Conley Brothers

Felix glanced down at himself "afraid I had to Keith. I needed you to watch after my sister" he said as he sat up and stripped off his shirt "looks as though we will be paying more frequently though... I'll need your help with that"

Keith tutted as he watched Felix. "I like to help, but they are not playing fairly. I wish I could play with them and teach them how to play fair." His smile flashed cold and sharp before he was back to watching Felix innocently.

Felix smirked "you and me both Keith. I don't enjoy being under their thumb"

He fetched a fresh shirt and tugged in on "I'm working on it. But for now. We play along"

"Of course I will" Felix said with confidence "until then. I'm glad to have your assistance. Gods know my brother is useless in these matters"

Keith wrinkled his nose. "He is far too shiny and ridiculous! Sometimes I wonder why you do not give them him, but you are most knowledgable." He paused. "Oh. And Camilla is turning into a goat."

Felix paused at that, frowning he quickly buttoned his shirt "I will take care of things" he said "you my friend. Get some rest now. You've had a long night I'm sure"

"It was a quiet night. I do not mind working," Keith offered. He was tired, but if the Master needed him, he could find the energy. He would do anything the master needed.

Leon pounded on Vlad's trailer door. Vlad had only just begun to wake and had gotten out of bed. He winced at the pounding and rubbed his temples. Now what?

"If I have need I'll call on you. But rest. I'd rather have you well rested my friend" he said before opening thr door to head out.

-

Star jumped awake, his heart skipped. Little guy had slept snuggled up with Vlad most the night after they got back

Keith smiled and crawled under Felix' bed to sleep. He had such a kind master!

~~

The twins had slept on the other side of Vlad - Vlad was thinking it was getting to be a very crowded bed - and they moaned in protest as they curled up tighter. Kazimir was sound asleep on the bench, his leg and his arm hanging off.

Vlad opened the door and squinted in the early light. "Leon?"

"Camilla isn't fully recovered from her adventure last night, so you need to look after her chores," Leon said bluntly. "You have your brother and the children to help, so it should be no problem. Don't be late getting ready to roll out." He turned and walked off.

Vlad was left hanging on the door and staring after him. All of Camilla's chores and his own? "Oh dear," he sighed.

Thankfully Camillas only assigned chore was Claudius. Everything else she did she chose to do but that was usually making the rounds to check on everyone and run messages or errands to help out the others. That was just the sort of person Camilla was.

Star rubbed his eyes "I can help awhile" he offered, yawning

Vlad sighed and rubbed his brow. "Thank you, Star, but I would not want you out in the sunlight. Do you think you could help the twins get breakfast started and keep them and Kaz from getting into trouble while I go take care of things? I should be back in time help with breakfast."

He nodddd a little "Yes I can help" he nodded, even inside now he was squinting against the dim light. Perhaps sunglasses would help in the future

Vlad smiled and rubbed his head lightly. "Thank you, Little Star." He changed clothes quickly then hurried out to find food for Claudius as well Camilla. He did not trust Leon to remember, and he should probably check on Adanya. Those seemed like Camilla's responsibilities, so he would do them. But quickly!

Adanya had slept in later than usual. Normally up at the crack of dawn tending to her animals. Even now Vlad could hear the displeased yowls from inside the train of wagons she had. Not cages but the space inside expanded to form habitats. A team of horses hauled each wagon. Hired hands steered them during travel but beyond that Adanya did all the maitinence herself

After making certain Claudius had his breakfast, Vlad went to Adanya's trailer next. It was unusual to hear the animals crying like that. He knocked lightly on the wagon door. "Adanya? Are you awake? It is Vladimir."

It was a couple of moments more before Adanya answered, practically hanging off the door. She did not look well at all. Her face looked strangely gaunt

Vlad frowned. "Adanya, you do not look well. How do you feel? Are you well enough to travel?" He held up a plate of breakfast he'd remembered to bring at the last second.

"Not well..." she answered, sinking to her knees, she might of fallen completely if Striker didn't step in and let her lean on him

"Oh dear," Vlad frowned. "How can I help?" He held out a hand to help her up but did not touch her, letting her touch him first if she chose.
