That's my secret-I never know what I'm doing
In an ancient world known as Morlyn, the nations of the world are moving constructs. Every so often, they meet up, trade, people migrate, and celebrations are held. The constructs consist of:
Silvermead, hom to the Fae. The trees are famous for their delicate silver flowers, which glitter gently in the sunlight, and float to the ground in winter, covering the land like a silver blanket. It specializes in plants and medicine, a pioneer in both. Silvermead is a land painted with all the colours of the rainbow, gentle and brilliant. The fae are the partying type. They hold many festivals, and families enjoy lighting a bonfire at night and dancing around it. Exquisite music drifts from the treetops to the dancers below.
Valden, birthplace of the Humans. The cities are large and mechanical, painted in black and white. There are no soft curves here. The Humans are curious creatures, and their education and technology are known to be the best of the best. They live their lives aided by many machines, and soar among the clouds not with magic, but technology. Humans toil all day, always striving for the best. They have a vision for the future, and will go through hell to see it done.
Corpond, sea of the Selkies and Merpeople. They live in small huts on the land, and gaping caverns underwater. The sea people are lazy and relaxed, spending their day in the water, visiting the brilliant coral reefs that are teeming with life, or floating in a hidden lagoon, head resting on a log, as a waterfall gushes nearby. They rarely do much work, and what little they do is done with magic. Spell books are incredibly common in the stores of Corpond.
Dragontooth, land of the outcasts. Dragontooth is a gloomy land, where citizens practice black magic, and dragons reside far below Morlyn's surface, laying in their piles of gold that have been melted by Morlyn's center, huffing smoke from their nostrils. Those with powers that are out of the ordinary, that do not require spells or incantations, thrive here. Shapeshifters, those with kinetic powers, those with extraordinary strength- they reside here.
For the first time in five centuries, all constructs have come together. Celebrations are held, and people dance in the streets all night. Even those in Dragontooth join the festivities. But late one night, the humans recieve a signal. A fifth construct has arrived. They attempt to make contact, working furiously through day and night, but there is no response. Eventually, a team is assembled to explore the new construct. What they find...could mean death for all.
-~-~-~-~-~-~-
So, you are the team that has to explore the construct. It's either empty or there is no stability, and therefore no one to reply to the humans. You explore the construct for a few days, and what you find is dangerous. (plague? powerful evil being? army that is big and wants to invade? all of them? who knows).
Let me know if you are interested. I'm thinking about putting out character templates once there are about three people interested.
