Blood Handy

She winced as she was moved but managed to relax on the bed a little. "Dying requires giving up. I don't ever give up. "

The nurse shakes her head and nods to Mark. "We will take her for xrays to see the placement then get her mended once we know where the breaks are exactly."

Mark nods. "It was him again."

The nurses around the bed froze and looked to him. They all knew the story. The head nurse nods. "Let's get going. Alert security. I refuse to have a death here. Now get going. "

They begin to roll the bed to the xray room.

Mark looks to the male. "They take great care of her. I need to alert the sheriff about what happened. "

Ghirahim sighed as they took her away and looked to Mark. "If he could stop it in the first place it wouldn't have happened. Tell me about this Vampire overlord. . .Do you know where he lives? Any weaknesses recorded?"

Cindy was taken back to the xray room and the pictures were taken quickly. The doctor wasn't happy about all the swelling. It made reading the image almost impossible.

"We are going to have to be very careful. Get an iv started and begin an ice treatment. We need to get the swelling down before we try to move those ribs. " she had two broken ribs and a three fractured.

Mark shakes his head slightly. "Usual vampire weaknesses but he's been too strong for anyone to get near. No one knows where he is located. Not even his own people. He keeps it that closely guarded."

The sheriff showed up then and was shaking his head. "Let me guess, she tried to do something she shouldn't have and got injured?"

Mark shrugs. "Sh is her father's child. She knows this city better than anyone. The water is back under control and begin dealt with but that vampire is only going to try again."

"Shouldn't have?!" Ghirahim was quite frustrated by that comment. "Are you saying that she should have let half of the town perish?!" He approached the sheriff angrily. "Do you even understand what's spewing from your mouth? You OWE her. A simple human just saved the lives of many. Saving one is worth praise because she had the choice to let you all perish and she didn't. She's above you all!" He crossed his arms and wrinkled his nose. "If you want someone to lecture go find this vampire! Or send me to do it! I'm already tired of hearing people whine over him."

The sheriff arched a brow at the male as he gazed at the male. He glanced to Mark who just shrugged. "I was stating more that we have teams she has put together to handle this stuff but she still goes into the danger herself."

Mark shakes his head. "The teams were put together to keep her out of sight and away from the dangers the master vampire was causing. "

Sheriff nods. "As for going after the master..You can't. Last time someone did...her father was killed."

Cindy had finally gotten wrapped up and an iv stuck in her arm. She was tired and grumpy but stayed put as the doctor left.

The doctor stops at the men. "She will be alright. Broke a few ribs and has some fractures. She is lucky she didn't puncture a lung. I want to keep her here over night to keep an eye on the swelling. You can go in and see her now. She is a bit grumpy right now but can see visitors."

"Then the team sucks and you failed because she beat you to it. You want good advice? Get a better team."

His ears perked up at the doctors arrival. He blinked a few times and glanced to the others to see if they were coming before entering her room. Curiously, he looked to her and stood by her bedside. "Well, I suppose your doctor did well. You alright?"

Mark shakes his head. "No one is as good as her. Then again she also had you teleporting her." He retorts.

Mark and the sheriff lingered back a little as he entered the room.

Cindy snorts a bit as he asked her if she was alright. "I'm fine. They don't trust me to not do something stupid so I'm on bed rest." She glares towards Mark and the Sheriff who were still lingering by the door.

"Mark have you heard a report from the team at the pipe? Did the new pipe order come in? Get the second team ready for full shifts. We'll need to do rotating shifts to get that line finished. "

Mark made a face. "I already did. Everyone is prepared and ready. New pipe is on the ground and getting put in."

Sheriff shakes his head. "Either way, you are staying put."

Ghirahim snarled slightly at the sheriff. "You're a rather bossy one aren't you?" He then knelt down towards Cindy with a grin and holding out his hand. "You want to leave? Take my hand and I can return you to your room if you wish. Should I take the medical equipment as well?"

The sheriff tenses. "She needs to be watched. "

Mark tenses as well.

Cindy blinks a bit and looks up at him. "Take me home." She accepts his hand. So they could teleport home.

