"First of all, filthy bloodsuckers like you-" this was off to a grand start. Road was getting worked up, and forgetting just because where she came from, Vampires were constructs of Akuma, didn't mean that's what they were in other realities. She was letting the spoiled little Daughter of Noah show herself. "-have no right to address a Noah in su-" Now she stopped and lowered her head before her hand rose up to her sinus' and she applied pressure onto them with the tips of her right thumb and forefinger. She needed to remember her place. Now wasn't the time to become worked up over acts of ignorance.

A sigh blew over her lips before she looked back up at the Vampire, a forced attempt at appearing calm upon her features - "Multiverse theory! It's simple! Imagine a tree is your reality, and time is the roots of the tree! Each tree in the forest is a different universe, and some are similar and some are vastly different. These roots may come close to others, but they never intersect. Whatever these people did cause many roots to come together in one spot!" She was lightly shouting now, though, to be fair, explaining it to the best of her ability.

"A power like that isn't acting on, 'let's just see what happens'."
While the information Road was giving was interesting and helpful, Clark was worried, even though he was calm on the outside. Taking a deep breath, he looked at the demon.

"I'm not going to fight anyone, no matter what. You seem like you could help us, yet all you do is antagonize us. You and I don't see eye to eye, and we will come to an understanding, trust me. However right now? As much as I hate it. You and I? We need to work together. For everyone's sake."
Road_Human_Form.jpg

"You say that now, boy, but let's see what happens when whatever force that pulled you here tells you everyone in this room must die, or your precious 'Smallville, Kansas' goes-"
The young girl finished the thought by sticking out her tongue and blowing raspberries in the direction of the larger man before her. "A good man with something to lose is an evil man waiting to wake up-" she'd seen plenty of men like him before. They wanted to do everything, for everyone. A white knight in a billowing cape. Sometimes they stayed true, but then they got attached and lost that attachment.

Bad things happen when good men go mad.

"-and I am not a demon! I am a descendant of the family of Noah! I may control demons, but I am not one... how would you like it, if I called you an alien just because you're a whole two feet taller than me, you freak!"

Another breath finally escaped the girl and she turned towards the glass again. She wanted out. Road had had enough of this. When she first appeared she had hidden in her 'Dream' for a moment, which meant she was not powerless here. Maybe enough time had passed and she could create a 'Door'. The girl's eyes closed, and to those around her, the girl would change. The dark blue hair became A bubblegum color, and her skin tone darkened immensely. The lilac eyes became a bright amber and a horizontal series of crosses appeared across her forehead. For all intent and purposes, she sorta looked like a demon.

The girl's ivory blazer and shirt had been replaced with a white dress that covered merely the bottom of her breasts and hung down past her thighs. around her neck and along her arms traveled a strange, tattered ribbon that covered both arms and a partial area of her neck. The girl rolled her shoulders and a powerful aura suddenly rolled off from her like a wave through the crowd. Space began to crack in front of her until a white doorway, made entirely of light appeared before her - a black macabre outline tracing it.

'Finally...' she muttered, ready to leave this dangerous pit. The black slippered foot of the girl rose from the ground and approached the 'Door' but as fast as it had appeared, it fizzed away again. Road paused for a moment, amber eyes wide in thought before she felt the recoil and blowback of whatever had muted her ability. As if she'd been hit by a boulder, the girl's back arched and an attempt to mute her own cry left her cheeks before her feet left the ground and she was, firmly on her ass. It didn't take long for her hands to travel up, where both palms pressed on the sides of her head. A soft, subtle trail of red blood had begun to stream from both of the petite misses ears and a single nostril. Apart from this, she was going to take a moment to compose herself before standing again, not quite sure what had happened, really.

Eliot was about to reply to the female scientist, but he noticed a man, Lucifer, was speaking to him. Turning, Eliot's face held an expression of surprise.

"Oh, aren't you a cute face," started Eliot as he took a step forward, "but I hope you have more than just your looks..."

