Everything was cold.
It was all she could feel; cold, a total lack of heat in her body, a chilling and frightening numbness spreading through her right with it. The young woman was left quaking until she had practically been frozen in place by the cold, but her head managed to turn just slightly when something peculiar caught her attention; Joshua. Not the male himself, though he certainly was peculiar, but the way he was acting. The way he looked at her, expression shifting from surprise, to amusement, to rage and to sadness, all in a flurry. All as he viewed her. And... For some reason, a reason beyond her, it broke her heart.
J... Josh...?
Desperately, she willed herself to reach out to him, if only to gently brush her hand against his skin. But her body refused, unable to budge and fully susceptible to the cold. At its mercy. It filled her with not only panic, but heartbreak, and she felt a sudden burst of energy within herself seeing the male like this. A willpower and determination stoked in her heart, and so she kept on, trying her hardest to reach him--
Fortunately, while her body would not comply, someone else moved it for her. A man she faintly recognized; one of the warriors. And, left there wheezing and heaving and struggling to refrain from collapsing once she'd been 'brought back to life' in the red chamber? She still showed no care for herself, she immediately staggering to her companion's side.
"Josh!" she exclaimed through tolled gasps, nearly falling over more than once in her attempt to rush to his side. And ultimately doing so as she reached him, though she managed to save herself from a full-blown fall by gently grasping his arm and using it to support herself, her eyes fervently scanning him over all the while. "A-are you alright? I... I saw you were....-"
...How was she supposed to say it? Saw how deeply he felt for her? Saw how he acted in a way she knew well, a fountain of strong emotions pouring from him when he saw her 'lifeless', in a manner that your typical friend didn't? Saw he actually, just once, let his facade go and gave a damn about her? Saw that maybe, just maybe, he...
Something was different.
Physically, there were no wounds on him, so far as her assessment could find. But as she held him at arms length, hands gripping both of his shoulders weakly, and looked into his stunning amethyst orbs... She could see something wasn't right. No, in fact; something was very, very wrong.
"...What happened?" she asked quietly, her voice a bare, concerned whisper as her burning blue eyes searched his own. Her mind screamed at her that she should not be so close to him with how he gazed at her, but her heartand her sobbing, screeching, bawling shipping writer behind the screen who was in physical agony for this damage to her ship refused to budge. She would not leave him. Not until things were right. Even if her body gave out like it desperately longed to, or this resulted in the last breath being pried from her lungs.
She would not leave until he was alright.
