Azura nodded in understanding to Riesbyfe, as the woman spoke. She would leave it at that and continue what she was doing.

"If you really wish to know, I can give a simple summary of what I am like," Azura replied to Alice in a blunt manner with a slight shrug. Deep down she usually didn't like sharing details about herself so openly, but it's not like they were asking for the whole story of her life or anything.

"I am a songstress of Nohr, a kingdom where I come from, and I was helping my dear sister relax after spending so much time fighting in a war going on with the neighboring kingdom. I don't really like talking about myself, so this may be brief and not exactly what you may have been trying to get from me. Anyway, I was...performing shortly before waking up here. I'm usually just singing and dancing most of the time, I can fight, to a degree." Azura said in response, not really wanting to say much more. Though she didn't think it important to say much more about herself.

Azura gave Road and blank unimpressed look, not necessarily responding but keeping the girl's words in mind.

"Hey....hey, it's alright," Azura replied to Zerberus. Maybe this young man had a fear of girls? Thinking about what to do, she decided to do what she did best.

"You are the ocean's grey waves, destined to seek, life beyond the shore just out of reach.
Yet the waters ever change, flowing like time.
The path is yours to climb....
"

She would sing softly, hoping that singing a little of her song would put Zeberus at ease somehow, at least for the moment. Plus, if he was scared of girls, or just nervous maybe she could help him overcome that so he wouldn't go bumping into anyone else and get himself hurt or something.

"Another lovely song...?" For a moment, Joshua questioned the timing of Azura's song before simply settling in to enjoy it for what it was. it seemed the young woman wasn't lying when she called herself a songstress, her melody beautiful and from what he could guess, the lyrics were perfect for them. He wondered who the lyrics were meant for, the words carrying a message just for them. Perhaps it was a prophecy given musical form?

"Quite the wonderful piece, Azura... Though where did you learn it? It sounds as if you might have written it for someone special..."

"A nice guy... ? Yeah... I guess I am... T-Thanks..."

Blake wasn't sure on how to respond to that to Senna, given that he was freaking out on how people would think of him if he said more about his problems. Well, at least it was dwindling down now, the vigilante putting himself at ease...

tumblr_inline_ng0i8ruJgE1shpc29.png

"Well, I feel suddenly better compared to earlier, this is a pleasant tune. Thank you... uh, I don't believe I caught your name yet."

Blake smiles as he gives his answer to Lucio, and then realizing that he hasn't gotten his name yet... He sounded not so nervous like before.

Even though Lucio was certainly brave enough to stand on his own, a part of him felt more secure as Clark emerged from the crowd, siding with him and Joshua. Something about the name "Clark Kent" and his...figure, he gave off a heroic aura that inspired Lucio. Not unlike the feeling you'd get when you watch the newsreels about Overwatch when they were in their prime.

They had a nice "peacekeeper" group building here.

...peacekeeper.

Kind of ironic for Lucio, considering where he'd just came from. His smile dimmed just slightly as he was reminded of the situation he had carrying on his back. But, Lucio is nothing if not true to his words. A moment of clarity passed, and Lucio simply shook his head and smiled back at Joshua and Clark.

"Makin' friends with strangers ain't that hard, huh?"

Before he could get wishy-washy, Lucio noted Joshua's...interaction with Azura.

And pretty much every girl in this box.

"Keepin' it subtle, man."

Clark smirked, chuckling as he nodded to Lucio.

"He's subtle alright, like a hammer."
"Just a ribbon? Are you certain that's all you want from him?" Joshua hummed with a cat-like smile, almost seeming to lean in to put more pressure on her, "Most lovely young ladies that I've met only blush like you are when talking about someone very special to them..."

At her comment about only having a single friend, the mercenary's smile returned to its normal state of casual friendliness, "Well, I believe you can add me as well to that list... though there's nothing wrong with having no home. I've been wandering the last few years of my life as a swordsman, and I have to say, it's quite a comfortable lifestyle. See the world, get to meet interesting folks like you all."