That was when the real surprise hit. Penny stood among the endless crowd of people, and Eliot didn't take a second to approach the man. Standing almost close enough for the two to be touching noises, Eliot smiled.

"You're here too?" asked Eliot, before quickly dismissing the thought with a wave. "Never mind that; did you bring me here?"

Lucifer was getting incredibly bored just sitting there. It seemed that the glass cage wasn't going anywhere any time soon. He could address the scientists, but he doubted he would get answers so he decided to do something else. He looked over at the flask that the Arabic man was holding and debating m- oh screw, social norms.

Lucifer wasn't a stranger to being called handsome by a strange man. He was used to being flirted with.

"Oh trust me, I am more than just my looks, but this is a glass cage."

After a brief moment of looking around the room, Lucifer decided to take some action.

ff630d723616b15522fb21500e172ea6.gif

"Want to share that flask?" He asked Penny. He turned to Jason. "A drink could probably calm your nerves."

If he didn't want to share it, well, Lucifer wasn't above stealing the flask if he refused.

Having tired of standing next to a bunch of boring conversationalists, who, thank God he couldn't hear their thoughts, as that would drive him nuts, especially if they were listening to anything by That Which Shall Not Be Named because he hated it. He was about to meander elsewhere when he heard a familiar voice, causing him to turn around.

tumblr_o46j6hgsiT1v5wasbo2_500.gif

"Eliot. If you're here... Then this is definitely not another one of Quentin's dreams... And no, I didn't bring you or myself here... Drink?"

He'd offer the flask, then turn his attention back to the other man.

"Sorry, I don't trust you with my flask"

"It's either necromancy or metaphors," Cagliostro's rough voice resurfaces as she drops her two cents in, "or really, really good stealth-based skills and magic so that the opponent's with really good hearing can't identify you. Your heartbeat is easier to listen to in pure, unadulterated silence, after all."

If they were to look at Cagliostro directly, her cutesy voice returns.

"Oh~ if you were to ask me, I think... he's A-OK and healthy on the outside, but a little close to dead on the inside~, maybe in his heart or soul~. Of course... in terms of how he will be soon... that's a fate we all share... we rise together and go together~, isn't that right, Ouroboros~"

zSM9DKs.png

"..."

Being a stuffed animal that hung to Cagliostro's grip, Ouroboros spoke not a word.

Cagliostro looks over to Penny's bottle and flask. "Oh? Is that what I think it is?"

Jason groaned at Lucifer's request. He really wanted a drink right now, but...

There was a little girl here. And Jason didn't like to drink in front of little girls.

The literal second Blake stepped over to him Jaffar glared right at Blake...

"Touch me and you die..."

Well, he was serious about that.

Well the girl was right about that. Jaffar was indeed dead inside. He had no heart. He knows nothing of joy, sorrow, anger, dread, and so on. He only knows how to kill...

He was surprised that someone like her was talking to him like this, but nevertheless, it did not faze him. She did look strange, like a demon. Though there were no horns on her head, she gave off the aura of something otherworldly, and the strange marks on her forehead that were reminiscent of a crown did her no favors.

"I see. So even though we have similar names for locations, they are not the same place." He nodded at the knight of the Chuch. "Apologies. Perhaps we are not allies after all."

YnjA1aM.png

This girl seemed to know a lot as to what was happening, and from what he overhead earlier, it appeared she did this quite often - or had some sort of ability to move across the 'multiverse', whatever this meant. Alucard was suddenly a little bitter he had not known anything about this before, and he did not remember there were books about this subject. But it was definitely a thing mankind stumbled across often. Too supernatural... the dhampir glanced at the others littered about the containment. Or maybe he was wrong. Most of these people looked like normal men and women. Though they probably housed powers he had never seen before. Now he was curious. But he knew he had to keep his distance. Judging from the knight and the dark-skinned girl's reaction, contempt for vampires remained constant throughout these different... realms.
"-and I am not a demon! I am a descendant of the family of Noah! I may control demons, but I am not one... how would you like it, if I called you an alien just because you're a whole two feet taller than me, you freak!"
MM9JKGh.png

And he was wrong again. Where were these people from, exactly? Their worlds seemed so different from his. She certainly looked like a demon, but she was arguing otherwise. Controlling demons...? His eyes narrowed. Reminded him a lot of his father, who held command over the demons that resided in his domain. The castle was littered with them and was always hostile whenever he returned home - to kill their master. He had a few familiars himself, but they would be useless here if they could not help them break out of their glassy cell.

