Vlad dropped his hand with a sigh. "i cannot say I truly believe you, Adanya, but I suppose I have no choice. Very well, I'll see to the animals, and you rest until it is time to leave." He turned and headed off not to the animals but to his own wagon. Kazimir might as well lend a hand in all this.
Adanya curled up right there near the door, Striker protectively curling around her.
She did not like not being able to help the animals but trusted Vlad would see they got fed anyway
Camilla was still resting on her bed, she had tried to get up but felt too faint. She had found a silk scarf though to cover her horns with.
She still paled a little hearing his voice. He couldn't know. He couldn't see. She hesitated before answering "come in" she finally called, checking to make sure the horns were covered as she did so and her feet and legs tucked up under the blankets
Vlad opened the door and stepped inside. His brows furrowed in concern. "You do not look too well, Miss Camilla," he said worriedly. "Can I get you anything?"
"I'll be alright" she said with a small smile to assure him though seld consciously checked the edges of her scarf to make sure yet again that her horns were covered.
"If you can find me something to eat...I don't think I have the energy to go get anything from the cookhouse"
Vlad nodded. "That I can do. I will be back shortly." He smiled at her gently and stepped out, closing the door. Maybe he'd been seeing things last night. Maybe it had been a side effect of whatever happened to her combined with his lighting effect. Then again... the way she fussed with that scarf... No, that didn't matter right now. Perhaps later.
~~
Right about then, Kazimir hummed as he skipped merrily up to Adanya's wagon.
"Thanks Vlad" she said, watching him go. He didn't seem to have noticed anything
-
The door was still slightly open, Adanya blinked slowly when she heard him, she looked small curled up against Strikers impressive seven hundred pounds "Kazimir?"
After a few minutes, Vlad knocked again before letting himself into Camilla's wagon. "Miss Camilla, I come baring food," he said cheerfully. "Do you need any help getting ready to leave?"
~~
Kazimir poked his head and smiled brightly. "I think I have fed all the lions and tigers and bears, oh my!" He laughed at his own joke.
Camilla shook her head a little "not much to do..I'm to stay in and rest" she told him "Felix has arranged for Keith to drive my wagon today "if..you can spare a few moments I'd like the company" she guessed he must be busy but didn't hurt to ask
-
Adanya blinked and tilted her head, not understanding the reference and there fore not understanding what was funny "they are all well then?"
Vlad caught sight of the strange hoof, but he forced himself not to react. Reacting could be very bad. "I think they will be fine with some rest, but I need to get back. I wish I could stay longer, but I hope to see you over lunch."
~~
"Food?" Kazimir hesitated. "Oh! Right. Hold on." He stepped out of sight then soon returned lugging a heavy bucket of assorted meats. "Here we are! Where do you want it?"
"Felix says I shpuld stay inside until..I am more myself..I mean. Feeling better" she said "but if you wish to stop in at lunch I would like to see you. Visitors are always welcome" she was social for certain. Being cooped inside was basically a punishment.
--
"Leave it out there. He will come" Adanya answered. Shifting off the tiger so the old thing could get up and climb down to fetch his meal
Vlad smiled as he stood. "Then I will certainly be here! Take care of yourself, Miss Camilla." He gave her a little bow and started to leave. He was still second guessing himself on what he saw, but it had to be what he thought it was. Now his question was: why was she hiding herself? Here of all places?
~~
Kazimir nodded and dumped the food out on the ground a few steps from the wagon. "Here we are, Striker! Delicious breakfast."
