After two weeks of grinding through the process of moving posts and descriptions, the Omniverse is at last setup on Storyteller's Circle! During the move we took the opportunity to update a lot of our information threads to make it more streamline and easier to guide new players to join the roleplay.
I moved all of the posts over under the account 'Omniverse Chronicler' and credited posts to their original authors, but group posts and character profile threads I didn't move over. This is so that people will have ownership of the threads for editing purposes.
In the move we dissolved the Onyx Galaxy into the Milky Way - which ICly is now known as both the Onyx Galaxy and Milky Way depending on region. This decision was made due to the simple lack of players to support two galaxies, let alone three, and Sentry's wish to no longer continue the Onyx Galaxy as its own entity. By merging the two, very little will be impacted IC. Regions that previously existed in the Onyx Galaxy will just be assumed to have been in a remote region of the Milky Way, and locally they have come to know the galaxy as the Onyx Galaxy.
Aside from that, little else has changed IC. The roleplay has been transplanted in its entirety. As it becomes clear which players are officially staying behind or dropping out, I'll begin archiving discontinued regions to make room for new content.
We made some OOC changes as well though in the move. The most prominent of these changes is that while the Omniverse still remains open to anyone of any skill level or genre interest, all new players are now required to go through a GM to join. This will help to cut down on confusion and to make sure each new players is personally integrated into existing plot-lines. As an alternative to going through the GMs, if anyone wants to bring friends into the Omniverse and would like to personally help them get situated, that's more than fine. Just let a GM know and we can get the new person added to the Omniverse group so they can post in the IC forums.
We will be working hard to draw new users to the website - and subsequently the Omniverse - but we will need everyone playing their part in helping to make sure new arrivals are well received. Please make all effort to reach out to new people and make sure they feel welcome and at home.
And lastly if anyone has any friends, acquaintances, or former roleplay partners that they think would be interested in joining the Omniverse, please invite them over!
