Dark Stuides

Mary rubbed her wrists a little once the ropes were free. Then she picks up Smokey and held her to her chest. It was impossible for her to keep the fear out of her expression. She was afraid but she couldn't tell anymore what she was really afraid of anymore, was it just him or from the stalker as well? She didn't know anymore.

When he told her to leave, she could see the hurt in his eyes when he reached for her. She realized she wanted his touch but when he pulled away and just motioned for her to leave, she wanted to stay for him. Her body felt weak and she was trembling but she seemed to be in a state of shock as she nods to him a little and does as he told her. She left.

She leaves, running with Smokey in her arms back to the house. Once she got there, she closed the door but didn't lock it. Her head was pounding from the side effects of the drug the stalker had used to knock her out. Gently she put Smokey down and managed to make it to the couch before she collapsed onto it. The blanket there, she pulled it close to her. It smelled like him. She closed her eyes, her body still shaking and trembling.

The demon felt like a monster. He wanted to kill this man before him. To destroy him. Instead he carried him to the warlock. Once there he explained what happened. Leaving the man in the warlock's care he headed back to Mary's. He needed to check on her even if she never wanted to see him again. His chest was tight and he longed to just disappear.

He opened the door and stepped inside. Seeing her asleep on the couch he sighed softly then walked over, scooped her up and carried her to her bed. Tucking her in he knelt by her bedside. There wasn't any words to describe how he felt. He was destroyed inside. He was sure she didn't want a demon at her side.

Smokey was on guard but relaxed when he came in. She rubbed against him in reassurance before following him as he carried Mary to the bed.

Mary stirred a little in his arms as he carried her, nestling closer to him before he set her down. Her head had been hurting still and every part of her ached from the effects of shock.

She woke a moment, still in a sleep like state but she saw him and reached for him. She took his hand in hers and drew him too her, holding tightly to him before closing her eyes again.

The demon was more than surprised when she reached for him. Realizing she wanted him closer he lifted the blankets and slipped into the bed next to her pulling her up against his chest so she was comfortable and warm. He slept with his head to the side to accomidate his horn. Her scent was a lalaby that drew him into slumber.

As soon as he held here she fell into a deeper sleep. She remained that way for several hours, content in his arms. When she woke, it was to a massive headache. She grimaces a little and curled up more to him. The clorophorm used to knock her out always gave her such horrible headaches for a few days after. She pulls the blanket over her head a little to block out any light. Smokey decided then to start meowing and that just made Mary groan a little and mutter to the cat. "Shhjj hunny...I know you haven't eaten in a while and your water is empty....give me a minute. " even talking made her head pound worse.

Hexel ever the light sleeper was awake as soon as she started moving. When he glanced down he wasn't sure what was wrong, "Hey," He called softly as he caught her chin and kissed her lips, "I'm sorry," He told her as he placed a hand over her eyes so she couldn't see his true form. It sat wrong with him when he thought about it. After a moment he felt the slight fever she had from the headache. Using his magic he eased the pain and hopefully made it go away.

She grimaces a little again but then started to relax as she felt the pain fade away. That headache had brought back horrible memories again. She stayed snuggled close to him. His hand over her eyes, she gently reached up and pulled it away.

She gazed up at him. "It's okay...you don't have to hide from me...."

Hexel stared down at her with sad eyes before he pulled her closer just holding her soft form against his own. How he adored this lovely slip of a woman. She should fear him. But she instead trusted him, "Why? I have failed you in the one thing that I have sworn to you."

She gazed at him. "You found me, you got me out of there." She says softly to him, touching his cheek gently.

The demon's tail flicked back and forth behind him lazily as he purred into her touch much like her cat might have, "I will always find you and get you out," He explained softly.

She nods and smiles softly to him. She stayed relaxed to him. That was when Smokey decided she had been ignored long enough and jumped onto the bed and then onto them and nipped at his moving tail.

Hexel was amused slightly as his tail was chased about by the cat, "We will be up in a moment," He told her softly, "I have things to do to you master first." He was trying to be lewd but honestly he hadn't the energy to be that way.

Mary smiles again and shakes her head. Smokey didn't agree with this and took to jumping on him and her. She laughs at the antics of her cat. "She is being very persistent."

Huffing the male picked them both up and carried them to the kitchen where he sat Mary in a chair with the cat in her lap. He set about making some food for them all. He looked at home despite being completely unnatural.

She giggles again and shakes her head. "You are spooling her." She says to him.

Smokey seemed to be okay with it and meowed as such.

Mary was feeling better and was glad her headache was gone. She thought of asking him what he did with the stalker but decided to wait on that.

Hexel was happy to be doing something rather than thinking about the fact that he let the man live. But even in his time, scaring a woman wasn't a crime worth death. Humming softly he served the meal of scrambled eggs, ham and pan toast, "Eat up," He told her as he set a small plate down for Smokey then joined Mary at the table.

She smiles softly and nods. "Looks amazing." She said as she starts to eat. Smokey was busy chowing down on her own food as well.

After a little bit her phone started ringing and she makes a face at the thing before walking over to answer it.

The demon ate slowly then glanced up at the ring of the phone. It wasn't annoying to him yet simply interesting. After all he had only become aquainted with the objects recently.

She answers and sighs at the voice on the other end. "I'm fine." Then she tenses and looks at the calendar on the wall. "Dang, I'm sorry. Something happened yesterday I lost track of time. I'll be there tomorrow I promise. Just let the professor know. No I'm okay. You don't need to come over. I'm fine honest."

She makes a face as she hangs up. "Completely forgot that classes started today. Luckily I only had one and it wasn't actually a class but a study group thing with one of the professors and some of the students."

The demon glanced at her, "I see. I suppose I should make you something for lunch," He glanced about at some of the things then over at the plants they had bought. He hadn't tended to them yet, "Anything you would like to take with you?"
