Prologue - A call to heroes, a great evil has risen!

In the world of Dragon Ball, everything was in perfect harmony. After the defeat of the notorious Perfect Cell several years ago, everyone went back to their normal lives while Goku unfortunately remained dead due to his noble sacrifice. Everyone started to have their normal lives back. Krillin married Android 18 and had a kid called Marron, and he operates now as a Police Officer with a high reputation for his successes and greatness at the job. Gohan started to have a normal life for once and went to school, meeting Videl and starting to go out with her. Vegeta did his usual thing of training inside of the Capsule Corporation Gravity Chamber with Kid Trunks, while Goten stayed at home with Chi-Chi.

Everything was perfect. Until a year later, where a great evil had risen from the depths of HFIL . . . .

Dende, the new Namekian Guardian of Earth, taken over from Kami who had fused with Piccolo, was on his Lookout feeling out the world, sensing energy. That was, when he detected a incredible surge of energy, one that was easily recognisable. "Mmm!" "What is it, Dende?" "Mr Popo, I sense a incredible power-level on Earth. One that we had assumed was destroyed several years ago. It's Cell... He's returned, stronger than ever." "Then what are we to do? Last time, it was Gohan who had dealt with him, and Goku sacrificed himself for naught." "We have to call everyone to the lookout and inform them of Cell's return... I may have to stretch out to other Universes however... Something tells me that Cell has taken powers beyond that of our world." "Be careful, Dende... You're still new to the job despite several years passing."

Meanwhile in another plain of existence, the Time Nest in Conton City:

"Supreme Kai, Pomada. I've called you here because I found another distortion in History." "What did you discover, Trunks? She's only just come back from dealing with Cell." "He was one tough opponent... I was lucky to survive, like with Frieza..." "Cell is the subject. He's somehow been revived and then taken out of our Universe, then returning a year before Majin Buu's arrival, and restarted his Cell Games. Only this time, he's pulling from power outside of known space in our Universe." "What's the plan?" "Me and Pomada are to go into this scroll and find out why this part of History has occurred, and put an end to it before Cell destroys the Planet." "Understood, Trunks. I'll do my best!"

Back at Dende's Lookout . . . . .

"Have you done it?" "Yes. I made a call to everyone I could, including our friends. A portal somehow appeared just before the entrance to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, the ones we called from outside our world should be arriving any second now..."

In your respective Universes, you were following your usual daily routines, whatever they may be. Everything in your world was how it was supposed to go, until all of a sudden, a portal would appear with an image of a floating platform with a unique structure in the middle, with some trees in front of it. Calling your curiosities, you walked into the Portal and arrived at it's destination, with it closing behind you:

Arriving at the destination, you would discover two people waiting for you; one who wore an unique set of clothing and holding a staff, while the other work some kind of clothing and was entirely black skinned. Just on the edge of the platform was a makeshift TV with an Antenna next to it, fixed on the news channel.

"Thank you for answering my call. Our world is in great danger and we require your help. Our heroes are on the way as well but we need assistance from outside our world. It will be some time before our Z Warriors arrive so please if you have any questions or need some time to take this in, please do."

"Oh, come on, I was just about to beat Astolfo in Sumo Slammers!"

Ben Tennyson looked about his new surroundings, wondering where he was before his Omnitrix started to react.

Uncatalogged DNA detected. Uncatalogged DNA detected.

"And my early participation prize is a new alien apparently. Better be worth it."

This place seemed rather strange. First he was at home playing videogames, and now he was walking through a portal into a floating fortress of some kind. Typical day for Ben Tennyson, to find himself in strange alien lands.

Soon, he appeared before the source of this distortion.

Scan complete.

The DNA source for the new alien as he calls it was a short green man with a slug-like appearance.

"I guess I should say thanks for the new alien, but I think I'd prefer to ask why the heck we're here, or who- or what- you are. And what powers my new alien- I mean- you have. I mean, an average person would be pretty shocked to find himself here with aliens, close encounters and stuff.

Oh, and thanks for the new alien, by the way."

Ben takes a glance at the slug man, feeling that he would be a bit disappointed. Then again, he felt that way to the likes of Pesky Dust & Molestache. He his head turns to the night-hued man beside him, taking a few subtle steps away.

"!" Dende stood in shock as some strange watch on Ben's arm shot a laser towards him. However he felt nothing so he let it proceed and then listened intently to the unknown arrival. "I... I see. What a unusual Earthling... I am a Namekian, the Guardian of Earth. It's a pleasure to meet you, mister...?" Meanwhile Mr Popo had no idea how to respond to Ben backing away from him.

For once nothing special was going on in the Free household. Yet for some reason Big Barda was still wearing her full battle regalia watching TV as she waited for her husband to return with some popcorn. It was movie night and they were going to watch some comedy movie whose name Barda had forgotten.

