closed her eyes, trying to bring back that tranquil feeling she had during that transition between that darkness, where she ended up after the Ocean Palace incident and her arrival here.

That moment of uninterrupted peace, that she hoped would bring her comfort once more... At least, until a further explanation was given, in due time.

However, if anyone wanted to interact with her, she probably wouldn't be too bothered.

On the other hand, she was a bit absorbed with trying to reach a sort of... Meditative state, so much so that someone would probably have to tap her on the shoulder, or get her attention in some other, reasonably noticeable way.

James Proudstar - Warpath

Warpath simply stared at Palpatine for a moment. One hand reaching over to the Arkham Knight, lightly swatting the back of his armored head.

He first spoke to Palpatine.

"I am sorry sir, but I do not know much at all. We appear to have all been snatched up from our various worlds by these Scientists," he said, pointing at the spot in the glass where the scientists can be seen most clearly, "Perhaps you could try and reason with them? Though personally, I am doubtful."

His long arm, if the Arkham Knight hasn't at least looked this way, gently but insistently grabs up an armored arm and pulls him back.

"Arkham, please quit playing with that crazy woman and come meet this fellow over here,"

Palpatine, with his extensive skills of watching people, can see that Warpath by his body language was startled to see the older man.

"And me without popcorn to enjoy if you two talkers stop talking and start fightin'," Jinx pouted, hovering in place like she was lying down. It had become clear trying to break out was a pointless exercise and she was deprived of her armaments. That left her with but one option(well two if you count her vowing to throw those scientists in the deepest black hole she could find when she was able): to find entertainment among this crowd of strangers. And Fate. Speaking of...

"Hey, Fatey! Didja see this one in the cards?"

The scientist known as William looked momentarily surprised that he was being directly spoken to at all, but he soon took pleasure in the fact as a smirk appeared on his face. "You won't have time for games," he said to Cagliostro, "But it'll be exciting soon enough," The woman beside him turned and shot him an unimpressed look, to which William waved her off.

After clearing her throat, the woman turned to Cagliostro and said, "We're not interested in those conditions, but tell us-- how did it feel when you attempted to use your abilities on the glass? Was there pain or numbness?"

She then looked to Alice. "I won't lie. You're not going home."

"Hold on," said the scientist in sunglasses. He was looking in Laharl's direction. He gestured for him to come closer to the glass and said, "You, come here," He then whispered something to the female scientist next to him, though both Cagliostro and Alice would hear something about 'language.'

Schala found she still had her amulet.

Senna Prologue - Alive

A memory, a fleeting dream in human form. That was Senna’s embodiment and she knew it. She was never meant to exist and now it was time for her to go away. She was the Shinenju, a being made up of memories of lost souls. The only way those lost souls could ever pass on was if she sacrificed herself, returning their memories to them. Not only would she accomplish this, but she would save Ichigo and his beautiful world in the process.

Senna the Soul Reaper could feel her life slipping away in Ichigo’s arms, a life she had willingly given away. She waited out the remainder of her life, resting limply in Ichigo’s hold. He stood with her in his arms within the graveyard of Senna’s family, the place she had begged him to visit as her final wish. She longed to look upon the grave, to see the proof with her own eyes that she and her family had once existed. That, at one point in time, she truly had been alive. But, try as she might, the girl couldn’t see the names on the grave. Her vision was blurring, fading along with her short life.

“Is it there?” he asked, her voice trembling with longing. She wholeheartedly relied on Ichigo, hoping he would tell her the truth—even if it wasn’t the truth she wanted to hear.

“It’s there, clear as day,” he replied. “You used to live in this town and you had a family.”

Senna wept at the thought, warm tears slipping down her cheeks. “I-I’m so happy.”

She had no way of knowing if he was telling the truth, but she wanted to believe him. She felt it within her entire being, she had once existed. Knowing Ichigo had confirmed that for her made Senna happier than anyone could ever imagine.

“I feel warm.”

She was ready to go, and yet in her heart somehow she wished she had more time…

“Ichigo, will we ever meet again?”

A voice of hesitance replied to her own. “What’cha talking about? …of course we will.”

His words were the last thing she heard before Senna entirely faded from existence, the world around her fading to black.

And yet, this blackness wasn’t the end for the lost girl. No, she felt herself subjected to a strange sensation of light, fierce cold, and finally darkness. The darkness seemed to last for ages until Senna found herself awakening, trapped in an unfamiliar glass prison with a good majority of other individuals. She sat up and groaned, stretching out her back before slowly making her way to her feet.

