"As good as ever." Vert exclaimed as she took another sip of her tea. "Hmm. I actually wonder, how did you perform? I spotted you out in space while I stayed on the Bridge."



"I hope our appearance didn't affect your research, Liara was it?" Vert asked, overhearing Liara and watched her scan Starscream with the Omni-tool. "For Scientific purposes, would you mind if I took a look around where you work? My citizens back home would love a sample of this Universe's technology if at all possible. Which reminds me, I still need to ask someone on the discovery if I can also take a sample..."

"Well considering we're currently at war, your arrival didn't do much to distract me," Liara replied. "And of course, there are some...delicate information, but I don't see any harm if you want to come and see," Liara was ready to leave when she turned around. "And you don't mind a mess."

Motioning Vert to follow they just went around the corner to a door that opened to reveal Liara's current work space. Before Vert could step inside Liara moved over to a console.

"Just to be on the safe side." She looked up again and gave Vert a friendly smile. "Feel free to look around, and please ask if there's something you want to know."​

Peter was happy that his shoulder was cured, so he walked over and stood by Elliot. " So, whatever you are experiencing can't be found here? Is it some sort of drug that is exclusive to your 'dimension'?" He asked, looking over at him. He was actually curious and felt it was better than sitting there and letting his own thoughts stir.

"Not funny..." Krystal said, looking away. "Great... I'm making more foes if anything on this godforsaken trip to hell that I was unwilling to go on but basically was dragged into."

Elliot was not impressed with Nathan's attempt at connecting with him. He understood why the other boy was doing it, for it wasn't like Elliot had never attempted to relate to the boys and girls he'd read about growing up. In truth, those had just been made up nonsense, while Nathan probably didn't understand the first thing about what Elliot had been through.

"For your information, Nathan, I still doubt you have been locked in a tower the majority of your life by a tyrant, or lost that which you loved the most, or--"

He cut himself off, realizing he was saying too much. He huffed and kept silent for the moment.

He looked between Nathan and Krystal as they fought, finding it curious that either had wanted him alive. In their shoes, he would not have been so lenient. Was everyone as weak as Elliot thought?

What Emily said caught Elliot's attention and he looked at her in surprise. "It controls you?" he asked. "How so? Where did it come from?" Before she could answer, however, in came Quill to ask questions that Elliot would have knocked him around for asking was he able to.

"It is not drugs, such a term does not apply here. I would not expect a fool to understand." His glance caught Rin as well, aiming this toward her. "It is power, pure and simple, and to get more of it, I need to get out of this infernal bed and away from this awful ship!"

Lieutenant Adams blinked at Flower's lack of effort in lifting the debris. "Uh, yeah, that would be ideal," he said, before turning and giving Sarge an unimpressed look. "I honestly can't tell if you're making a joke. I will assume you are." He sighed once again, looking down and pressing a few buttons on his omni-tool.

"You all may be responsible for the damage, but I'm not holding a grudge. If you help out, I might be able to offer you some obsolete omni-tools as compensation. No one in their right mind among the crew would use them, but that shouldn't matter to you, right?"

A look of understanding flashed across her face as Elliot spoke to Nathan; while she hadn't been trapped in a tower per say... She was trapped by her stone... Bound to its power, and influence for the better or worse. Perhaps if it hadn't been for the event that had changed her life more than two years ago... She wouldn't have so readily accepted the stone's power when Grandfather passed, but now... There was no turning back.

Nonetheless, she seemed a little more uncomfortable as she was pressed on about the stone's influence, but... She pushed past it, and continued speaking, seeming to cock a brow at what he mentioned he was feeling withdrawal from. If it wasn't a drug then... Perhaps it was closer to her stone magic than she thought, although... She wasn't so sure if one could experience withdrawal from not using stone magic... As she had witnessed someone functioning just fine after their stone was destroyed in battle.

However, killing a stone was rarely easy... And she still wasn't too sure how she managed it the one time she had witnessed it first hand. Regardless, she decided to focus on answering Elliot's questions as best as she could.

"... It tries to. Whenever I'm not carefull with my powers... Or I feel desperate... Like I'm about to give up... It speaks to me... Asks me to give control to it... But... Every time I can remember... I fight it." She explained, then stopped, not sure if she should elaborate further on what would happen if she did lose control of her stone.

While Emily had been told of what happens when a stone keeper loses control of their stone... She had only witnessed two instances; one where the keeper completely lost their mind... And another, where they became the stone's pawn... Until he was discarded, when he no longer was of use to the voice.

Then, she thought of the second thing Elliot had asked her, about where the stone came from... Which was a bit more difficult to answer; her head hurt as she tried to recall too much, beyond the bare bones basics.

"A gem. The people of Alledia call it the 'mother stone'. They found it centuries ago when they first settled on the planet... But... There's not alot of it left." She said, though... She seemed a little uneasy all of a sudden.

