Dark Stuides

She looks over at Hexel as she finishes packing her little bag. "I'm very sure." She zips up the bag and leaving it on the bed, she walks over to him. "There is so much I want to learn and yes I like my little life here but right now...I still see that demon when I close my eyes. I need to get away for a bit. Escape this place for a moment." She wraps her arms around him. "I will let you know the instant I chance my mind or feel uncertain of something. Honest." She says to him.

He stared down at her for a moment before pulling her tight against him, "I'll hold you to that," He told her, "It will only take a moment for us to get there. A lovely trick my father once showed me was how to use existing doorways as a portal," He pulled out a chunk of chalk he must have looted from Markus and drew a pattern on the face of the bedroom door. He knocked once before opening the door. What greeted them across the threshold wasn't her living room but a vast field of golden hay that swayed in a late summer breeze, "After you," He told her gently.

She smiles warmly to him. "I know you will." She watches him curiously as he makes the doorway. Her eyes widen at the sight of what lay on the other side as he opened the door. It was an amazing sight. She nods softly and steps forward through the door way as she looks around curiously, picking up her bag from the bed as she went by it. "Beautiful." She murmurs softly. She looks to him smiling.

The demon smiled at the look on her face. He was happy to see she was impressed. The fairy realm was one of the more diverse realms. Taking her bag he started working, "We should get out of this field before a fairy gets angry with us," he winked at her.

She nods a bit at his words as she was still staring at the beautiful place. Blinking a bit, she had to jog a little to catch up to him.

She smiles to him ,her eyes taking in the sight of everything around them. "I've never seen anything like this. It's beautiful. "

Slowly he lead her out of the field and onto a road. A flash of colorful wings passed by them only to stop a moment later and return, "A demon and a human..." Large black eyes stared down at the pair as the tiny bird like fae looked them over. Its feathers were the color of the ocean. Greens and blues mixed as it drifted closer to perch on Hexel's now out stretched hand, "We are looking for the nearby city," He explained gently.

"Oh? I'm headed to Everwood now, though the human might be too slow to keep up with myself," It rubbed it feathery haired head then glanced down the path again.

"I will carry her if you lead us there," Hexel told the small creature who nodded sharply then fluttered off his hand, "Mary climb onto my back would you?" He couched slightly to make it easier.

The bird was beautiful to her and she smiles a bit. She didn't mind the words about her being too slow. It was probably true and there was no point in her getting offended over something that was true. A city nearby? She was excited to see it.

She nods softly to Hexel as he asked her to climb onto his back. Moving to him, she got onto his back carefully and held on gently to him.

The fae took off quickly as did Hexel. Holding onto the underside of her thighs so she wouldn't fall. He was a smooth runner. In no time the outskirts of the city came into view. The buildings seemed impossible and defied all logic. It was all just a matter of how the people chose to live.

She had never thought of traveling with Hexel like this. She loved how fast he ran. She had never gone so fast before.

As the city came to view, she gazed at it curiously. All the little details of the place were fasinating to her. It was nothing like what she had seen before then again she had to remind herself that this wasn't her realm. This was the realm of the fae and there was going to be much here that she had never seen before.

Hexel slowed down the closer they got to the buildings, "Here we are," He murmured as he crouched to let her down. Once she was down he would begin to lead the way through the crowds, "Keep close," Hexel told her softly, "We are going to find an inn to stay in for the night. They are getting ready to celebrate the Summer Solstice."

The inn was a little crowded as well but they had managed to get there in time for a room. They would share one as it was safer and practical, "You can clean up first and if you get hungry there is food at the bar downstairs. Just don't leave the inn. It would be hard for me to find you if you did."

Gently she got down from his back, her eyes looking around with curiosity at everything. She blinks a little at his words and nods softly. She would heed his warning and stay close to him.

Once they got a room, she nods to him. "Okay." She says softly, smiling to him. Once in the room, she got cleaned up. She didn't take too long as the idea of food was luring. She felt really hungry all of a sudden.

After Mary was cleaned up the demon encouraged her to head downstairs to eat while he bathed. He hadn't wanted her to be bored waiting for him much less hungry while waiting for him.

She smiles warmly to him and nods. She kisses him softly before heading out the door and downstairs to get something to eat. She was hungry that was for sure and wondered what the food would be like in this place. Walking to the bar, she waited until she could order.