"Please, I have no hint of what you're implying, Lucio,"
Joshua coolly replied, no longer sounding as playful as he did before. In fact, it almost sounded like the insinuation had stung him a bit, "If a young woman refuses me? Then I will leave them be. I might be sad for a little bit, but there's always another time, correct?"

"And it's confident and reliable, my friend, not desperation. I'm quite the dedicated person,"
Then he was back to playful insinuations. A little strange how quickly he was flipping between the emotions with such control.

"I see that you're dedicated to something. It's like what my friend Pete told me once, If you keeping swinging at the ball, you're going to get a hint evidently."

Riesbyfe06.png

"... Hooh? An interesting name to go by."

Inconceivable.

That was the first thought that had crossed Riesbyfe's mind. She had her deep suspicions already that he was, dare she say, a vampire, given the signs, but... to claim, and so casually at that, to be Alucard, as in the son of the myth himself, Dracula, was something that the female knight couldn't have predicted. Of course, while she had come across a great many vampires in her line of work, Dracula himself was but a myth. At least, as far as she and the Holy Church were concerned.

"I am Riesbyfe Stridberg. A Holy Knight of the Church, and a hunter of creatures of the dark, children of the night, whether they be vampires, demons, ghouls, or others."

All that in mind... Then, there were two theories feasible to Riesbyfe. One, "Alucard" was but an alias, perhaps adopted by this individual who admired the myth in some way. Two, this truly was the Alucard of myth that she'd stumbled upon, perhaps explaining his reflection being cast in the glass unlike a normal vampire, and by extension, she had just made a rather significant discovery for the Church. Either way, one conclusion was constant.

"And for an inhuman creature like yourself, you come off rather benign, don't you? Quite devious, but then... Perhaps those kinds of vampires exist somewhere. That is before they sink their teeth into their victims to draw out blood."

Riesbyfe15.png

"... Huh?"

However, before Riesbyfe could finish speaking to Alucard, she was interrupted by a rather ominous figure, coming off as possibly a bit more hostile towards Riesbyfe than she had been towards the dhampir. It seemed that back then, Ries had spoken too soon when coming to believe that everything would go swimmingly well enough for as long as the objective of getting out of this place was what remained in focus... but then again, perhaps she shouldn't be talking at all.

In either case, it was quite clear that this person, whoever she was, had some sort of strange grudge against her, if only for the garb she wore. Just as Holy Knights weren't often revered openly, as far as she was used to, they also weren't used to being scorned either. They were always seen as little more than keepers of the peace. Sometimes, their methods clashed with what others had believed to be the most effective, but even so, what could have happened for this person to develop this sort of grudge, the silver-haired woman had to wonder...

She took a somewhat uncomfortable, yet wary, step back when Road got close to her, maintaining a stern look.

"I know not of who has wronged you in your past, but as a Holy Knight, it is my duty to slay the unholy, wicked creatures of the night, not only in the name of God but to protect the safety of the good people who would be tormented by such monsters," she said, attempting to remain civil, "And as such, the wicked are all I have quarreled with. By extension, you best hope that you are not wicked yourself as well."

And then... Faster than she realized, quite a grouping had amassed. If people had seen the manner Road had approached Riesbyfe, they would have likely also seen her own approach towards Alucard, but that seemed to matter little to them at the moment.

Raising up a hand, Riesbyfe interjected herself back into the exchange. "Sir Joshua, Kent, Miss Azura, and oddly dressed man of color... While I appreciate the gesture, this girl's quarrel seems to be with just me, and I am more than willing and capable of dealing with this matter by myself," she spoke, lowering her arm with that, "I am a knight, after all. Not a damsel."

With that, tentatively hypothesizing that whatever situation that would have risen was defused if not postponed, Riesbyfe turned her attention to the other individual who had partaken in the ordeal. Nashetania.

