Dark Stuides

She watches him a little and then goes to wash dishes while he showered. Once she was done with that she went over to the couch and laid down. Smokey came up and curled up beside her. Mary rolled to her side and started to pet the soft fur of her cat. Lost to her thoughts for a moment. She hadn't meant to drift off to sleep but she had. Smokey softly purring away.

After some time the male got out of the shower then realized he had left his new clothes by the door he wrapped a towel about his waist and headed out into the other room to fetch them. As he walked past the couch he notice her sleeping there where he the night before. His smile was softly as he reached out to brush his finger tips over her cheek, "Sleep well little one."

She stirs a little at his touch and then relaxes once more back into her sleep. Smokey was watching him from where she lay beside Mary. She moves a little so she was closer to her human and nestled against her chest, purring softly. She meows almost quietly to him.

The demon smiled softly at then petted the cat, "Don't wake her up," He told the cat softly, "She needs the sleep."

Smokey nudges his hand gently before relaxing and just purring.

Mary slept quietly for a little bit. Her dreams were strange and confusing but they were the kind that many didn't remember when they woke.

After dressing in just jeans the male headed into kitchen with a magazine he had found laying about. He began trying to teach himself to read a little. After some time he was asleep at the table. His long hair fanning out over his back and brushing the ground slightly. The demon's head was craddled in his arms on the table.

Mary wakes a little while later to find him at the table. She moves to him and gently touches his shoulders. "Hey hun, let's get you laying down before you get a stiff back."She smiles softly.

The demon lashed out grabbing her hand before he realized she was a friend and not someone out to kill him. His breathing was heavy as he stared at her with fully red irises surrounded in pools of black. A black mark encircled his neck. He stared at her with his mouth slightly open trying to think of what to do. Quickly he let her go and stood up from the chair.

What he had been about to do to her scared him unlike any other thing. For a moment he had thought her Alivia the woman who never loved him but wanted him to behave as if she did. He excused himself quickly and headed outside. He needed fresh air.

She gasps in surprise at his reaction of her waking him up. For the first time with him, she felt a touch of fear. She stared up at him.

When he rushed out the door, she took some steps to follow him but then stopped. She stared at the door after him. She sat down in the chair that he had just been in.

It reminded her of the fact ,he wasn't human. He wasn't normal and also, he had a bad past like her. She should have known better than to try and wake him like that.

The demon walked like a mad man towards the park he and Mary had visited. He was cursing himself for not staying aware of things around him. After all had he she would be scared of him. The scent of it still clung to him like a the sweet yet disgusting scent of a rotting carcass. Stepping off the path he threaded through the trees till he was by a small stream and there was little chance he would be seen. Hexel plopped down on the soft damp bank of the stream and sighed, "What do you do when what you want isn't in your nature to have or give?"

Mary stayed in the apartment for a little longer but then she couldn't stand it anymore and wanted to find him. She grabs her keys and her phone and heads out the door.

She starts walking along the side walk unsure of where he would go in such a state. She thought of calling the warlock but she didn't want the man to think she had failed in her promise. She could find him.

The demon's true form reflected back at him from the water's slow moving surface. He could clearly see his long black tail decorated with rings of gold and ending with a tassel of long fur. His horns that jutted back along the upper sides of his head. They too were decorated with gold. His ears were elven like and decorated with studs of gold some adorn with rubies that matched his eyes. Those eyes. They were all she had see but he knew she would see more of him if not all of him. He didn't want her to though. He wanted to remain that human looking man he had seen in the mirror the first night he met her. The stronger he became the more his demon features would fill in and become visible.

She shivers a little as the cool breeze picked up a little. She should have grabbed a jacket. Her eyes were scanning the streets though, she had to find him.

Rubbing her arms she crossed the street and started in the direction of the park. Maybe he was there?

It was very early morning but she knew the sound of footsteps behind her when she heard them. Panic slammed into her.