CsNQbIn.png

"I-I'm... alive? What?!" she questioned to nobody in particular, groggy as her orange eyes gazed around the area. "Did the Soul Society kidnap me and take me away? I don't get what's going on or how I'm even here," she mumbled to herself, scratching her head. She attempted to sort out her own thoughts before she would approach anyone else.

nashetania_by_juneshero-dav33ck.png

Nashetania observed the growing conflicts with concern in her eyes. It started when Riesbyfe seemed to recognized Alucard. She was unsure of why the knight's demeanor turned sour so quickly--but she knew that it had to stop. The situation seemed to spiral out of control even further when Road spoke up, leering and jibing at Riesbyfe. Thankfully, Joshua and a handful of others stood up to the plate, seeking to quell the argument before it worsened.

"J-Joshua and... and Lucio are right." Nashetania chimed in, eyeing the scene from a bit behind. She seemed to shudder and shake more, becoming more and more light-headed as time passed by. She was never any good at this. Even when the seven braves turned on each other, she was never able to keep herself together.

"And I'm pretty sure that those behind the glass want to see us fight each other." She noted, seeking out one of the walls. Nashetania leaned against it, casting her dizzied gaze to the ceiling. "Please, don't give them what they want."

...It was then that Nashetania realized that another woman, with bright blue hair, had awoken and was speaking. She had pretty, golden eyes. The rabbit woman eyed the Nohrian princess with a small smile.

"I'm Nashetania. Nice to meet you." She introduced herself, before realizing what was happening with Cagliostro. It seemed that the young alchemist's attempts to analyze the glass had gone sour--and the scientists were now paying rapt attention to her. Nashetania's eyes narrowed. "Cagliostro, be careful." She called over softly to the young woman.

jfkljHz.png

After gathering her thoughts, the amethyst-haired girl casually walked over to a couple of people, Blake and Miku, to speak with. "Hi, there! I'm lost as to what's going on. Can either of you tell me where I'm at? Pleaaaase tell me this doesn't have anything to do with the Soul Society," she mumbled towards the end, letting out a heavy sigh.

Distracted only seconds later, she added another question to her previous one. "Oh! And do either of you have something I could use to tie my hair back with? I think I lost my ribbon." Senna pursed her lips. "Actually, no, that stupid dummy lost my ribbon. Hmph! Next time I see him I'm making him buy me a new one!"

Shifting around on the ground in what must have been a fitful sleep, the large hatted, blue roped figure let off a pained groan and pushed himself up to sit. "Uggh... my aching head." He commented to himself, his face entirely obscured by too-dark shadows under his large hat. His voice was somewhat boyish but had a strange raspy distortion to it which masked any definitive guesses. He was unconscious through any announcements and was among the last in the prison to actually awaken, save for the red-haired and armored companion why was curled up in a fetal position on the ground next to him, snoring away. Turning and shaking the cold armored shoulder of the man, he urgently whispered, "Fighter! Fighter! Wake up you idiot."

The shaking and words were only met by a sleep-filled groan and some mutterings. "No no mister giant... it's far too large to fit..."

Growing annoyed by his companion's persistent slumber, the robed figure pushed himself to a stand and began kicking the man in the head with a modest amount of force. "You wake up right now, you dolt!" He grunted out between kicks, but the red-haired man's head only jarred a small bit as he slowly awoke from his sleep.

After half a dozen or so, the man began to stir more, letting out a rather loud yawn as he pulled himself to sit up. "Aww... it was such a nice sleep. They were so shiny..." he commented, half to himself, still sounding drunk on sleep. Fighter looked around, reaching up to rub the sleep from his eyes as he took in the rather large group of people. "Did I miss a party or something? Oh! BM! Is it my birthday already!?" The sudden 'realization' stirred him awake and he sprang to his feet with youthful exuberance.

"What? No, it's not your birthday! Why would so many people even care if- you know what, never mind..." he already sounded exhausted from five seconds of interaction. "We just need to figure out where we are and how we get the heck out of it..."

Seemingly undeterred by the lack of birthdays, Fighter stepped around in a modest circle from where he awoke. No one else was in the immediate area, some people were still unconscious but most others had formed groups and were talking, among other things, among themselves. "Well, let's just go ask."