"... A descendant of Noah? ... The son of Lamech?" Alucard asked, his curiosity hidden well. "Interesting, is that why you have command over demons? That is certainly a power that only those who wield dark magic can possess..."

Eliot's eyes lit up at the sight of Penny's flask; Eliot enjoyed his alcohol, he enjoyed it so much some might even say he's an alcoholic. Grabbing the flask without a moment of hesitation, Eliot downed half the flask before handing it back to Penny.

"So if you didn't bring me here; then how the fuck did I get here?" asked Eliot. Eliot glanced at the man named Lucifer, looking at him in an almost trancelike state. Gesturing the man to join the conversation, Eliot looked back at Penny.

"How did you get here?" he questioned.

"Road. Killing one to save a million isn't a fair trade. Either all life is equal, or none are. You said even a good man can turn evil? A bad man can be redeemed. If you and I took the life of someone "evil", even to save millions of people, we're giving up on that person. I don't give up on people. Even if it might cause issues in the future."

In Clark's eye, the greater good is no excuse. You either protect all life or none. Smirk now, Clark.

"It wouldn't be the first time I'd been called an alien or freak either. However, I apologize if I hurt your feelings."

Miku smiled at Lucio's enthusiasm, though it was rather unsure and sheepish. Probably due to a multitude of reasons, from both being unsure whether or not they'd make it out of there, and because of the technicalities of doing such a thing with such strangers. Still, optimism was what these people seemed to have going on here. "Eh, sure... Lucio? That's your name, right? When we're out of here, we'll all make the best collab together."

... She hoped.

Zerberus suddenly felt like the poem wasn't good enough.....he needed other peoples' opinions. He searched the room for someone that can help him with this problem. He then noticed someone.... a little girl.....he then walks up to the little girl taps on her shoulder.

"Um excuse me M-miss... do you think you can... tell me your opinion on my p-p-poem? If you can, can you n-not read it a-a-aloud? I don't w-want...to be laughed at..."

He was holding it with his right hand out to her.

Setsuna didn't reply to Senna's statement, simply staring at the girl quietly for a long few moments. Not only was there nothing Setsuna had been asked that she needed to answer to, but she just genuinely felt she had nothing to say. What was someone supposed to say to some stranger saying they were proud of them? Well, it was likely Kyoshiro would just have her ignore it.

So naturally, that's what she did. Or, well, she moved on quickly, falling silent once more as she quietly regarded the crowd in the room.

So much for that.

tumblr_inline_ng0i8dXyRM1shpc29.png

"... oh."

Blake just stopped himself once Jaffar said that, and hearing what Cagliostro's words meant, he had some awkward silence settle in before going on to say...

"Wait a minute, that's another way of saying that you wanna spar, right? Then I'm up for that! It's not like my skill is hindered by the lack of a weapon, and it will make due as good practice..."

Penny took the flask back, scowling at Eliot.

"Don't drink it all before we find out if there will be any to replace it with! And I don't know, the last thing I remember was we were drinking at Brakebills, and the next thing I know, I was here. I'm not sure if I'm angry or happy that Quentin isn't here, but I do know this must be all his fault. This better not be a Fillorian Deathtrap..."

He'd put the flask away, and look towards the Devilish Man.

"How about you? How you wind up in this place?"

"Ha! Lux so owes me 30 bucks." Her immediate reply was one of amused triumph, one that soon gave way to a more annoyed grimace. "I know, right? Tell me about it. Big brains think they could just treat us like their playtoys, for their little experimenting or whatever the frick they're trying to do here. Lock ten pounds of crazy in a five-pound box? That'll work sooooooo well." Jinx glared over vaguely in their direction.

