Inspired by mobile game; Dragon Raja

Long ago, all the creatures of the world were once enslaved by a fearsome clan called Dragon Raja; power lust seeking individuals who were blinded and overcome with power given to them by their ultimate ruler, the Dark King whom covered him his appearance with a dark cloak, hiding to what was rumored to be hideously disfigured face. For centuries he had dominated the world far and wide, making life for mankind beyond miserable. To overthrow his domination, humans built a united front and fought against evil existence, but ultimately destroyed any rebellion thrown his way and the Dragon Raja Clan.
In order to have the upper hand against the Dark King and his underlings, some humans tried to drink the Blood of the original Dragons. The process was extremely painful and only the strongest ones could survive. The survivors that managed to survive the process and gain the power of the elemental powers of the Dragons were than called Hybrids. Their task from there on, was to slay the Dragons that were controlled by the Dark King and the clan.
After many years of bloodied battles, the humans finally manged to defeat the Dark King and put all of the Dragons into a deep slumber. According legend however, there will be a day that the Dragon Raja will eventually awake and try to dominate the world once again. To stop the awakening of the evil forces, young and talented Hybrids are gathered from their respected homes and into a place called Cassell College. An academy that equips these individuals with Hi-Tech and special training to control their newfound abilities, generation after generation. The fate of the Dragon Slayers has been passed on in their bloodline, and history appears to repeat itself.

Together with other Hybrids, it's time to start your own eventful journey of a Dragon Slayer.

The world of Return of the Dark King takes place in a fictional universe of everyday planet earth, during the year of 2032, the world is separated into districts due to the rise of Clans and powerful empires around the world, an example being Cassell College is a main ambassadorship for the USA, while there are different disticts, such as the Alaskan District, Japanese District and so forth. The reasoning for the mentioning of the districts is due to the fact that some of the students that attend Cassell College are ambassadors for their respective district.

Our story mainly takes place around the areas of Cassell College and The Tokyo District, which will be later explained throughout the party's tasks.

Throughout your journey as Dragon Slayer and student at Cassell College, you will be assigned missions and tasks to rid of monsters of varies and types, all vary from sizes and powers, and levels of wild. Most commonly seen foes will be that of Death Servitors, they are mutated corrupted humans whom had tried drinking that of a dragon blood and or were a corrupted Hybrid that depended too much on their powers and converted into mindless, hideous demons and destroy anything and anyone in their path.

Another enemy to be seen is that of what has remains of the Dark King's Dragon Raja, they can be spotted out by their masks and Dragon humanoid characteristics when battled with.

As mentioned earlier, young Hybrids of this era are gifted and have inherited that of the abilities of those of their ancestors whom had consumed the blood of the Dragons, and with that power they have been gifted incredible elemental gifts that have manifested that of the dragon such as, water, earth, fire, and air. With these elements come a variety of ways they can be used or handled, however there is a risk to those who have inherited their ancestors ability to become Dragon Slayers... anytime a Hybrid loses control of their abilities, they risk becoming a Death Servitor, and therefor the College and it's students are ordered to eliminate the corrupted Hybrid before they fully lose control.
Students are trained to use their abilities carefully and only use them in dire situations, and are aware of the outcome of what they choose to do.

As a Hybrid student at Cassell College, each student is given a rank depending on how well they can control their abilities and how they handle tasks given to them, and as well as their ability to complete tasks as team. The ranks are S, A, B, C, D, E, F. S being the top student at the college which is a rare rank to see now a days for those students usually become death servitors before graduation. and the lowest rank is F, they are usually given to students who first come to the college until further evaluation of their skills and team abilities.

For those of us not too familiar with Dragon Raja and/or trying to feel out the power and magic of the world, what are you looking for in Hybrid Ability. Are they set strictly to the classical elements of water, earth, fire, and air? Or is there flexibility for strange ones such as hallucinations or incredibly limited immortality. (The latter example being limited in that you are a completely ordinary human being otherwise. You "die" and then wake up days, weeks, months later in a new, fresh body.)

