Hello Storyteller's new and old!
I just wanted to make a short announcement to let everyone know that the account approval system (you can read more about it HERE) is still in place for Storyteller's Circle, from a technical point of view.
However, Storyteller's Circle is currently a (technically) one man show, as far as staffing goes, and that's me.
Full disclosure: I have been beyond neglectful for many months, as far as stewarding what remains of this community. This isn't really an apology per se, as a lot of it involved personal struggles beyond my control, and the first step to grace is forgiving oneself.
But the lights never went out, even when it really would have helped my situation to divest myself of the website's costs. Because deep down, I haven't given up on the ideals I had when I first opened this community 10 years ago.
If you're a new or recently joined user wondering about account approval, just know that for now the requirements for approval aren't very high: Be a real person with a willingness to join our community, and introduce yourselves. That's all that I will require and will verify against.
The rest of our site rules remain as exact as they currently are however. If you post and more than 48 hours have gone by and you still can't see your intro on the forums, feel free to contact me. You may do so by replying to your post (I can see all unapproved content) or by using our Discord server (if you DM me, be sure to have joined the Discord server first, or I'll probably get you confused with a Discord bot).
EDIT: I was not accurate, and it may seem to be a lie by omission. I am technically not the only staff member still around. @Sune, who is our backend developer, has also been logging in during my absence and managing approvals and spam management.
It was remiss of me to not highlight Sune's contributions, and for that I am sorry. You should still contact me first for service related inquiries, Sune bites the rude, but if I am not able and you voice your needs kindly enough, I am not the only helping hand.
