I find music helps my muse flow better. I listen to/like/love lots of different types of music and some of my characters just come across better with certain types of music. I am curious who else has a playlist or certain type of music they listen to all the time or just when writing for certain characters. For example, I have an entire playlist I listen to while working on my novel I am trying to write, I also have a few characters that I write better when I am listening to classic rock or country.

Though recently a friend introduced me to a K-Pop group, and I am kind of hooked on them and have a playlist I created with some of my favorite songs they have out. These are ones I listen to when I am needing to get into a good mood. I may not speak the language or understand all the lyrics without the English subs on, but they have a good beat and make me smile. I've listened to them and read the lyrics so many times that I know the English words and can sing along with it, somewhat. There are 8 members of this group and one of them has a really deep voice that sends shivers over me, LOL Looks like an angel but sounds like a demon, is how he is described. <3 143 <3
Other bands or genres that inspire me: Aerosmith, Dolly Parton, Classic Rock, Backstreet Boys, NKOTB, Lauren Daigle, and my current obsession I guess you could say, Stray Kids -Maniac, Lalala, Red Lights, Loose My Breath, Youtiful and Case 143 have been my go to songs by them lately.

Please share your go to playlist. I would love to know if I am not the only one that lets music influence my muse.

Hii! So when I'm writing I also tend to listen to different music. I have a playlist for when I'm writing something small, like a short story or something like that. Then I have music based on what general idea the story has. Or based on the characters.

This is my "Furry Playlist" I listen to it when I'm writing anthro based stories.

And this is just my liked songs.

I listen to whatever when I'm writing. Even shows sometimes.

I like The Wall.

Not sure of how to share my playlis, however, my happy jam currently is "Little Omens" by Alfie Jukes.

There's just something about it that makes me want to vibe and do a little dance. My usual taste in music is much more punk or around metal, so this one is defintely a huge exception to my general taste, a good change of pace I think :)

Tricky. I apparently can't seem to link my Spotify account well here, but apparently, I have found I enjoy pop, rock, and softer rock. I'm fond of Vertical Horizon, Blackmore's Night, etc.