"So then... Speaking of creatures, what are you? You don't look very human to me, and those ears... A rabbit familiar? I mean, I've seen horse familiars so perhaps it's not unheard of..." Riesbyfe cleared her throat, "Where is your master? Given how tall you are, surely you must have a high output of magical energy..."

"... And how well endowed you are."
L20GpFH.jpg

'My, oh, my.'

Road mused, internally.

Wasn't this bunch eager to intervene? That couldn't have gone better if Road had sat back and actually thought out an orchestrated way to try and get everyone to show their colors. There were three hands of cards here, it seemed - as Tyki would've put it. In one, you had the either smart or the 'lawful good'. Those who didn't want there to be conflict within the ranks of the ones on this side of the glass either because they were a self-righteous white-knight like the buff, country-bumpkin or because they didn't want to be divided if the ones on the other side suddenly said they were all to kill each other. In another, you had the neutral - the ones who, although as perturbed as the rest had seemingly no intention of either intervening in conflict or worrying about the situation. They seemed more content in either keeping their distance and observing or forming alliances as soon as possible. Who could blame them for that?

Then there were her people. The ones facade-ing about to either test the waters or amuse themselves. To that note, her eyes shifted from this 'Joshua' character. The first to have jumped in to protect thy noble lady - Road managed to even think in an arrogant tone.

Then... the... DJ? This... character. 'Lucio', she'd overheard him be called. His righteousness seemed more gagging than the country bumpkin.

More, and more, people appeared. Some seeming to have an idea of the multiverse, and what might be going on, but the majority, in an utter stopper. One that caught her attention was... the old man. This... 'Chancellor'. This... Sheev Palpatine. Road could feel his malevolence from across the room, however, his act was well played and almost genuine. Had her forty-five years of life not been played around a monster of the literal suffering of mortals, she might not even have noticed. When the oil lit, she wanted to be on his side. She could already tell.

"All Holy Knights are the same. It doesn't matter if they come from one reality or another. and, on the note of my... wickedness..." somehow, the grin of the girl widened even further. It seemed that the corners of her mouth might even start bleeding if she kept it up. "I turn the souls of the ones people like you kill and turn them into monsters who pray on the weak... do you think I'm wicked? Will you take my life here?"

Finally, Road leaned away a bit from the Knight - this Riesbyfe - and her grin slowly slid into a quaint smile, as if their exchange had been a passing affair that she'd grown bored of.

"There is something, I believe, the majority of you have yet to understand. Not your fault - ignorance isn't a sin." a strand of the girl's dark blue hair strayed into the range of her brow and, nearly instinctively, blow it back from where it came, "I am personally capable of opening a 'Door' that connects roads between the multiverse. I was pulled here instead of my actual destination. Others were simply yanked from their own reality. It doesn't take a genius to connect the dots-"

Her poisonous gaze now dropped onto this Clark Kent character, and her following words were as laced with venom as his 'please' had been said with kindness.

"If you think a power like that is to observe or catch warm fuzzies, you're only endangering yourself and the ones around you."

Again, the girl chewed on her cheek.

"Not that I give a damn about any of you."

This was not expected. The woman, this so-called demon openly threatened, not just him, but his world. To his first, to his family, and the people he held dear were now in danger. People nearby, Lucio, Ries, Joshua, and others would see a notable turn. He seemed, for the first time, anger. Stay calm, he lightly touched Ries's arm as he moved towards the demo. The two were now eye to eye.

"That's the difference between you and me. You don't care. Me? I care too much."

Leaning closer, Clark made himself clear.

"I'm going to say this once, You are not going to hurt anyone else here. If you do that, you and I have right now. However, if you try and test me, you won't like what happens,"

Alice politely clapped for Azura's performance. "A DJ, a singer, an entertainer...we have quite a few celebrities in here, don't we?" Alice was not one of them, no matter how Santa Destroy ate up ranked battles. She was some sort of freak to those around her, really.

"Taking an interest in people's love lives, Joshua? I've noticed you do it before." It was odd-socializing was becoming...not easy, but less uncomfortable. She was starting to feel like herself again...the old Alice.

