"No, acting like a reckless idiot. So far what I have seen, not even Titus acts as hostile as you. And that says something about a man from a dimension in which this tech is seen as heretic. If you're a soldier, than you're the worst example of a soldier I have ever seen." Meceliss said back towards Sarge.
“AUDIBLE GASP!!!”

Sarge would stop dead in his tracks when Meceliss spoke those words, turning around and approaching Meceliss. However, he didn’t raise his gun towards her or even raise a hand. Instead, he just stood there before speaking.

“Lady, I’ve been serving in the military since the age of ten. My Pappy, Grandpappy, Great Grandpappy, and all my ancestors have served as well. And you know what’s we have in common?

We all shoot and kill dirty Blues.

What you call reckless, others such as myself call heroeic! A true Red soldier follows orders! And those orders are killin’ Blues! If he suspects that someone’s may be a Blue, then by God he’ll shoot ‘em.

If you were on my squad, I’d have you shot for insubordination, you lowsy good for nothing dirtbag!”

And with that, Sarge turned and began to follow the trail once more.

"None of these people were Blues. Not Spock, even while wearing blue. He's not your enemy and yet you tried to kriffing shoot him. The only thing you have been doing is accusing people of being Blues or straight up trying to kill them!" Meceliss said before trying to lift him into the air with Telekinesis "And don't call me a dirtbag again. I'm running out of patience with you." she added, it was very obvious that Sarge was working on her nerves in a very bad manner.

“That’s because anyone here could be an enemy!” Sarge exclaimed in response to Meciless’ first statement.

As he was lifted up in the air, however, Sarge only glared daggers at the woman behind his helmet.

“I don’t have to listen to a Goddamn thing you say, dirtbag!” Sarge spat despite being lifted up into the air and practically at the Jedi’s mercy.

Meceliss had enough of his words and throws him away into a random direction. This wasn't worth the time to get more angry on. It was evident that she was close to do something, but what she would do is unclear.

"Enough. Cease this infighting at once," Spock said calmly as ever, but with a firmer edge to his voice, displaying his authoritative prowess, moreso toward Meceliss as she seemed to cast the first stone. Suddenly, he placed his hand on the base of Meceliss's neck, pinching it tightly and causing the Jedi to lose focus, her grip on Sarge cancelled out as even her vision blurred, though she would quickly recover.

Spock furrowed his brow as he looked at his hand upon withdrawing it, before looking back at Meceliss. "Curious... The nerve pinch, under normal circumstances, would instantly render you unconscious, but it seems that it is at least still effective to a notable degree," he commented, before continuing to speak, "In any case, both of you are clouded by your emotions at this moment; there is a better time than now to squabble. Right now, this mission is far too important to allow your emotions to interfere. I will advise only this once to refrain from any more of this foolery. Are we in agreement?"

“Of course! We won’t let these grudges get between us and those dam boys Blues! This is what they want us to do!” Sarge exclaimed after being abruptly dropped to the ground thanks to Spock’s nerve pinch. Picking up his rifle, Sarge would continue onwards, only sparing Meceliss a grunt and a passing glance as he did so.

"Who said I want to kill all of you!?" Elliot yelled, rubbing his neck and crouching down so that he could hold back against the force of his own tear. "Darth Vader alone would just be lovely~!"

Suddenly, Elliot let go, allowing himself to be pulled toward the tear. However, before he fell inside, he closed his hand into a fist, closing it. Below him was one of the dancers. Elliot slammed his foot down on the dancer's neck, who started to distort. "How dare you?" he asked the entity. "Was your goal to keep me trapped in some kind of illusion? A grave mistake was made. No one will ever hold me under their boot!"

Elliot held out a hand to the dancer and burned it out of existence. He then cried out in anger, tossing fire at the remaining dancers until none remained. The walls had fallen and everyone stood now in a courtyard, alone.
"We do not speak of this," Viktor declared in a demanding tone, mostly referring to his out-of-character actions. Frustrated with the machine that had tampered with his mind, he considered destroying the device once it became unimportant. Despite the brilliant technology, some of the features (even if they might have been glitches) were insults to the Glorious Evolution.

Blitzcrank went back to feeling nothing. If he could be sad, he would be.

"Looks like we are done here," Elliot said as he turned to leave this place, but he stopped upon seeing someone approaching from an archway. "I would suggest you stop now, unless you want me to destroy you."

The approaching individual was a middle-aged woman who looked rather calm considering the threat. She stared at the group evenly.

"I'm very sorry about all that," she said.

"Sorry?" Elliot barked out a short laugh. "You will be sorry when I am done with you. Were you the one affect our minds?"

The woman shook her head. "Your mind was not being affected, not exactly. In this world, you are nothing more than data. Your code was being overwritten, just temporarily, to conform to one of the pre-determined scenarios programmed into the ARK, where we are now. It was an accident, caused by corruption and degradation."

"Oh?" Elliot crossed his arms, peering curiously at the woman. "Interesting... what was all that then? An illusion?"

"No... more like, fake memories and a personality placed on top of your default self. It wasn't so effective on all of you due to the instability present within the ARK."

"Man..." James sighed and shrugged. "I don't really get all this at all."

"Listen," said the woman, sounding tired. "I am Dr. Catherine Chun and I haven't encountered real human beings such as yourselves in over two thousand years now."

“Oh, so you’re the one who knows where we are, huh?” Grif asked as he folded his arms.

“Well if you’d tell us more about where the hell we are, that’d be great. Cause as far as I’m aware, one second we were in some spaceship, then everyone finds this dumbass box, and the next thing I know we’re all inside of that box wandering around like a bunch of dumbasses.” Grif then paused and stared at her for a moment.