Or that had been the plan before a giant portal had emerged in their living room. Barda cocked her eyebrow at the image it was showing. It was obvious that it at least wasn't a Boom Tube. "Scott!" She shouted to her husband in the kitchen. "I am going to inspect this mysterious portal that appeared in our living room. Don't wait up for me." As she walked in and the portal disappeared the room was silent for a moment before Scott peaked in with a bowl of popcorn. "...What?"

Especially since it interrupted movie night with my husband." She pointed her Mega Rod towards Dende. "Speak, alien. I don't have time for any of your games."

"Your name is not what's important right now." The former Female Fury spoke to Dende. "Why you have brought us here is a far more important question. Especially since it interrupted movie night with my husband." She pointed her Mega Rod towards Dende. "Speak, alien. I don't have time for any of your games."

"Ah... Ahem. My name is Dende. I am the Guardian of Earth, or at least, this Earth. I've called people from across the fabric of the Universe with the help of the Kai's to gather an amass of Warriors to take on an evil threat that's risen on our world." Dende responded immediately to the woman who shoved her weapon in his face, somehow still composed despite the shock at the start. "Hey, what's going on here?" Came a voice from the distance as another person had arrived to the Platform. Must be one of the Z Warriors that was called by Dende.

Mason's Prologue
Day In, Day Out

A deep sigh filled a single-room apartment. Mason flopped backwards onto an uncomfortable, yet affordable, bed. He closed his eyes and tried his best to fall asleep, but the glow of the afternoon's setting sun peeked in through the window. Mason opened his eyes and lifted his hand to block the sunlight, to no avail. In a last attempt, Mason pulled the covers over his head to escape the light.

Across the room, on a tiny two-foot-wide desk, sat a laptop open to a half-finished memoir titled "Sunrise." The memoir was scattred and incomplete as new memories had been flowing into earlier chapters. At some point, Mason decided to scrap the whole idea. There couldn't be a proper way to write down all of the memories that haunted his dreams.

Sitting next to the laptop was a golden necklace, with a heart-shaped locket as a pendant. It sat there, gathering dust since the last time Mason Moretti had been catapulted across the universe. A small voice called from within, heard only by Mason's mind.

"Mason... Mason..."

Reluctantly, Mason dragged himself out of bed and picked up the necklace. After dusting it off, he quickly put it on, not even bothering to pick up the ends of his long orange locks so they wouldn't get caugh behind the necklace's chain. He replied to the voice with a short, curt, "What?"

A small orb of light appeared from within the necklace. It floated up and met Mason at eye level. The orb of light sprouted two wings and hovered in place. It replied with another question, "What's been going on for the past month or so?"

"Work. It's kept me busy. I decided to take this job more seriously than the last one."

"But are you happy here?"

"Well, of course I'm happy! I'm helping people out here at the UN! I have plenty of friends here as well. Toboe, Cheza, Robin, Corrin, Luna..."

"And what about friends you've left behind in other worlds? Kat, Sans, Neptune, Compa, Ilona..."

"I'm scared, alright? People can die, and I can't just load a save to revive them, myself included. I'm lucky I came back from the Eveline Incident. I got my second chance, and I'm scared to lose it. What of another force just pops up out of nowhere and throws me into another death game?"

"Then you'll behave better! And you'll live! What's the chance you'll die two games in a row?"

"Pretty likely with my attitude."

Suddenly, a portal appeared in front of Mason's door, leading out to a floating platform.

"Well, looks like this time it's giving you a choice. We can let this portal close and stay here, or you can sieze another adventure."

Mason stared at the portal and thought. And thought. And thought. And as he thought, a smile formed on his face. He went to his laptop and composed a quick email.

Robin,
Won't be at work tomorrow. Sudden Convergence event. Only a few seconds left to type. Remember your meeting.

Ben turns to see Big Barda.

"Woah, woah, chill out lady. No need to get too violent with Little Green, I mean, I'm a bit mad that he interrupted my videogame afternoon and I'm not kicking his butt."

When Dende introduced himself, he decided to as well.

"Name's Ben, Ben Tennyson. So... you need us to help you kick butt, huh? I mean, I saw that coming, but you're going to need to be a bit more specific as to whose butt we're gonna kick, or in this case, what he can do."

Ben looked to see Picollo.

"Woah! Another Namekian! I can turn into one of you guys, just a few seconds ago. So, is this like, your home planet? I mean, so far I've only seen two of you and uh..."

Mr Popo.

"... that guy."

A young, petite lass walks through this strange place. A few seconds ago, Kusunoki Asuha was in her school, Shinjugamine Girls School, when she was just called upon here by a strange force.

"What is this strange place? I- it's the Irousu, isn't it... what do they want with me? Are they using me as bait for the seniors?"

When she saw Dende & Picollo, she quickly materialised a naginata-like weapon and charged it at them with a swing.

"B- begone Irousu! Stay away from those people!"

"I definitely want to know what is exactly putting this world in danger, though this place is also curious. Where are we, and how exactly do you get a TV signal up here in the middle of the sky?"

"Yeah, that still doesn't answer my question. Just what is Cell?"

