Schala and Ampfibian would find nothing particularly wrong with the water, though as a few of the group moved closer to the front of the building, they would hear voices. Many voices. Almost like a small army's worth. There was also quite a bit of wreckage around, with rises in the earth. And debris laying all about. Had this building not been here originally?

"As quiet as possible, everyone, as quiet as possible."

Ampfibian used his flexibility to swim and stealth about, undetected. As he neared, he prepared to use his intangibility to hide in places where any suspecting member of the supposed army would not think to look, sensing them via their electrical currents and synapses.

"Hmmmm... what if..."

As he closed in, he decides to check if the Omnitrix registered members of the army as an unidentified species.

Being rather small and nimble (and really not trusting these people to not get themselves killed), Severa had reluctantly followed along for the scouting mission. "Climbing into what, the factory or the cars?" Though she did get a bit of an idea... "Hey, are there any openings to the factory higher up? What if we brought cars over there and used the to get some height? Even if abandoned wheels should work, right?"

Ben would find that there seemed to be no inorganic readings...though he would find that two soldiers in particular were headed their way. Everyone would be able to hear that they seemed to be lost in conversation.

Ampfibian communed to his allies.

"Hide..."

Ampfibian would continue to hide via his intangibility as the soldiers approached, keen on hearing what they they had to say and on standby for ambush.

He wanted them in a spot where it would not be easy to get backup...

Once he had heard what they had to say and once they were where he wanted them to be - out of sight of other soldiers - Ampfibian would wrap his watery tentacles around the two soldiers, and using his intangibility and lack of bone structure to infiltrate to their armour's defenses, he would start by covering their mouths so that they would not scream.

That was when his face popped up in front of them.

"Boo."

Immediately after, the alien jellyfish would release an electric shock upon them to knock them unconscious!

"What am I? 12? You hide!" Frank just casually slid to the side a bit, if these soldiers were stupid enough to let this kid get the drop on him he was going to have a front seat to it.

While she had thought they found the Great Spirit's hideout, what Schala saw now proved her wrong. Fortunately, the water seemed relatively harmless, but looking over the building, she too noticed how out of place it seemed. Like it originally had been somewhere else, and the fact that there were countless voices in the distance. A small army. Perhaps an invasion force?

As Ben told her to hide, she nodded silently... Keeping as low of a profile as possible as she prepared to jump in and help if things got dicey.​

“I’m not quite sure all those cars are in working condition, love,” Austin said as he walked over to one of the vehicles and lightly kicked the driver side door. “Looks like they’ve been left to rot here for ages.”

"They don't have to work. We might be able to stack them upon one another. Or use them as a floating platform. I can try to do that, I am capable of telekinesis."

“Oh, telekinesis of course. Sometimes I forget I’m the only normal human here,” he muttered as he put his pistol away. “Well, if you count an unbelievably attractive super spy as normal, that is.”

He chuckled but got serious once more soon after. “Seriously I think you’re going to be the only one that can lift that car, unless I haven’t kept tabs on what everyone can do.”

 

[Sleepwalker]

Unfolding her arms, Kitty walked towards the car, looking up to see if there was an opening anywhere. Actually, that was a lie, Kitty looked up to avoid other's eyes.

"Be quiet, please. I...sensed it. I saw...those people, the people we saw in the park. I feel like whatever's going on in there, it relates to them. And yes, there IS something going on inside. This factory's no empty, barren, sterile building, something's inside."

Even though she knew it wasn't real, Kitty could nearly taste the black filth in her mouth, that was how vivid her vision was. Surely, it was accurate, right? She quickly took out her Blilbiotheca gem, and sighed in relief as the little gem calmed her down, and took away the unwelcome, inaccurate visions. It was a bit like a pain relief drug really....that didn't sound healthy.

"We could do this the old-fashioned way."

Kitty held something in her hand: Her other trick, the Corpus ruby. It could conjure things at will....although really, she doubt she could take anything out of the currently mahogany gem that was too big. She could focus more of her energy on it....but Kitty wasn't about to do something so taxing if they weren't even going to use it.

"I can take out some of those classic hook and rope kind of things, if it turns out one of you do not have the balance to go on a car. And well....if you can't find any opening....we can always just create one ourselves. With picks and all. I CAN also help if we do the telekinesis route but don't be surprised if I pass out."

Ludger nodded with the assessment to do some scouting and Eleanor agreed to join them. Going around the building offered little in the way of anything useful, at least at first. This particular building was quite large and had multiple entrances, but most were sealed or blocked with wreckage. Some old abandoned cars sat silently in the parking lot. "I wonder if we could climb to find a window or... something," Elanor mused.

The vision Kitty conjured was hard to discern. A black filth, probably more metaphorical than literal, obscured what could be gleaned. At the very least, there was activity inside, and a peculiar image of the same cloaked individua; the group had seen a vision of back in the park.