"I don't care what First Star thinks about slaughter, they've totally earned it." She growled under her breath.

So naturally, that's what she did. Or, well, she moved on quickly, falling silent once more as she quietly regarded the crowd in the room.

"Don't eyeball me like that, I will kick your butt to the next galaxy over."

FIERCE-HEART ALI

"Why thank you,"
I smiled, "And you seem to rely heavily on cards. Ever occurred to you that you can use words as a weapon?"

I then shook my head. "Sorry, getting off track, but the plan is for me to distract the scientists while you two tell others to see if their powers, magic, or whatever still work. Just make sure you crowd around the person as if you were chatting with them so those cameras," my eyes shifted to one of them, "won't see it, if they do, they'll be able to know some of our abilities. And yes, I know there's a chance they already know, but we gotta take a gamble. If it lands in our favor, we would gain the element of surprise if they decide to pit us against something or an escape opportunity presents itself. Oh, and get the others to spread the word excluding the glass punching crew over there," I

turned my head to the people still punching the walls."If we wield that double-edged sword right, then that lessens the chance of them seeing any of our abilities. Any flaws you see or objections?"
Twisted Fate listened intently, stroking his chin as he began thinking.

"Hmm, that doesn't sound like a bad idea. Wouldn't hurt to try it."

"Oh, I see," Kujou nodded. Hm, he wasn't sick? She silently pondered what else she could do for him in that case. She didn't have any cards on her. Unless her card to call her for tutoring counted. She highly doubted that was what he wanted, though.

Hearing the two start a secret little plan, Kujou listened intently. They spoke confusingly with stuff like jokers, decks, destiny, and the like, but she more or less got the point. They wanted to escape, and she agreed. She did her best to hide it, but wherever they were, it was scary. A ton of people she didn't know and caged like some sort of animal. Likely, the only reason she managed to act so calmly was that she had become so scared it reverted into tranquility. ...Relatively, at least.

aCOeiEo.png

"I don't have your cards...but I'll do my best to help," Kujou affirmed. Glancing over at Twisted Fate, she once again thought about her own card. It probably wasn't what he wanted, and it served no purpose here. But maybe, just maybe...

"Does this help?" she asked, pulling out what looked like a homemade business card. It was very basic in design, featuring just her name, email, landline, and the word "Tutor" was printed above it all.
Twisted Fate's eyes widened and he had a crooked smile on his face. This was exactly what he needed! There was only a mild problem, however. It wasn't one of his cards, so he had to convert it into one that he could use. After that, he might be able to teleport out. He spoke softly so the scientists couldn't hear him.

"Heh, looks like lady luck is here after all. This ain't one of my cards, but that's no problem. It's nothin' a little magic can't fix."

He motioned his hand, signaling Kujou to give it to him. He received the card and turned his body away from the scientists. He attempted to convert the card into one of his own.

Likely, but it was better than nothing."Alright, Kujou, Fate, the stealth part is up to you and I'll keep them distracted. If you have any questions, now is the time to ask."

"Here we go," Cagliostro utters underneath her breath as her eyes temporarily shift towards Blake and Jaffar. "This is going to be fun. A shame I can't partake."

Cagliostro turns back to Zerberus with her usual sweet smile. "Do you reeaally want me to tell you how I feel about it?"

"Hmm...so my guess was correct," Joshua mused aloud while his eyes closed for a minute, recalling his mother and his home of Jehenna. After a moment though, he shook his head and smiled at Azura, "Sorry, was just remembering something from back home. Is your sister okay now?"
"Last I saw of her before ending up here, yes. She was doing fine, taking a moment to enjoy herself for once since war broke out," she replied. She missed the other, as well as the rest of their army. She made sure not to let her face betray her and give off a sad expression. The last thing she'd want is for those scientists to see her so down since waking up in this dumb cell, and she didn't want Joshua to be concerned.
