Exile From Metropolis [Out of Character Thread]

So, I think I am going to respectfully bow out on this one. I've been trying to figure out how I want to approach it for a while now, but I think it just comes down to the issue that this isn't quite what I thought it would be or wanted it to be. I'm sure it can still be fun for people, it's just not quite right for me personally. I hope you all have an amazing time with it!

Aww okay.

I'm not particularly opinionated in this sort of matter n_n'

I'd honestly go for anything either Azra or you decide.

Sorry for the wait, I have been out of town for a couple days and dont have a notebook/laptop. I will post something this evening.

So sorry for the massive delay on my side, things got weird on my side, a lot of work that just got shot through the roof with the Holidays, I am currently catching up with things in-site, so I will set a decently long post as compensation tonight.

No problem. It's the holidays.

Do you want one of us to write the npcs or direct plot some? Don't mind just felt maybe should ask as not sure of the rp direction at the moment

Yeah, I was sort of thinking the same. I think we should start planning out a little, just to have a general idea of the actual central plot.

I enjoy the story so far, but I would like to know where you would like it to go specifically @AuntRainbows , not that we need to know exactly how the story has to end, but it would be nice to know what you hope for the story to aim for that a bit more.

Usually I do player driven plotlines, so yes, I encourage you do assist with the plotline and writing npcs. If you are unsure just write in here.

Basically, eventually a "big bad" will show up, jeopardizing the groups mission and life in their new home. Since demons exist, why cant there be a religious organization that is behind the country that is behind the assassins. But the antagonist isnt all about getting rid of demons/the group/the shady organizations for the greater good but because they are in the way or a more ambitious and sinister plot.

I think I understand your idea, if you don't mind, I do have to mention- I think Naoma is an issue to the equation.

I mean, I am not opposed to go for a main antagonist, but I think antagonist in this case maybe is not, a villain in the traditional sense.

Naoma is, a piece of garbage, with all due respect to my lovely creation, because I made her that way. She's "chaotic-neutral" in her mind, but really, she's an awful person, doesn't care for her country, her people, and her friends are technically a part of her collection that just happens to still be alive.

I mean, if anything the character with the cleanest moral compass is Alice, which is saying a lot for an assassin.

I think the religious organization can work, but, how can we work around this to make them, actually an issue.

Kana and Naoma obviously have issues with a religious group against abyss users and necromancers, and I guess Alice is also on their list just for mere connection.

But, what is worse than espionage, warfare and violation of natural laws like death?

I think that is the main question to work on an antagonist.

That or I can sacrifice Naoma and use her as your antagonist if you consider someone who wants, eternal damnation for everyone as a worthy antagonist.

That is what I had in mind I think, but it's just an opinion, to be honest I'm happy to work with anything else you have in mind.

Just felt like npcs showed up offering stuff to do then got dropped. I figured I can probably run with that if we wanted. Don't mind directing a lil adventure.

I really like the cast and setting don't think any character an issue or anything. Just to me feels like it's in need of like a opening act and that maybe wasn't as mapped out or in mind as we'd thought.

Alice is guilty by association. And if you'd prefer that our characters are the villains and the "antagonists" are actually the good guys, we can do that. Whether the villains win would be up to the roleplay.

How about when everyone is at Naoma's, the place gets raided by assassins and some sorts of mecha paladins and shit?

Truth be told, I have no preference, it was just something I had in mind super late after my shift yesterday. The antagonists can still be bad people for entirely different reasons, I was just thinking that if we wanted a big bad guy, well, the girls are pretty much bad guys in the eye of the regular person.

Again, just my thoughts, I am not opposed to the route the story has at the time, I just wanted to toss ideas around to have some inspiration for my post. :]