The place was crowded but she managed to not push anyone or get stepped on for that matter. She tried to be respectful and not draw attention to herself.

It wasn't long after she ordered that she was joined by a very beautiful man with long silver hair. His eyes were a deep rich purple. He was dressed in a tailored suit that could have easily been from the late 1800's in a rich dark blue his tie was a amethyst color that matched his eyes, "Good day, madam," He greeted gently his voice was gentle, "What brings a mortal here on Summer Solstice?"

She blinks a bit and looks up at the male that had spoken to her. She smiles softly. Then thought of her answer. What were her and Hexel to each other. She would have to remember to ask him that question.

"A friend brought me." She smiles again. Though to her, Hexel was more than a friend.

The charming gentleman tilted his head slightly, "And what sort of friend would leave a beautiful lamb unguarded in a den of wolves?" He gave a sigh softly as he crossed his legs then hummed gently, "I suppose you would defend the fool that left you here?" The male wasn't trying to be rude but honest, "The world is dangerous for those with little ability to see past the glamour a monster wears."

Pulling at the tie he loosened it before he undid the the first button of his shirt. Dipping his hand in he pulled out a pendent taking it off carefully so he didn't get it caught in his long hair, "Here," It was a beautiful crystal encircled in gold, "Hold it up to your eye and peer through it. I warn you don't do it obviously. Many creatures don't care for them glamour to be so easily removed."

If she were to hold it up and look at him she would notice his shocking resemblance to Hexel but with long white hair instead of black. His horns were black tipped in red. Bands of gold lined his horns as strands fell gracefully over his hair and down his back. His eyes were similar to Hexel's but with gold irises, "Keep it." He told her as he fixed his shirt and tie again, "I hope it comes into use for you." With that he stood and left.

It was true, she would defend Hexel but this stranger's words made her all to aware of how vulnerable she could be in such a place. She hadn't put much thought into it despite Hexel's warnings to her about the dangers.

There was one thing the male was wrong about though. She could see through his glamour. It was in how he moved. He was alluring, she would admit but every part of him screamed predator to her and she felt so much like prey now.

Gently she accepted the pendant from him and did as he suggested. It wasn't hard to be inconspicuous in such a crowd.

Though as she found herself gazing at him, her eyes widen as bit before she lowers it. So much like Hexel. Could they be related? Were demons like humans and when related looked similar?

She was getting more questions to ask Hexel that was for sure. Before she could ask the male anything though he was getting up to leave.

"Thank you.." she says when he told her to keep the pendant. She watches him leave. The temptation to go after him was there but she didn't listen to it. Hexel told her to stay in the bar.

She blinks a bit when her food arrived and thanked the female, putting the pendant around her neck and under her shirt out of sight.

A cold feeling crossed Hexel despite being in overly hot water at the moment. Getting out of the tub he toweled off and got dressed quickly before heading down stairs. His long hair was bound up into a low bun to keep it out of his way. It took him little time to find the woman he was looking for. Mary was at the bar eating, "Hey," He paused and sniffed at her neck, "Who was here?" He nearly growled at her harshly before he sat next to her. His ruby eyes danced around the room trying to find where that scent might be now.

She smiles warmly when Hexel reaches her. "Hey." She blinks a bit as she heard the growl in his voice, she finished her bite of food and looked at him.

His reaction wasn't what she had expected but then again she should have. "A male. Someone like you. Well actually he looked a lot like you. Some differences but like you."

She eyes Hexel carefully then asks just as carefully. "You know him don't you?" Which made her wonder suddenly that if Hexel had picked up the male's scent ,had the male known that she was with Hexel to begin with?

Hexel glanced to her then sighed, "The male was my father likely," a heavy huff came from him as he tilted his head and leaned closer, "Just him being near you doesn't explain why his scent is clinging to you though," it was then he noticed the chain of the necklace, "What's that?" His voice was light and gentle as if he had some clue already as to what it was. His father had used Mary as a messenger. Hexel's mother had passed at some point while he was sealed away. The necklace had been hers and was to be given to him. Some part of him was happy to see it around Mary's neck but hoped it didn't lead to the same fate as his dear mother.

"Sitiri," He murmured, "Long white hair, noble looking man with a gentle face, and come get me golden eyes?"