Appearance ;
Uta stand at 5' 11'' with a slender build, a trait he greatly appreciates due to relying on his agility and speed over brute strength. Has white hair that could be compared that of snow that is usually pulled back into a ponytail, as well as a rather pale complexion that is complimented with rosy cheeks, and icy blue eyes.
Coming from the Japanese/Tokyo district, he is usually seen wearing a sleeveless top with black pants that are similar to those of samurai would wear, and white cloak which he never leaves without. Along with his cloak, is a tiny clear wind chime bell.

Personality ;
Uta can be described as a gentle soul who shows his friendship and affection towards others with actions rather than words. He is a child at heart and is fairly innocent to match. Has more patience than most his age would have and can be easily entertained, he is wiser than his years and can show great loyalty to those he trusts.

Background ;
Uta had a rather wonderful childhood growing up, he was the youngest of his five other siblings and had a great family who loved and cared for him. Being the baby of his clan back in the Tokyo District, he was very much sheltered from the hatred of the world of being a young Hybrid and was completely clueless to what was going on in the world around him. By the time he reached the age of sixteen, he had discovered his first tragedy, his father, much like his ancestors before him, was called to help on a mission to defeat a wild death servitor in his home town, however, even though there wasn't a thought of his father ever being defeated, his father was killed putting the monster away and defeating it.

Without a father figure around, Uta began to become reserved and hateful to the world he had been so sheltered to for so long. He finally decided he would put an end to evil beings such as his father did, so no one else would have to hidden away and sheltered to the inevitable.

Hybrid Ability ;
Uta's ability branches from the water element. He has the ability to control the water and freeze everything around him, there is different levels to this ability and can be easily taken advantage of emotionally.
He cannot feel the coldness of his ability or that of the cold at all.

Weapon of Choice ;
Because he depends on stealth and his build more than anything, he was given a small short sword which he can use in close combat.

Other ;
Uta is mute, another reason his family sheltered him for the worry he wouldn't be able to communicate with those around him. He usually carries around a notebook with and can sign to people if they understand it.
Can whistle and make animal sounds.
The bell he wears on his cloak jingles when he walks; similar to a cat.
Likes to collect bells and has a unique interest in wind chimes.

It is flexible, there can be different variations, for I should have explained better, since the old times and to this current time period, the Hybrids have adapted and can range differently and don't have to be strictly connected to an elemental power.
I want it to be something that you see more compatible and realistic with the character you are creating and are not trying to out do the other, if that makes any sense? I hope I answered your question.. >.<

Appearance ;
Miiko stands at short 5'3'' and has been this height since fourteen. She has dark red hair long that it would almost reach her calves, a common tradition in her family of not cutting their hair until they are married, in her hair is a water lily pin. She has a fair complexion matched with golden irises that she inherited from her mother. She has lean, but curvy shape that she hides behind her red and sakura patterned kimono..

Personality ;
Miiko is soft spoken girl who does as she as told without a fight. Has a motherly aura to her and has the tendency to want to protect those she deems "cute & precious" or those that remind her of her younger siblings back home; Uta being one of those "victims" to her motherly personality.

Although soft-spoken and well mannered, Miiko can lose her temper and lose her composure if rubbed the wrong way, and won't be afraid to give you a piece of her mind. But depending on the severity of what you have done, she usually apologies in the end to avoid conflict totally.

Background ;
Miiko Isuri came from the streets of the Tokyo district itself. Her family had traded her in to work as a comfort woman in a luxury hotel for travelers in the darker streets of the district. It was one night during her work did she encounter a rather abusive customer that was rumored to be very demanding of his girls and has caused many "accidents" with the girls, but due to the amount of money he brought the hotel, he was never denied service. Miiko was next on his list of girls to have, however he had crossed the line and struck the girl and before anyone knew it. A burst of flames had exploded the hotel floor they were on, and Miiko Isuri and the man were no where to find.