For a few seconds, if any of them were paying attention, it might feel as though there was a pair of eyes on them from somewhere..

Red was still regretfully knocked out on Cindy's couch, still in his half-dead state. Deep down he knew he had to get out of this condition, something felt wrong and if anything happened to the human girl... he didn't want to think about it, he had to focus on getting out of here. It was strange, Red had never been in this dream for this long. Guess that's what happens when there was no one around to try and wake him up.

Ghirahim smiled. "I'll gladly watch over her then." With that, he teleported her back to her own house and into her bedroom. Quickly, his smile faded and he wrinkled his nose, turning towards the doorway. "It seems as if someone has never left. . .How rude, staying in your house without permission. Should I dispose of him yet?"

Before the men could argue, he was gone.

Mark arches a brow. "I think the master vampire is going to have a run for his money if she is hanging around with demons now. I smelled the scent of two on her...."

Sheriff blinks. "Demons? Why? Nevermind I don't need to know. Just as long as she stays alive and away from that master."

Cindy grimaced a little and shakes her head. "Don't you dare harm him. I told him he could stay here. And don't think for a second I won't get off this bed."

He had been hearing their voices in his dream before, but now they were stronger, a little more clear.. they were back. Well, if that was the case then they were okay, right? Still, something didn't seem right. It didn't help that things were starting to turn dark in his dream, now he just wanted out of there more than ever. But why couldn't he get himself out? it shouldn't be this hard, should it?

Ghirahim sighed. "Alright alright, don't get your panties in a knot. I won't hurt him. But I am going to go tell him we're back and he should make himself useful by making you a soup. So Ghirahim did just that. He turned and walked out, seeing him sleeping on the couch.

Quietly, he walked up to him and leaned down, then poked his nose. As much as he wanted to flick it, he held back with a sour frown. "Hey! Wake up." he grumbled. "It's quite rude to sleep in someone else's house without saying goodnight first."

Cindy rolled her eyes and truly hoped the male wouldn't hurt the other. She grimaced and closed her eyes a moment.

Quietly a voice began to whisper in Red's dream as the male tried to wake him. " Keep her safe. I am not the monster she thinks I am." The master whispered.

In the waking world, Red seemed to ignore Ghirahim. In fact he was completely limp, his breaths deep, but few and somewhat far between.

In his dream, he remained silent but couldn't help trying to look around for wherever that voice had come from. It was one he had never heard before, one that honestly made him scared, and aside from the one other person in the dream with him, it was the first clear, comprehensible voice that Red had heard. Somehow he could already tell who this voice was talking about, and he found the request slightly redundant since Red was already planning on trying to protect the girl, the best he could anyway.

He growled in frustration, then reached suddenly scooped him up with a mischievous grin. "Alright then, I'll just place you in a bath full of freezing cold water and watch you wake up and squirm!" He laughed at the mere thought loudly and began to explore to find the bathroom.

Cindy seemed to have heard what was said and yelled out. "Dont be mean to him!" She grimaced as she tried to get out of the bed.

The voice spoke again. "I am the master vampire to this city. For now keep the home secure. I do apologize for my man trying to kill you. I did believe you a threat at first. Now wake up before that male drowns you."

The younger demon started subconsciously grabbing at whatever part of Ghirahim's hand he could reach, either trying to stop him or trying to see if he'd be any help in getting him out of this awful dream.

"Easier said than done, sir." Red admittedly felt a little stupid talking to someone he couldn't see, but so far it had seemed like anything was possible in this realm. "It's never happened before, but for some reason I just can't manage to break out of this one. Now that I actually want to, anyway."

Ghirahim paused, hearing Cindy's comand and then let out a long disappointed sigh. "Fiiiiiine." He suddenly plopped down to the floor, holding Red as if he were a baby and taking his hand. If he couldn't shoo him off with violence, he'd just try being so nice it would creep him out and hopefully make him run away.

"Hey, wake up sleepyhead~" he teased with a grin, booping his nose. "It's time to wake up now~" Wow, sudden change of attitude. "Come on, don't make me tickle you!"
Creep alert!