"What? You can't just ASK things like that. You never know who might be looking to just stab you in the back. We just have to pretend like we know exactly what we are doing and what is going on, and just blend in until we can get out of here. If only we knew where here was exactly." He too surveyed the area, doing a slow spin with his glowing yellow eyes beadily peering out from the darkness. "Just... don't say anything stupid to blow our cover, for once in your damned life."

"Not going home...? Why aren't we going home?!" Alice asked her second question in a very loud voice so people around could hear it, and hopefully, she could cause an uproar. She had to go home-there was no other option.

"..."

There was silence for a moment, Miku trying to figure out her next choice of words. Raising her head from her knees, she looked over in the direction of the glass that the scientists stood behind. "We don't know why we're here yet. Maybe, for all we know, we could all have something in commo--"

She stopped as soon as the amethyst-haired girl approached them, speaking of wanting to know where they were... And needing a hair tie, apparently.

qTSfkb2.png

"Nobody knows. I don't even know what's going on." As for her hair tie dilemma, she had her own that kept her pigtails back, but she needed those for the time being. Otherwise, her hair had a tendency to get in the way. Definitely knew that by experience.

tumblr_inline_ng0i9kN0JY1shpc29.png

"I don't think anyone here knows what's going on... but I think this has nothing to do with some Soul Society or whatever you just said, miss. I'm also afraid that I can't offer you a ribbon... despite the fact that you look well enough that you wouldn't need an accessory like that..."

As he said that, Blake was sure that Miku was wondering if they were all taken into some experiment that related to the fact that they all share one common trait... something that might explain for itself why this was even happening in the first place. With the addition of Senna, Blake wasn't sure how to respond to her questions other than how he said so just now, but he didn't want to give this girl any more panic. It just bothered him to see and hear all of this distress... and to top it all off.
"Not going home...? Why aren't we going home?!"

tumblr_inline_n3ksxvCQPt1sy4uqk.png

"... no way, I..."

... don't believe that. I've got people waiting on me... counting on me.

That's what he wanted to say out loud, but again, he didn't want to cause too much of a ruckus. It wasn't like him. Either way, he stood up, ready to do something to see if he could break through this glass box. However, he noticed that his cube that generated his PWM wasn't activating whenever he tapped onto that single button on its side. Snapping the mechanical cube off of his belt, Blake peeked through the glass of the contraption to see that its power core was missing, most likely that the scientists had removed it to ensure that he wouldn't try to break out and possibly researching it to replicate it at this rate.

tumblr_inline_ng0i9mtIsn1shpc29.png

"N-no wonder it wasn't working earlier... they removed the power core for it... well, they could've at least left an I.O.U. note so I would've noticed this earlier..."

The scientists exchanged glances, William, in particular, looking amused. "Was that not fairly obvious?" he asked.

From behind Alice, Cullen spoke up. "You're seriously daft, aren't you? The bloke has a point. We're probably not leaving anytime soon, at least not with their permission."

uk3rp8M.png

The boy sighed. "Panic and get everyone else going if you want, but we're stuck for now whether we like it or not. I for one would rather not get trampled to death in here."

Jaffaringame.png

As conversations started up and fights were being broken up Jaffar didn't seem to react to any of it. His eyes in particular locked onto a group of scientists. His eyes appeared soulless as his expression was completely blank which would make it hard for anyone to tell what the assassin was thinking about. After all, the only thing on the assassin's mind was escaping so he could see if Nino was able to escape or not.

So he remained still with his back near one of the glass walls. He was deathly silent as he felt talking at this point was completely pointless. He just had to simply wait for one of these scientists to make a mistake grave enough to allow him a chance to strike. Only then would the killing machine do what he did best.

"Not going home...? Why aren't we going home?!"

So it seems they weren't going home...? This certainly won't do but Jaffar knew better than start an uproar about it. So he simply kept to himself on the matter. The trained assassin simply keeping quiet as it seemed.

"Nice to meet you too, despite us being boxed in,"

Kujou simply tilted her head a little, as though confused. The girl looked like she didn't quite get the joke.

Talking...really is hard...

"Those sick bastards... They brought an innocent girl into this mess? When I get my cards back, I swear I'll..."

Kujou turned Twisted Fate's way as she heard him mutter. She'd been trying to understand the other man's joke, to little avail, so she didn't really hear exactly what he said. Leaned against the wall, with his hat down, he didn't look like he was doing too well. Walking up to him, Kujou slipped her hand under his hat and against his forehead, in a manner like taking his temperature.