Kujou simply tilted her head a little, as though confused. The girl looked like she didn't quite get the joke.

Talking...really is hard...

Kujou turned Twisted Fate's way as she heard him mutter. She'd been trying to understand the other man's joke, to little avail, so she didn't really hear exactly what he said. Leaned against the wall, with his hat down, he didn't look like he was doing too well. Walking up to him, Kujou slipped her hand under his hat and against his forehead, in a manner like taking his temperature.

MQ3Axn8.png

"Are you...feeling okay?"

Twisted Fate wasn't really in the mood for physical contact. He didn't care, though. In fact, he didn't really care about anything anymore. He was disgraced. Losing his cards really got to him. He would always have an ace up his sleeve whenever he was in trouble, but this time he didn't. With no access to his powers, he felt vulnerable and weak.

Despite all of this, he couldn't help but feel charmed by this girl's concern. He grinned lightly and felt his mood improve.

"I'm fine, I just need to wait until I get my cards back. That's all..."

"Hey, Fatey! Didja see this one in the cards?"

He looked towards Jinx. That nickname was getting annoying.

"Hmph. I didn't."

Her comment reminded him of his failure. It was true. He didn't see this coming. The only time he has ever failed to detect danger was back when he tried to steal from Gangplank. Excluding now and then, he would always have a sixth sense of his surroundings, but somehow he was unable to predict his capture.

"They must've found a way to manipulate my destiny."

Azura's song seemed to have had an effect on Zerberus. He began to flashback to a moment in his past.

"Why are you crying, little brother?"

Zerberus stopped moving.....a few tears fell from his eyes. He was sitting near an oak tree in the middle of a field. He then sees a girl standing in front of him...... he was seeing a memory.

"Please don't cry, I know it's hard without her... but she'll always be there for you... in here..."

The girl pointed at her chest where the heart was. The girl then walks close to him and hugs him. Zerberus continues to cry in his memory.

"I'll be there for you for you... I promise... I'll be right beside you where ever you go... because that's what big sisters are for, right?"

The memory faded away. He then used his scarf to wipe away his tears. He felt better now, he got up and smiled. His heart was freed from darkness, for now.

"T-thank you... My n-name is Zerberus."

Cagliostro pouts to that response by William, "Your responses are so dull, you know? Could it be... that you're keeping secrets~"

"Oh!"
Cagliostro responds to Gundam man, "I'm just as lost as you are. In this time, I made some new friends~ teehee~, so I don't feel lonely anymore, but..."

Cagliostro looks at others such as Riesbyfe and Nashetania.

"... maybe they're too busy fighting to be friends with each other..."

Jason shrugged and nodded in agreement with Lucifer. He had been through much worse with Joker after all.

FLASHBACK

Jason was out cold. He didn't know how long he had been in this hellhole. He had lost count at around two weeks. But, of course, Jason still believed that Batman would come and save him.

He was awoken to the sound of footsteps. Upon looking up, he noticed that he was tied up by his wrists by some rope and he was hanging from the ceiling.

"Wakey wakey!" Said an all too familiar voice. Jason immediately looked to his side and saw him...

image

Upon the mere sight of the deranged clown, Jason struggled as best he could to get away. But it was useless. He began to pace around Jason, holding something behind his back. Jason didn't know what it was, but he was almost certain that he wouldn't like it.

"What's wrong? Do you think I'm going to hurt you? Why?" He asked, revealing the item to Jason. A golf club. "I'm not the bad guy here. Oh, no no no no no! It's Batman. He's abandoned you... thrown you out like an unwanted puppy!"

Joker got on his hands and knees and began to, poorly, imitate a little girl begging for something. "Oh, can I have him, daddy? Oh please please please! I'll take real good care of him!" Joker stood up now, imitating a father this time. "Anything to make you happy princess! Just make sure people know he's yours!"

The clown snapped his fingers, causing Jason to drop to the floor. Joker began to approach Jason slowly, grinning widely. "We don't want him coming back here, do we?"