Weeks later, Miiko had found herself waking up in a small room, it was that of Cassell College. News of her Hybrid abilities awakening had brought other fellow Hybrids to her aid and took her away from the scene.

Now she begins a new life as a dragon slayer, with ability she still has yet to understand.

Hybrid Ability ;
Miiko's ability is still fairly new to her, but so far it is known to be controlled by her emotions when in stress. Fire Elemental?

Weapon of Choice ;
Her weapon of choice are small daggers that she can throw from distances and blow darts she can use to stun her foes.

Other ;
Dislikes being touched by men.
Tends to close herself off to those she meets.
Slowly learning sign to better communicate with Uta, whom she accidentally mistook for a female.

Personality: Coeur may seem aloof, distant, and perhaps mysterious. But he's an analytical, observer who prefers reality over fiction. He sees emotion as a weakness and favors those who look at the key facts and logic at face value. He has little tolerance of indecisive individuals and debaters over theories that have no end goal. Coeur's patience is always tested by those who are lazy, dishonest, and have no obligations in life - he sees them as a liability, the one limb that needs to be cut so he can get on with his own goals. That being said, he's also dependable to get something done, no matter the personal cost. Though he sees relying on others as another weakness.

He prefers to work alone but can work with others once the hierarchy is set, that way he can set and achieve his own end goal without distraction—no one else to worry about is a plus for him. Coeur's sense of personal integrity is a core value for him. He will always tell the truth despite the consequences. His blunt and logical approach may leave a false impression that he's incapable of feeling emotion or is even human at all. In fact, that's one perception that will deeply cut through his facade. Although, he thinks he needs to always have tireless dedication to work that falls on his lap, making him a scapegoat for others to put the slack of work on him, if he's not careful with whom he surrounds himself with.

Coeur craves stability and security despite how hypocritical that would be, seeing as he's a hybrid—not by choice. He's a man of few opinions, preferring the facts to do the talking. Which is why he must learn to take care of himself as his dedication for security and efficiency can put a strain on his emotions, almost being too late to say what he wanted in the past. Despite being blunt, it's a brash fact that he's insensitive to those he may judge upon. Coeur is play-by-the-book kind of worker, those who aren't following set rules and set goals he sees as a nuisance. He can blame himself, even if it's not his fault, if something goes wrong, it's best to leave him to his devices if he does get a bit...distant.


Background:
Coeur Renaud comes from a distinct background of hybrids tied into his bloodline. Whom his biological parents are has never come to light, but it's been made apparent at an early age that he was the by-product of hybrids. He's never known what a childhood was, as he was sent to a facility in Alaska, USA to accommodate hybrids, such as himself. A group of scientists were station at the said facility to help learn more and with about the hybrids, most likely to forge another branch of underground military to aid USA in whatever shady endeavors they had set for the hybrids. Coeur was given basic education about the world, the different districts, and more importantly, the history of The Dark King. He was groomed to be an assassin from a young age, that might explain his emotionless state.

The Facility continued to flourish, and the studies done on the hybrids were sent back to the government. However, when Coeur turned twenty-one, one of the hybrids, without constraint to their abilities and an unquenchable thirst for power had gone out of control; turning into a Death Servitor. Renaud did his best to help fight against the Death Servitor, but it was too late as half of the hybrids were slaughtered and the other half were killed by fighting the Servitor. Despite his best ability to help the others, he couldn't in the end and that would fuel his own emotion into overdrive—which would activate his own ability to control the air and anything that fell in motion in it. With the ability to control air, he used it, overpowering his own control on it and unleashed fury onto the Death Servitor, ending its life.

