Dark Stuides

Gently she pulled the necklace from beneath her shirt so Hexel could see it. "He gave it to me. Said it helps to see through glamour. He let me look at him through it..."

She tilts her head a little. "I would exactly call them come get me eyes but that does describe the male. "

"So...that means he knew you were here...and that I was with you? He made the comment about me being left alone down here." She shakes her head. "No one else has bothered me..."

He nods, "My scent as well as his are very distinct. Most who can smell it will leave you alone," Hexel reached out and cupped the pendent in his hand, "I knew it wouldn't last I just hoped it would be possible," He smiled for her. He smile softly so she wouldn't see how hurt he was that his old man had done this. His lips pressed to her forehead, "Would you like to go to the shopping district with me? I'm sure what we brought isn't suitable for a festival."

Part of her knew something was troubling him but she wouldn't push it. Not now at least. Smiling warmly to him. She nods. "That sounds like a plan." She finishes her meal and gets up from her chair.

Was his father trying to get at Hexel some how? She hoped not but she wasn't sure and decides she better stay with Hexel at all times for now on. Something made her uneasy but not afraid. Just cautious if anything.

Hexel lead the female out of the tavern and down the stone path towards the markets. Many beautiful dresses hung in shop windows along with several different kinds of things, "Let me know if you see something to your liking," He told her as he paused by a jeweler glancing over his wears before a beautiful knot work of gold and silver twisted together to form a small ring. Picking it up he handed the elf a few coins who thanked him before the pair continued on.

She nods softly at his words and stayed at his side. The dresses all looked beautiful to her but she hadn't really worn a dress before. She wasn't sure what would look good on her.

At one shop though, a deep green and golden dress caught her eyes. It was pretty to her, but she wasn't sure if it was a dress for her. It seemed a bit revealing with the slit up the leg and low front with an open back.

He noticed her gaze on a green dress and nodded, "It will look lovely on you," he stated. Some part of him wanted her to be proud of her scars. She had survived what many wouldn't have. She also was still as beautiful as could be. He kept the ring in his grasp for a moment before slipping it into his pocket.

She smiles to him and felt herself blushing a little. "I've never worn a dress...well not since I was a child that is.." she looks at the dress again. "You think so?"

He cupped her cheek, "You are a diamond with the grace of a cloud," He smiled at her, "You will look great in anything you put on. Just remember. If you show confidence in yourself others won't see the bad things that happened but the glory of who you have become because of it."

She smiles warmly at his words as she let herself relax. "Thank you. I needed to hear those words." She says to him. Then nods softly. "Can I try that one on?" She asks softly to him.

He motioned for her to ask the winged shop keep who smiled at the couple, "What would you like me to help you with?"

She smiles softly. She was used to asking and doing things on her own yet now she felt a little shy. She ignores the feeling and looks to the shop keeper. The wings were beautiful.

"The green and gold dress...may I try it on?"

The Fae nodded as she lead the way into her shop and pulled the dress off the manikin in the window then held it out to the girl, "If you need help putting it on let me know there is a place over there behind the curtain that you can change in," The woman glanced to the demon and smiled, "She's a gem if you ask me."

Hexel chuckled, "She is."

She nods and gently accepted the dress from the female. Moving to the curtain area she got behind it to change.

She had caught what the female had said and felt herself blush a little. She wasn't used to such compliments, then again Hexel was always being sweet to her.

Getting the dress on, she realized she needed help closing it up. She pokes her head out from behind the curtain. "I need help closing it up." She smiles.

The fae nodded and was over in a flash stepping in to help button the ivory buttons that lined the back closure. Once done she leaned to the side so they could stare at the mirror, "As beautiful as a flower," She smiled, "Would you like me to fix your hair as well? I have many things that go well with the dress."

Mary was staring at herself in the mirror. She barely recognized herself as it was. The scars could be clearly seen but she didn't feel ashamed of them. Hexel's words on her mind kept her from wanting to hide them.

She looks to the female in the mirror and nods a little. "I haven't worn a dress since I was young." She smiles a bit. "I want to look good for him. " she blinks a bit and blushes not realizing she and said the words out loud.

The fae winked, "Leave it to me!" She chimmed then disappeared for a moment returning she had a box in her hands and set it on the small shelf next to the mirror. Opening it she motioned for Mary to sit so she could set about fixing her hair. She started by braiding her bangs to the sides adding a pin studded with an emerald to the ends to hold them before moving to the mass of locks at the back. Parting it in half to give it a top and a bottom, she braided the top tied it with a green ribbon the put a gold pin in the middle of the bow. She then took the two tails of the bangs and pinned them in place at the top of the larger braid in the back. She added a few more pins of gold and emerald before smiling, "Now that is beautiful, no?"

Her eyes widen as she looks at the results in the mirror. She smiles warmly and nods. "Amazing." She looks up at the female. "Thank you so much." She says to her.

The merchant smiled, "you are most welcome," Then moved out of the dressing room and waited for Mary. Hexel was glancing around at other things here and there unsure what was taking the girls so long.

She smiles again then steps out from behind the curtain and walks over to Hexel. She smiles shyly to him. "What do you think?"

The demon froze as he glanced at the woman. She was beautiful and left his mouth dry, "My gods. You look beautiful," He cupped her chin and lifted it slightly so he could place a gentle kiss on her lips. His other hand dipped into his pocket before his other hand dropped down to her left hand, "I think this will complete it." He told her as he placed the ring in her hand.