"Cell is an Android created by an evil scientist named Dr. Gero. Several years ago, he achieved his Perfect Form by absorbing Androids 17 and 18, which granted him immense power. We had defeated him only just by Gohan, but it would seem that he has returned."

A young, petite lass walks through this strange place. A few seconds ago, Kusunoki Asuha was in her school, Shinjugamine Girls School, when she was just called upon here by a strange force.

"What is this strange place? I- it's the Irousu, isn't it... what do they want with me? Are they using me as bait for the seniors?"

"It's not that simple. Cell is a extremely powerful adversary. With one flick of his finger, he can easily destroy a planet. Cell has the DNA of the Galaxy's strongest fighters: Vegeta, Goku, Krillin, Gohan, and even me, combined with his own power." Piccolo exclaimed as he then turned to everyone else while keeping control over the young girl.

To test his own aura, Mason held out his hand and a small orb of light appeared. Those who could recognize the feeling of ki, or spirit energy, or anything similar, could sense it coming from Mason. However, there wasn't much ki to be found.

"Wherever Cell is, it cannot be good. However we can't afford to just rush in and attack him. Not without assessing the situation. We cannot afford to take risks with this guy, not while he has incredible power."

Typically the last time he announced, he made his Tournament Debut on Television. The "Cell Games" he called it. He might follow his calling card again."

Prologue - A call to heroes, a great evil has risen!

In the world of Dragon Ball, everything was in perfect harmony. After the defeat of the notorious Perfect Cell several years ago, everyone went back to their normal lives while Goku unfortunately remained dead due to his noble sacrifice. Everyone started to have their normal lives back. Krillin married Android 18 and had a kid called Marron, and he operates now as a Police Officer with a high reputation for his successes and greatness at the job. Gohan started to have a normal life for once and went to school, meeting Videl and starting to go out with her. Vegeta did his usual thing of training inside of the Capsule Corporation Gravity Chamber with Kid Trunks, while Goten stayed at home with Chi-Chi.

Everything was perfect. Until a year later, where a great evil had risen from the depths of HFIL . . . .

Dende, the new Namekian Guardian of Earth, taken over from Kami who had fused with Piccolo, was on his Lookout feeling out the world, sensing energy. That was, when he detected a incredible surge of energy, one that was easily recognisable. "Mmm!" "What is it, Dende?" "Mr Popo, I sense a incredible power-level on Earth. One that we had assumed was destroyed several years ago. It's Cell... He's returned, stronger than ever." "Then what are we to do? Last time, it was Gohan who had dealt with him, and Goku sacrificed himself for naught." "We have to call everyone to the lookout and inform them of Cell's return... I may have to stretch out to other Universes however... Something tells me that Cell has taken powers beyond that of our world." "Be careful, Dende... You're still new to the job despite several years passing."

Meanwhile in another plain of existence, the Time Nest in Conton City:

"Supreme Kai, Pomada. I've called you here because I found another distortion in History." "What did you discover, Trunks? She's only just come back from dealing with Cell." "He was one tough opponent... I was lucky to survive, like with Frieza..." "Cell is the subject. He's somehow been revived and then taken out of our Universe, then returning a year before Majin Buu's arrival, and restarted his Cell Games. Only this time, he's pulling from power outside of known space in our Universe." "What's the plan?" "Me and Pomada are to go into this scroll and find out why this part of History has occurred, and put an end to it before Cell destroys the Planet." "Understood, Trunks. I'll do my best!"

Back at Dende's Lookout . . . . .

"Have you done it?" "Yes. I made a call to everyone I could, including our friends. A portal somehow appeared just before the entrance to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, the ones we called from outside our world should be arriving any second now..."

In your respective Universes, you were following your usual daily routines, whatever they may be. Everything in your world was how it was supposed to go, until all of a sudden, a portal would appear with an image of a floating platform with a unique structure in the middle, with some trees in front of it. Calling your curiosities, you walked into the Portal and arrived at it's destination, with it closing behind you:

Arriving at the destination, you would discover two people waiting for you; one who wore an unique set of clothing and holding a staff, while the other work some kind of clothing and was entirely black skinned. Just on the edge of the platform was a makeshift TV with an Antenna next to it, fixed on the news channel.

"Thank you for answering my call. Our world is in great danger and we require your help. Our heroes are on the way as well but we need assistance from outside our world. It will be some time before our Z Warriors arrive so please if you have any questions or need some time to take this in, please do."

"Mason, was it? How would you like to be the first guy to have a taste of my latest alien - uhhh.... astro... astro... snail... gastropod, was it? Hmmm.... maybe a play on the word 'mollusc', no, can't think of anything..."

Ben thinks for a bit.

"... AstroPod! Yeah, let's go with that. Wait, we don't have access to a training facility."

"I don't see any of my seniors here, and I really don't think they'd come through the portal... would they?" Asuha feels a bit saddened as she responds to Mason. "There's just so many people here and none of them my seniors. I'm here to fight a great evil, but I'm actually the weakest of the Hoshimori... I don't know why I was summoned here instead of them. They're strong, coordinated, and I'm just a greenhorn to the trade."