On the brink of death, Coeur was found by other hybrids that had come from Cassell College. The Hybrids brought him back to Cassell College, where he would learn that he was the only remaining survivor at the facility where he was raised. And that he wasn't the only one burdened by being a hybrid—for that fact, he is grateful.


Hybrid Ability:
Control Air—In the rare occasion, Coeur used it to it's full extent back at the Alaskan Facility where he was stationed. Presently, he has much, yet, to learn about it and how not to deplete his energy so quickly.


Weapon of Choice:
Shape-shifting weapon. Because of his training into becoming an assassin since young age, his weapon is able to change at will with what he wishes. He relies heavily on ranged attacks and dodging. When his weapon is not there, he uses small daggers hidden deep in his waist sash that's tied around his waist at all times.


Other:

• Coeur wears a mask at all times, to hide away his feminine and beautiful face. Make no mistake, he doesn't dislike his face but he prefers to be "intimidating."
• He has an accent that's indistinguishable and has to speak more clearly to those who aren't used to it.
• Coeur likes coffee and has idols; he collects figurines of his favorite idols and photo books.
• He likes reading, drawing, and cleaning. His dorm room is, perhaps, too clean as not even a speck of dust is seen.

Appearance ;
Eyes white as cream and vague as morning mist that flit with seemingly random concern. In fact, it would be far more accurate that dread plagues upon them, never fully meeting anyone's eye. Often, though incorrectly, assumed that it is on account of blindness that her eyes wander. Meltris stands as slender as a willow, though only a tenth, 5'3'', of most their heights. Muscles as strong as iron wire and just as tense. Skin fresh as snow, and just as pale. Ebony hair cascades in an untamed rat's nest to her shoulders save for the rare times that someone, who she either tolerates or trusts, tames it into soft curls, styled with a dark green scrunchie. Meltris favors long dresses and blouses that hide as much of her body as possible. Only thin fingers that spindle around a plain, brown notebook are visible along with her face. No blush nor lipstick nor liner add makeup to her face, though shadows hug her eyes. Slumped, head-down, she skitters about the halls from class to class.

Personality ;
Report from Meltris's Guardian:
As expected, Meltris suffers from acute PTSD. Given the horrors of the facility, this is unsurprising. At the best, this manifests itself as a severe aversion to people. Not that she doesn't interact with people. Quite the opposite, in fact. No, her aversion takes the form of fear of reprisal. To explain, anyone who asks a question of her, will receive an honest answer. If asked to do a task, she will carry it out to the best of her ability. However, dread wracks about in Meltris's eyes and it is clear that she responds to these requests out of a fear of reprisal, rather than anything else. Night terrors constantly plague her, despite medication, and she rarely gets a full night's rest. She is also terrified of open spaces, though why I cannot say. Nothing in the profile we have compiled about her suggests this is the case yet, whenever she is outside, Meltris seeks trees, the edges of buildings, or anything that she can take some for of cover behind. Perhaps a more ludicrous possibility is that Metris is afraid of the light. An almost outrageous notion, but it nags at me. I hesitate to, effectively, experiment on the matter lest we trigger an episode.

At the worst of times. Meltris is shrunken into a corner, muttering and whimpering in the throws of a panic attack. Scratching at herself to the point of drawing blood and insisting that there are injuries where their are none. Reality falls away from her and, while she doesn't trust me nor her surroundings anyway, insists that she is back in the Norwegian facility

When left alone, and believes herself to be alone, Meltris takes to reading, writing, and, in rare cases, softly singing to herself. It is in these times that becomes closest to smiling.

I continue to put forward that Meltris is not ready for missions and that none should be given to her until her mental state stabilizes. She is far more a danger to herself, any team she's placed on, and any civilian population in the area. This is in spite of her obvious military training which, thank heavens, was never completed. I fear still that she may one day develop into a weapon. I've seen the tapes that survived and have no desire to push her, even with the growing shadows of these times. Given all this in mind, I am in agreement that Meltris should start to attend Cassell College in the hopes that she will make friends to truly bind herself to reality while learning to control her powers.

