Name: Keaton Daniels.
Age: 21.
Gender: Male.
Gang: The Disciples | The North.
Appearance:
Some would describe Keaton as a beanpole at 6'1" - tall, lanky, and with long, thin limbs. He almost looks like if a character walked out of a Tim Burton film and entered the real world. His skin is rather pale, to the point where he looks sickly and wan at almost all times. It doesn't help that the lack of sleep tends to give him some subtle bags under his eyes; and not to mention the cough that often comes along with it all. His hair is straight and black, falling just past his chin and usually quite greasy, as he tends not to care for his appearance too much. As well as that, his eyes also appear to be almost black from a distance - but really they are just dark brown. It's rare that he will ever be seen without the black gas mask that covers the lower portion of his face and helps filter the air for him to breathe. He likes to wear suits and formal wear, but the clothing in this world is usually shabby and damaged. So he learned to sew and patch clothing up, because he deserves nothing short of the best.
Weapons:
Most often prefers to use two handguns, though they are both different models; since he couldn't find a matching pair. One is black and the other is white. He even decided to name them: Yin and Yang. When he isn't using Yin and Yang, he has a pocket knife that he keeps folded up in, well, his pocket - but really he could fight with most anything he finds around. Pipes, bats, a rock... etc. Always looking around for flash bangs, molotovs, grenades, all that stuff.
Personality:
Straight off the bat, you'll find that Keaton is a rather unpleasant person to be around. Normally it's to be expected of those in The North. They are the antagonists, after all. He's really not even nice to his allies, though. Most of the time he just ignores them and never does anything to help those around him. He's uncannily selfish and greedy, refusing to share things he finds with others, not even rations of food. He appears to have no prejudice against who he kills and/or steals from - children, men, women, the sick and dying - all fair game to him. Being far from merciful, he'd probably never spare anyone unless he felt like it would be too much of a bother to kill them, or was losing a fight. Then he would run away like a coward. He has a twisted way of viewing the world, and thinks that anybody who isn't willing to serve him and cater to his demands doesn't even deserve to be alive; much less in his presence. He's sadistic, cold-hearted, and cruel. Also with a touch of arrogance and vanity, thinking himself to be both attractive and skilled in everything he does. If he isn't skilled, then he would make the excuse that it's because he's not trying or he doesn't want to be. Keaton is definitely a hard person to get to know, but he does have the capacity to treat others with respect - if he deems them worthy.
Biography:
Like some people, Keaton had the luck of being born under the protection and safety of a gang. At the time, this was actually The South that he had grown up in. His father had been a random member of that same gang who was never actually in love with his mother. He'd ditched her once he'd found out that she was pregnant, and no one but her would have known who he actually was. His mother was another member; one who actively slept around with any guy who was willing to indulge her. 'Course, protection isn't all that great or abundant these days, and well... Accidents happen. Keaton is one of them. He was a mistake but, nonetheless, she didn't get an abortion out of fear of how unclean and dangerous it could be, what with the lack of good medical supplies. When he was born she had been planning to drown him and no longer have to deal with some child depending on her, but the other gang members took him away from her and raised him instead. Having more members was a good thing, and they would be able to train him well from a young age. So it was a plus.
He never grew up around his mother because she eventually ended up being killed on the field when he was around a year old. To this date he has no actual memories of her, and only knows that her name was 'Alicia Davis'. Nobody had cared to give the boy a middle name, since he was just seen as another fighter rather than an actual person. Like any gang, they started training him from a young age on how to fight. It seemed he preferred to use small guns like pistols, so he honed those skills and became pretty efficient in the art. All in all, his childhood wasn't bad compared to a lot of people. He had food, clothing, shelter, a 'family', and didn't have to do much other than practice shooting things. Not once had he ever missed his parents, for he didn't know them and felt no misery at growing up without them. After the first time he killed, Keaton realized that he
liked it. Taking another person's life seemed so natural and perfectly-suited to one like him.
By the time he was 14, Keaton decided to leave The South and join up with The North instead. Of course, he didn't tell them - he just left one day and never came back. He suspected that they might have looked for him for a bit, but only to kill him if they saw him. And then he was forgotten. The reason he wanted to be part of The North was because he believed that if this 'Key' existed, it should be used on
him. Loki's Kin only wanted to destroy it and gain total control, but he wanted to use it. He doesn't want to die; he wants to stay alive and indulge himself in as many pleasures as this world can offer. Alcohol, drugs, women, food - anything that he can possibly obtain, he wants it. All of it. He's determined to find The Key and use it on himself, so that he can live to see the future. With each passing year he grows more desperate.
Other:
Since he's 21 years old, Adenovirus 423 has already begun to infect him. Even though he's in an early stage, he still has a particularly moderate case of lung problems that he has to deal with. It's affected him greatly, to the point where he had to start wearing a gas mask so he could breathe properly. Even too much pollen or dust in the air could cause him to start choking and gasping for breath. Oftentimes the virus can give him chest pains and make him weak, so he has to be careful not to overdo it.