“...hold on. Did you say two thousand years? How the hell are you even still alive?”

Meceliss' vision blurred as Spock pinched the base of her neck. Losing her focus and dropping Sarge. She lost her balance for a moment, but kept herself from falling. She was about to talk against him, but decided to stop. He did make a point. She felt anger and it was influencing her thoughts and actions. She takes a moment, closing her eyes and calming down her breathing to short, deep breaths. Emptying her mind and slowly entering a light meditative state. After a long moment of silence from her end, she opens her eyes and nods quietly towards Spock. She then said more calmly "You're right... my apologies for my behavior. That was rash and uncalled for." she said towards Spock.

"That is absolutely absurd," Viktor replied, mildly shocked by the doctor's age, "What benefit does this 'ARK' have to humanity? So far it appears that it only serves as an immense waste of time." Evidently, he was more concerned about the machine itself rather than the person who might have suffered for two thousand years.

Blitzcrank was the one to express concern for the woman's well-being. Two thousand years is an unhealthy amount of time. "HAVE YOU BEEN HERE AGAINST YOUR WILL?" the automaton asked.

With a silent nod to Meceliss (and saying nothing to Sarge, finding his response satisfactory at least), Spock would continue following the data trail along with the others, the trail continuing to lead them down the sidewalk, before turning around the corner on the city's sidewalk, where the clumps of data suddenly stopped, another spatial distortion forming in the air right in front of them.

The amalgamated distortion was significantly smaller than when it took the form of the man, but still rather noticeable in the air, at least to the immediate group, as the blank crowd around everyone continued to idly pass by as though nothing was strange. Tilting his head curiously, the science officer could only stare at the new distortion.

"Fascinating... I wonder if we are able to open the file by simply interacting with it, just as we are able to interact with the people in here," Spock pondered to himself, curiously eyeing it.

"If we can open a file by interacting with it, perhaps we can modify them by imagining things," Starscream suggests.

Catherine looked to Grif. "I am like you, but without the limitations of a body. Though, I can not speak for how you encountered the ARK nor the circumstances in which you entered it. Truthfully, I did not expect the majority of you, the theoretical group in which I imagined to find the ARK, to be human as I understood them, for I am supposed to be the last of humankind."

She looked then to Blitzcrank, Viktor, and Mizelia next, considering all of their questions to be related. "...The ARK stands for the Augmented-Reality Capsule, though that was us reaching for a way to call it the 'ARK,' truthfully. The ARK was meant to be a time capsule that stored within it the last digitized remains of the human race, as the planet I come from, Earth, was ruined in a cataclysmic event. I've been here for even longer than mentioned, for I and the digital copy of another shot ourselves into space about five thousand years ago. Time is... different here, however."

"And where is this 'other?'" Elliot asked.

For once, Catherine showed emotion on her face. "He..." She looked downcast. "His being became corrupted about two thousand years ago, and there was nothing I could do. Once I lost him, the rest of the ARK started to degrade as well, leaving the glitches you have encountered."

As the illusion broke, Mizelia broke her isolation. She then quickly gathered energy through the Force. "That's enough, you two." Mizelia said, gathering the energy needed should the two switch their focus to her.

"Stop!" Mizelia said loudly towardsw Elliot. She tried to make a connection through the Force to Elliot. Slowly trying to mind trick him into stopping. "You will stop this at once." she said in a near monotone tone.

But before she can succeed, Elliot was already done and Mizelia found herself in a courtyard. She lets out a sigh as she lets go of the Force energy. This boy is going to be their death if he doesn't keep his emotions under control. She starts to walk tiwards Elliot. She looked at him disappointed "What where you thinking?! Going so far with your anger to even attack us! You need to keep your emotions in check, or you will get us all in serious danger." Mizelia said, seemingly somewhat angry and disappointed at the man. Yet, Vader could sense from Mizelia that she wasn't trully angry at him, but she was very disappointed.

Emily was quite winded from the whole ordeal, but she was at least glad that Elliot hadn't gotten anyone killed in the process. Though, not long after, a mysterious woman approached them, explaining the nature of this world, and why it was created; to preserve what remained of the human race, in a virtual environment. Something about this prospect seemed a little familiar to her, but she couldn't quite explain how; another memory her stone is probably suppressing.

There were thousands upon thousands of questions brimming in Emily's mind, but there was one that bothered her the most, something that she had to know... For the better or worse.

cV6zlAu.png

"What happened... To Earth?" She asked.

Admittedly, Emily would be lying to herself if she tried to tell herself she wasn't scared, especially considering that the event took place thousands of years ago... But... She had to know, considering her fears that her home planet may also be at risk, alongside Alledia. Perhaps there was some sort of correlation?

"Dude, we came in here voluntarily," James said, looking at Grif. "Wait, will it be a problem for us to leave with all that corruption?"

"If that was the case, I will just burn this world to the ground," Elliot said, waiting for Catherine to answer.

"I don't really understand," Catherine said. She did not seem perturbed by what Elliot said. "Did you not make digital copies of yourselves in order to enter the ARK?"

"Liara said our minds or whatever are just here temporarily."

"Is that so?" Catherine crossed her arms, looking pensive. "I guess if you had the means... Well, regardless, if there are more of you outside the ARK, they should be able to remove you at some point I imagine. Truthfully, you should have been able to interface with the ARK without entering it, but I suppose the degradation has removed that option."

Catherine then sighed upon hearing Emily's question. "A comet impacted the planet. There was nothing that could be done."