I will not lie, however, Meltris's condition is severe. Should counseling prove to be ineffective and her condition not improve, the danger of her falling to become a Death Servitor or losing her own life remains an inevitable.

An excerpt from Meltris's diary, which she carries everywhere with her:
Dear diary,

I awaken once again and it seems that this dream is not at an end. I say dream for what else it could it be? My guardian assures me that, no, this nice bed, room with a desk, closet with clothes, and a table laden with such a variety of food that goes beyond my ken are real! The nightmares remind me of the truth. They remind me of the needles, of blood, the burning light! I'm supposed to write things down. My handler, I can't say their name it's too...close, my handler wants me to write these down. Ground me in this dream. Remind myself that took me from the facility. That I'm no longer in Norway. I came from there, diary dear. Cold, frozen mountains when I got to look out one of the rare windows. Apparently, people need windows to see outside or they'll go crazy underground. I don't understand that. Not really. The dark was always better. There it was all tests, needs, experiments, and training. All at once. Long days stretching on and on through my life. Did I have a life before the needles? I don't...I can't remember. It doesn't matter. Not now. Not before the alleged raid, nor after it as well. My handler insists that I'm free from there. I don't believe it. This is merely the next step. Going to school tomorrow is just the next part of my training. I will continue to please. I will do everything I can to show them that I'm ready. I see the fellow subjects who survived. Few, and in a separate facility from my room. My handler shows them to me to claim their safety. But I don't stay too long. They remind me of the needles. I will pass this new test. I will become a great soldier! I just need the chance! They can complete the augmentation! I'll be good! I'll be ready! I just need a chance. Diary, dear diary, I must sleep now. Be ready for school, for this college. They'll be pleased! And I won't be...won't be... Goodnight, diary. Goodnight.

Hybrid Ability ;
An report on Meltris from REDACTED:
"I don't see the world, anymore. Blind, so to speak. At least, in the manner you would call, 'seeing.' How do I explain. It's like a haze. The world shimmers as if baked by the midday sun in the short summer of home. All is waking shadows. Scurrying up and down the halls. Shifting in endless myriads of almosts, could bes, until a single reality. A finite junction that seems to seek on. Seek on and on and on andonandon until a final snap! Thread of fate severed in a sharp scream of light that blasts away a shadowed existence! Leaving a mere husk of empty glass that's already fragmenting away in final flakes until nothing remains save a singular stench that marks the last smear of their existence befor it too fades! Servitors? Dragons and parts? Dead is glass. All dead is glass. Alive? No. Don't ask me that. I said don't ask me that! I won't answer! No! Don't ask me what their light looks like!"

Subject 0037 displays continual resistance when discussing her hybrid ability. However discussion has revealed that subject likely sees future possibilities. Beyond the split-instant that she passively sees, working to see further rapidly tires out the subject. For now. Subject 0037, under proper duress, can also produce personal alternatives to act in conjunction with action of her body. These take the form almost solidified shadow. The subject sees it as reverse, and cannot distinguish between her actualized body or real body when doing this. As if, to the subject, they are equally real. And just as burning bright.

Weapon of Choice ;
An excerpt from one of the few tapes recovered from REDACTED:
"I assure you, Subject 0037, Meltris, needs no weapon. She will be a perfect, a pure, combat caster. The results speak for themselves. Shadows of guns, blades, herself, and other weapons stream from her power."
"What of the subject's pysche, doctor?"
"A small matter. The progress 0037 is making is only slightly behind schedule. It will break into a weapon in due course."
"There is then the issue of stamina."
"Yes, sir. I was hoping to discuss that with you. It is my belief that, given proper cybernetics, Subject 0037's mental capacity will be expanded and her power will be more easily coaxed into existence. Again, I assure you, the basics are there, all that is left is refinement."
"Very well, proceed with the initial..."