The demon wasn't aware she had come looking for him.

The stalker that Hexel had tried to scare off was ever the opportunist. He had noticed the demon leave rather quickly and took it as a sign that he might want to move quickly. He had been watching the woman of his dreams carefully for years now. He thought he could just one day bump into her and she would fall in love with him. That was till she came home a few days ago with Hexel. Now he realized he would have to take her and show her that he was better for her. In a quick movement he stepped up behind her and wrapped his arms around her pressing a rag over her mouth as he did, "Shhh.... It's okay I'm going to make sure that man doesn't hurt you any more!" He promised before dragging her away to his appartment down the street.

She had tried to struggle as soon as she felt the arms around her, holding her breath as the rag came over her mouth. It didn't work though, the effects taking hold as she was forced to gasp for air and tried to scream, tried to call for help. Not again, not this. Fear consumed her mind as she blacked out.

Darien stood after sometime and headed back to the appartment. When he found the door locked he frowned and called out, "Mary?"

After a moment he heard Smokey going nuts inside. Using his magic he forced the door open, "Mary?" He called again as he stepped inside. Everything was in place but the human girl. His heart picked up as he grabbed Smokey by the scruff and threw her on his shoulder before closing the door and setting a magic trap that would stun intruders. He breathed in the cool air trying to catch a scent of the woman but was finding it hard.

The creep who kidnapped Mary went by the name of Micky. He was around 26 or so and wasn't that appealing ot look at. He had shaggy brown hair and wore thick glasses over his equally brown eyes. His face was plagued by acne. He had her bound to a chair in his dinning room in a matter of moments after carrying into the up stairs flat, "Mary?" He questioned softly as he tried to wake her up.

She started to stir a little. Her head was pounding. With a grimace, she started to wake a little more but when she heard the voice, fear quickly returned. She wasn't home. No she was some where else. The nightmare was starting all over again.

She tried to stay focused and keep the tremble from her body as she opens her eyes and looks around. It was to see the man who stood in front of her.

Hexel realized quickly that he wasn't going to find her without becoming that which he hated. He stopped for a moment and patted the cat on the head, "Hang one little one," With that he dropped the human appearance that clouded his true form from sight. His long tail whipped behind him as he accessed a power that allowed him to see that threads that bound himself to another. The vibrant red ribbon danced before him. Quickly he chased after it.

Micky smiled at her then tried to comfort her, "Listen that man who is living with you is a demon. He would kill you and take your soul to Hell," He rambled on, "You should be falling for me not him!"

The front door exploded inwards revealing Hexel in all his demonic rage, "Fucking cunt. Couldn't heed my warning could ya?" In a flash of moment he was across the room slamming the human against the nearest wall. Smokey bounced down from the demon's shoulders and ran over to Mary.

Mary was trembling in the chair, pulling on the ropes that held her as the guy spoke to her about Hexel. How did this guy know what Hexel was? She had to get away from this guy but the ropes were tied tightly and dug into her wrists a little. Just as she was about to argue with the guy, the door was kicked in.

Her eyes widen at the sight that was there. Hexel? It had to be him. She stared as he slammed the human against the wall. She blinks a little as Smokey jumped in her lap. She manages a weak smile. "Hey..girl..." She mutters, then looks back towards Hexel, afraid that he was going to kill the human.

The cat busiedly started knawing at the ropes. She had already chatted with Hexel to get Mary free so he could deal with the kidnapper. The demon shook with rage, "You will never hurt her ever again," he promised as slammed his much harder head into the human's knocking him out. He let him drop to the ground before he turned ot look at Mary. He conjured a dagger and cut the ropes then thanked Smokey for her work, "Take Smokey and go back to the house," He told her, "I have things to finish here."

He stared to reach out to her but stopped as he noticed the binds that were tattooed on his wrist and on the back of his hand. His trueform was still exposed to her. His eyes looked hurt slightly as he pulled away and motioned for her to leave.