"Oh no, we don't daddy! I wanna keep him forever!"
Joker said, imitating the girl again. Jason attempted to crawl away as best he could, but to no avail, as Joker had broken his leg and his wrists were still tied up.

Jason's voice was muffled when he screamed.

"No! No please! Please no! No!" Jason yelled as loud as he could before Joker ran up to him and began beating him with the golf club.

"Hahahahahaha!"

END OF FLASHBACK

"I swear, as soon as I get outta here I'm gonna kill every last one of these fuckers!"

Cagliostro's rougher voice emerged as she was just behind the Arkham Knight.

"It's hard for me to admit it, but I am taking a liking to your rage and tenacity. Use it well, Arkham Knight. Relieve your stress well among these sharp little bastards for the atonement of their actions towards you and towards me."

When Jason Todd turned around, he would only find Cagliostro speaking in her usual cute voice, with no sign of the prior statements.

Bju3mr7.jpg

"So, you're an Arkham Knight, right? What's it like?"

Attention now fixated on the singing of the fellow blue-haired woman, Miku gave Alice an offhand nod. "Yeah... It seems we aren't very uncommon?" And once Azura finished her small performance, she clapped along with Alice in praise.

B3jMkXN.jpg

"Hey, that's good singing. You have a really nice voice." Well, if they were all trapped in this together, might as well give her fellow singers some credit.

Riesbyfe11.png

"A person...? But you're far more... eh... What's the word... fluffy than a normal person," Riesbyfe noted, holding her chin in thought as she continued to examine the bunny girl from top to bottom. And middle.

The knight registered Nashetania's statement concerning her powers, which certainly sounded magical in nature, but Ries seemed more concerned at the moment with Nashetania's state, as it appeared her vitality had suddenly dropped, practically out of nowhere even.

"H-Hey, are you alright? You don't look so good..." Riesbyfe said with concern in her voice, reaching out her hand to hold the rabbit woman by her shoulder.

Attempting to keep Nashetania steady in the meantime, Alucard's gentle words elicited a lightly surprised reaction from Riesbyfe. Firstly, his civil mien in light of her own tone took her by surprise, and more than that, he claimed to be a vampire who... would ally with the Church? And more than that...

"A creature like yourself sympathetic towards humans? Strange phenomena," Riesbyfe commented. And yet, for whatever reason, the way in which Alucard spoke and what he said seemed to wear away at her preconceived notions about him just a tad, though she attempted to keep her guard up in light of this.

The thought of a "good" vampire wasn't completely unheard of. Most of the True Ancestors generally kept to themselves, except for the truly malicious in nature of course, but they were generally few and far in between, especially nowadays.

"Do forgive me if I remain... apprehensive of your claims. I've heard no such being like yourself ally themselves with the Church unless other branches have been holding out on us..."

Riesbyfe06.png

"... An ominous power indeed. If you are telling this to me so openly, praying on the weak, then I presume that you intend to provoke a skirmish of sorts," Riesbyfe said, Though she is without her weapons, on my honor as Road's talk of this... "multiverse" intrigued her to a degree, but it seemed that before the girl was able to elaborate, Clark felt the need to intervene.

She was ready to repeat her words of denying any sort of help, but whoever Clark was back where he had come from, he was certainly... earnest. A strange new aura exuded from his being, one that surprised even Ries, and gave her pause when he had touched her arm slightly, though she had recovered when Clark subsequently gave the girl a dear warning.

"Sir Kent, as I said, her quarrel is with me. There is no need to interfere, as your business need not be my business if you do not wish it. That said..." She spoke, attempting to stand in front of Clark and look towards Road.

"Earlier, you mentioned a phenomenon... This... multiverse you speak of. What are you attempting to imply? That we all hail from different... planes of existence? Of reality?"

Joshua shrugged at that, still as cheerful as ever, "Of course. That's part of why I left home after all..." He then glanced over to Clark and smirked, "If I'm understanding that metaphor properly... then I switch the target between each swing, my friend."