This was most of what she knew about the origins of the stones, but there was something she felt like she was forgetting... An important detail that escaped her recollection, not just about the origins of the Mother stone, but the reason it might have been discovered by Alledia's settlers in the first place...​

She stated, speaking calm and composed. "Although, to a Goddess, I don't think I could use such technology myself, I'm much more proficient in the style of Lancery. Speaking of which... Hmm. Most of the weaponry used here from what I've seen from exploring the ship appear to be guns, are there any Lances or Swords in this Universe? Particularly ones that might resemble... this?" She exclaimed and then asked, as she spawned forth her Lance in front of Liara to show her:

❝ Better than nothing, plus simpler for me I guess. ❞ Flower shrugged after lowering some of the debris to a space away from the repairs. Not that saying she was in need of any extra tools, Flower was fine with having something just in case. Handy to have a spare tool.

❝ Ah-! ❞ The Vocaloid gasped a bit as she tried to grab some more debris, but instinctively pulled her hand back to see that she's scraped her arm a bit. A small tear into the artificial skin was present, and exposing a bit of metal that made up her arm's inside. Well, that was troublesome, but she tried to ignore it as she continued to assist with the clean-up.

Liara looked over the spear for a moment. "I don't think anyone really uses weapons like this anymore." It had been quite awhile since Liara had seen a weapon like this being used in actual combat, but she was fascinated by the design of it. "Sorry that I can't be of much help in that department. Liara looked around her office. "I'm not quite sure..." She looked down at her arm and thought of something. "Well I do have one of my old omni-tools in here somewhere..." Liara got up to go and look for it. As she was searching she decided to reply to Vert's question. "Lots of things, but I don't think we have the time considering the circumstances. Multiversal travel being possible will hold me over for the time being. Ah! There it is." Liara got up and handed Vert her very own omni-tool. Vert mimicked Liara's motions and successfully put the Omni-tool on her right arm. And then followed along with the hand motion to turn it on, revealing the Orange Omni-tool Gauntlet display as well as it's interface. "Very interesting... And there is indeed a manual... This interface is surprisingly easy to understand and comprehend. I shall have quite the time figuring out this piece of technology. Thank you very much, Liara." Vert responded with a bow in respect, and turned the Omni-tool off to discover that it goes invisible once deactivated. "Interesting... it's like I never owned one... Very nice. Well. I shall be taking my leave. Thank you very much, Liara for the kind tour of your workplace." And with that, she exited the room back into the Crew Quarters.

Nathan's expression fell flat.

"It felt like I've been locked up in a damn tower," he spoke low, he fidgeted with his hands. Nathan really wanted to make allies with Elliot, that the boy would understand him, but like most he's being pushed away. The anger and frustration faded into a bit of sadness pinging in Nathan's chest.

"Uuuh," Again she whipped out her omni-tool for a quick scan of the Decepticon. Whatever type of machine it was it had to be quite flexible and limber to get through everywhere on the Normandy. "Yes, well, as good as the situation calls for I suppose."

"Is there a reason why we wouldn't be?" Vader asked Starscream.​

Elliot considered what Emily was saying, thinking it over as he moved to sit up on the bed. He felt aches and pains but otherwise was able to get himself out of the blanket. "I... hrm." He rubbed the back of his neck and exhaled. "Sounds like a symbiotic relationship. Considering the strength it gives you, can you really not appreciate that?" He turned to look Emily straight in the eyes. "That is why you cannot be weak. The stone does not control you; you control the stone, do you understand? It is a simple philosophy and one you should start embracing." Elliot then turned in the bed and tossed his legs off the bed.

"Your help continues to go unheeded," he said to Quill, placing his feet on the ground.

"Go on then," Chakwas said, "you seem to have gotten your strength back at least."

"Careful now..." Steve said, ready to grab Elliot if he fell.

The boy rolled his eyes at the concern. "A substance called ADAM," he said, gently stepping off the bed. "That's what I ingest to alter my genetic code and gain the majority of the power I have now." He grunted as he faltered in his step slightly.

Adams directed the pair where they should be moving the debris, though he seemed distracted with his omni-tool. He did not notice at first, that when a piece of debris lifted by Flower was lifted, an open wire began shooting out sparks. He almost walked right on to it but jumped back in time with a gasp.

"Damn! That smarts." He muttered to himself. "Not sure I have the gel for this on me. Any of you able to deal with this?"

Nathan watched as Elliot got out of the infirmary bed, listening as he spoke of this 'ADAM' drug, he was intrigued by it.

When Elliot tripped slight, Nathan caught him- out of reflex more than anything, due do their heigth difference and the fact Nathan was sitting, he caught him by his waist.

Elliot seethed as Nathan caught him. Steve held his hands up, seeing Nathan get to the boy first. Elliot roughly pushed away from Nathan, managing to recover his balance. He was tired of these circumstances making him look weak. "I want off this ship," he declared. "One of you, tell me, have they made any progress on getting us home or are we hopelessly trapped in yet another universe?"

Nothing much... ❞ Flower said this in more of an attempt to convince herself, but of course, this definitely felt like how humans feel pain upon being scraped in the same manner. Well, Stardust convinced her otherwise. She had a feeling she should get this dealt with soon, having no idea if it'll get worse once forgotten about.

Adams shrugged. "Well, how about I show you one thing the old omni-tools can do," he said, reaching into his pocket. He pulled out a small device and handed it to flower. "Just attach that to your wrist. You basically flick your wrist whenever you want to turn it on. If we had omni-gel, we could seal this sucker up, but for now, just try using it to assess the damage. It should be able to give you a light diagnostics." He lifted his arm. "Mine, as a newer model, would tell me more of course."
