Hi,

You can call me Jiang or Ji or G (get it?). Anyway, I am a recent refugee from RolePlayGateway. My username on RPG was VindicatedPurpose. I used to be active but then got busy then returned because I missed play-by-post as a creative outlet/format but more than that I missed an online community space dedicated to roleplaying. So I was a little saddened to find that RPG is down (potentially permanently) and that the maker/owner has been MIA/hard to reach.

Patcharoo (idk if they go by another name on this site) suggested that this might be a good new pasture, so please send them some thanks and internet cookies.

My go-to for roleplaying has been space opera/cyberpunk/sci-fi and high/epic/mythic fantasy.

IRL, I am a writer, filmmaker, and sometimes actor (all aspiring).

I look forward to making new friends and telling more stories.

What sort of stories do you like? And do they differ based on what medium you are using? (Film, acting, writing...)

Welcome to Storyteller's Circle. Can't say I recall your older username, but my time at Roleplaygateway was always a bit peculiar with coming and going, so I may have missed you. I have a bit of a mixed history with that old haunt, but even then, it was a period of my life with much fondness and I too understand feeling "some sort of way" at how its looking like it's really done for good. @Patcharoo goes by the same name here, but thanks to drop-bear training, his lurking is unmatched.

Appreciate it, BookKnight, thank you for the information.

I've liked a lot of different stories, and I think it makes more sense if I offer a small sampling of media that I keep bookmarked/saved as maybe that can give you a better sense than broad genre labels. I promise I'm not trying to duck the question.