As Blake's mood brightened, so too did Lucio's (who was already a bit too happy). "Thanks, man! Music is jus' the language I'm most fluent in; the vibes, the rhythms, and the rhymes, all that!"

"Oh, the name's Lucio, by the way! You're...Blake, right?"

Lucio halted his mental processes as Azura suddenly began to sing. Turning around slowly, his default smiling expression faded into one of absolute awe, his eyes widening to the sound of her voice. The voice fell upon Lucios ears like a breeze, even if it was just a little song to cheer up Zerberus. Without warning, Lucio let out thunderous applause.

248981a9512d798fb18792ac492423b0.png

"YOOOOOOOOO!! That was A M A Z I N G, girl!" he shouted, his spirits lifted higher by someone of such vocal talent. As he had said before to Blake, music was a language Lucio understood perfectly. Every sound he heard in his life, he could formulate it into some kind of rhythm or beat. DIssonant words were dull and grey, but whenever he heard something with musical "soul", he could see...colors, and visualize the harmony just by hearing it. These evolved into songs, and those songs evolved into songs with meaning. A simple talent he had, which led him to become a worldwide celebrity.

Upon hearing Alices comment, Lucio got even giddier. "That's true! We gotta make a collab album once we get outta this mess for sure! Cuz, those vocals are like gold, Azura, you gotta show me your work sometime after this! You too, Miku, we could, like, top the charts in days-- nah, in hours. I can't believe I ain't never heard of you guys until now..."

So far, Lucio is convinced this flash of light has lead him to a heaven filled with awesome, talented and heroic people. Nothing bad has come out of this glass box, what's the worse that could happen?

Jason rose a brow when he heard a rather gruff voice emerge from behind him.

"The hell?" He asked aloud before turning around, only to find an innocent-looking girl standing behind him. Jason was normally a dick, but not to little girls.

latest

Jason knelt down in an attempt to get on her level. It was something that Bruce often did to him back when he was a kid. Sure, he may hate Bruce, but he couldn't deny that the man was good at talking to people. Won him over, along with Dick and that new kid.

"Um, hi. Let's just say that it's hard to do, but fun at the same time. Also, I'm one of a kind." He said before reaching out to pat the kid on the back.

Okay, maybe he wasn't as good with kids as he thought he would be.

"Quite the wonderful piece, Azura... Though where did you learn it? It sounds as if you might have written it for someone special..."
"My mother taught it to me when I was young...it is a special song, meant for my sister, Jasmine," she replied. Joshua reminded her a bit of Laslow, in that fact that he seemed rather comfortable around girls, slightly flirting with them and such.

"A DJ, a singer, an entertainer...we have quite a few celebrities in here, don't we?"

Azura felt her cheeks heat up just slightly, not expecting such compliments, even if it wasn't the first time she received such.

"T-thank you... My n-name is Zerberus."

"You're welcome Zeberus, I am Azura. Try not to trip over yourself anymore and be a bit more careful around others, alright?" she said to the other. Her tone sounded almost motherly in tone.

"YOOOOOOOOO!! That was A M A Z I N G, girl!"

"We gotta make a collab album once we get outta this mess for sure! Cuz, those vocals are like gold, Azura, you gotta show me your work sometime after this! You too, Miku, we could, like, top the charts in days-- nah, in hours. I can't believe I ain't never heard of you guys until now..."

Lucio's shout actually startled Azura just a bit, she blinked and looked to him as he complimented her and talked about making a collab...album with another member of the group? She wasn't sure what that is but she chuckled at his enthusiasm.

"Sorry to say, but I have family and friends who need me back home...but maybe one day we could. Though, I don't know what an album is," she responded, deciding to admit that she doesn't really know what Lucio was talking about.

