Resolved/Answered Disabling my account.

There's no method of disabling accounts (in the sense of getting rid of them/removing them from activity) given that it's a roleplay forum. Either an account is active (being used by an active user) or inactive (not being used by an active user) both states of which don't require any modification to the account. The only third state is removing the account outright which is something we don't offer because it would leave big holes in peoples roleplays, and discussion threads (both of which are group projects) if the account was suddenly gone along with all the posts. It also would result in removing OTHER peoples posts in the event that a deleted account started a thread that other people posted into.

Our stance on this is that people are welcome to bow out of using the website at any time, but they are not welcome to destroy group threads that others have equally contributed to on their way out. Our terms of use covers this to protect our users who participate in group threads. Writers who post content on our site retain copyright of their work, but the website retains license to use that content on our site (thus we're not required to remove it if someone leaves the site). That said, personal threads (outside of contained epic roleplays) that other users haven't posted into we will remove on a case by case basis to our archives.

If you want to discontinue using your account, all you need to do is go into your settings and make sure all the e-mail contact/notifications options are disabled.
