Elliot's words actually seemed to cause a reaction from Emily; her weak heart... It wasn't the first time she had thought about herself that way. After all, while she didn't want to admit it, she was vulnerable, deep down. Her heart, at its core... Had weak spots. Her stone had tried to take advantage of them so many times, but she prevailed each and every time by following her own feelings.
But... How long would her feelings continue to guide her down the right path? How long would it take before her feelings finally lead her astray?
She shook her head a little, deciding for now to focus on what she was doing, turning to Elliot again.
"The easiest way to end this, can't always be the best way." She said, although she paused, seeming a little chilled by what the soldier mentioned.
"Besides. I-..." She was cut short when she realized Elliot wasn't feeling so good.
Taking note that he was about to pass out, she quickly grabbed hold of him... Although she quickly found that outside of using her stone, she wasn't going to be able to carry him for long. Carefully, she set him down in a safer spot in the area for now, before she turned to the soldier, taking in what he said.
No wonder the ship they were on... The Normandy, as he called it was so filled with fear; they were at war. Which meant they must have thought the ships they came here on were with the enemy... The Reapers... Whoever, or whatever they were.
"Who are the Reapers?" She asked, seeming a little relieved the soldier was at least not fighting them anymore.
At the very least, she had to get an idea what the Normandy seemed to be up against, as it might help them understand what lead the Normandy to attack them... And more importantly, what kind of situation they had just ended up in, as they had evidently jumped into yet another Universe somehow...