FIERCE-HEART ALI

I furrowed my brows and frowned upon seeing cameras. Not surprisingly, they were confident in their ability to detain us. However, unless they had X-Ray technology installed into them, they wouldn't be able to see through people and I also didn't see any sound amplifiers. They were either hidden or the mad scientists didn't install them.

I took a breath and exhaled. Ok, the amplifiers are an unknown, but the cameras aren't and that's something I can work around. We just have to be really, really soft when I'm talking if we're to maintain the element of surprise, or perhaps we can bullshit our way. Trick them into thinking that we're weakened from this 'transition'.

"Hey, Kujou and, uh, Fatey since I don't know your name, can you lean in so I can tell you something?" I spoke only loud enough for them to hear and they might notice my faster-than-usual breaths in an attempt to get air in and out of my tightened chest. If things go wrong, they'll know what our abilities are and they could plan for them or at least the ones we show.

"That's the difference between you and me. You don't care. Me? I care too much."

Now, this was something to get excited over! The country bumpkin was getting up in arms! Oh, what a temper this one had. Once again, a grin tugged at the girl's features, but she tried to hold this one back and, in lieu, merely stuck her tongue out at the man - the short tip of the spongy pink flesh barely protruding her lips before retreating again. If something happened to this man - if he were to die when all these people started going at it... Road could turn him into a very powerful Akuma. That said... something about him told her not to pick a fight with him. A fight with this man would only give her a lot of pain and a lot of wasted time healing. As far as she knew, she was the only member of the Noah family in this reality. The scientists outside hadn't reacted to her, and the Knight-girl hadn't either. Which made her survival and well-being very important.

"You misinterpret my intent, country bumpkin." the tone she used directly to Clark was much softer than it had been before, though cruelness and provocation were still very present, "Right now. I threatened you - but my threat was not direct. It was..." There was a pause as if the strange girl was carefully choosing her words. Her hands moved behind her back and clasped together, and the small of her back fell against her wrists, somewhat causing her to lean on herself. "For the strong to act as though we should wait endangers those around us." It was clear she was much more civil than she had appeared before the Knight-girl. Or at least she acted like it. "For example, I am not too strong. Fighting you would be... silly. I mean, look how big you are! You can afford to 'see how things pan out', but I... I cannot. If they find a way to make us all fight... say..."

3tMI5rW.jpg

"Threatening your world. Your family... those around you - right now - would be in... quite a bit of danger right? 'Sir Kent'."

Her tone somehow swayed between genuine and malevolent.

"Earlier, you mentioned a phenomenon... This... multiverse you speak of. What are you attempting to imply? That we all hail from different... planes of existence? Of reality?"

To say Road was reluctant to answer this was... a bit of an understatement. The family of Noah had fought the Church for over a thousand years and for her to seem so unwilling to fight with her... it pissed Road off even more. But she folded.

"Well, cupcake, do you recall goth power-rangers from where you come from?" Road gestured towards the 'Arkham Knight' with her entire hand as her arm flung in his general direction and then back behind her, "Or those... things." This time, she merely nodded in the direction of the Pokemon. "I've traveled between alternate realities for a long time, and I've become quite accustomed to it. When I showed up here, I should've just been-" she stopped. The affairs she'd abandoned were not important.

"I am certain they yanked each of us from a different time and reality. They could NOT have misdirected my Door otherwise... They didn't bring us all here... to talk to us."

Road's cheeks suddenly puffed, arms folded in front of her below her chest and she looked away, visibly showing her anger that the Knight had been resilient to her goading. The Kent fellow had been more susceptible, and that was something she was going to keep in mind...

"Do forgive me if I remain... apprehensive of your claims. I've heard no such being like yourself ally themselves with the Church unless other branches have been holding out on us..."

tiK576Y.png

He raised one eyebrow. "No? How peculiar." Alucard appeared to be deep in thought. Members of the Church were definitely aware of him, but they generally left him alone due to his stance against his father. Though they were not of the same species, they were once united through their common goals. Perhaps... "Have you heard of the Belmont family?" Alucard asked. Maybe she belonged to another Church.