Kitty rolled her eyes, as she leaned against a wall, and looked at the so called normal people. These people weren't normal, at least, not in her sense. If they weren't already dead, then surely they've done something to avoid being killed by supernatural means, and that, in itself, is special. Especially the obnoxiously British spy. Spies weren't normal.

"You're not normal, just that everyone else is extraordinary. Besides, I don't see any difference anyways, people with no powers tend to be liked more to balance things. Also, to answer your question, believe my visions if you don't want to, but SOMETHING'S inside there. If we decide to go in through the entrance, then it might be set with traps. I'm not saying the windows aren't dangerous, but protecting the big opening should be number one priority."

She placed her hand against the wall, remembering her vision: The feeling of activity, and a strange cloaked person, like a ghost.

"To be honest....if we have a person who could teleport, I would say they should be the one to scout the factory without setting off an entrance trap....ugh. Why did I even say that."

"Keep in mind that some kind of force led us here," Ludger said to the others. "We have to decide if that force was benevolent or... you know, bad." He rubbed the back of his neck. "If they had the power to teleport us here, seems odd they didn't deliberately hurt us. They probably could have. There might not be a trap at all."

There was no proper window that Deoxys could find, but there was a shutter door on the roof that was ever-so-slightly ajar, allowing one to possibly pull it up.

Eleanor agreed with the plan to move the abandoned vehicles and got to work quickly. She twirled her spear in the air, summoning magical energy around her that conjured a strong gust of wind. Many of the vehicles were gutted, making them easier to push along the ground so that a few were resting up against the side of the factory.

"If that helps," she said.

"I don't think we should underestimate them," his companion replied. "For all we know, they sent that kid to kill us all. I really don't know why the boss wanted her alive..."

"Yeah, I don't get it, either. Didn't seem like the 'take no prisoners' type. But I guess when you got the-"

"Shh!" The guard motioned to the fiery glow from Frank. "You see that?"

❝ Alright, so if we juuust get up on these rusty old cars... ❞ Majima figured to check things out, thinking that he should be able to handle any weird things that could happen with trying to get into the factory or at least a better look. So he quickly got to work on climbing onto the repositioned cars against the wall. Nothing could go wrong, right?

"Aaaah.... shucks." Ampfibian speaks as he drags the guards towards the hiding spot, scratching his head with one of his free ones. He then analyzes their uniforms to identify their faction.

"Well, I'd feel a little better if it turns out I captured enemies and not... well... allies. I'll just pretend that I wasn't the decently-sized tentacle monster that attacked them. Ahahaha..."

The tentacle monster that was Ben 10 was having a bit of a freakout moment here, as if channeling his internal Twilight Sparkle, as evidenced by his shrunken green pupils swirling around his widened black schleras. If he had a mouth, it would probably be gaping with the most pretentious laughter attempting to disguise a mistake.

If he was unable to identify their uniforms or emblem, he would commlink Fiamma for the answers he wanted.

"Cultists... Do they mean the Revanchist...?" Schala whispered quietly, thinking to herself.

Seeing Ben trying to figure out who the patrols were, she decided to put her trust in him. Although, she had intended to do her own investigating, at least before Will prepared to enter the building.

Realizing it would blow their cover instantly, she quickly moved to restrain Will before she could draw attention to them.

"Wait! We don't know who they are! Or what they want! They may not be our enemies!" She hissed quietly, trying her best to keep her voice low.

In the event something did happen though, Schala was prepared to retaliate...​

Will stopped when Schala had tried to resrain her, just barely stopping herself from cutting the girl in two. War Song was dismissed instantly and its owner slightly calmed. Will let her body language reset before she moved the other girl's hand from her shoulder before she addressed her in a quiet but firm tone.

"For all we know, they're the ones holding The Great Spirit. I can't let another one die. Not again. The sooner we save it is the sooner we get out of here."

The uniforms were definitely none that belonged to any allying faction that Ben would recognize. Though there was one interesting detail: an emblem sewn onto the chest:

Ampfibian briefly turned to the side. He just stretched two of his tentacles, wrapped them around the girls, covering Will's mouth in particular and pulled them back into proper hiding.

"Wanna continue your conversation out of sight of those guys? Also, I'm sorta trying to contact Fiamma here... this logo on the guards isn't any of ours... if we rush, there will be no us to save the Great Spirits... so stop rushing things before any of us regrets anything.

Frank looked over he emblem. "Yeah, can't say it rings any bells. Guess we gotta be careful huh gang?" Frank really just wanted to go in and bust some head. He knew he could do it the others probably knew that he could but the old Frank Castle inside of him was whispering in his ear to wait, an unknown foe is not someone you just go into. You wait, you assess and then you kill every sorry sob that happens to come your way.

Majima thankfully did not encounter any major obstacles in his climb. In fact, he was soon with both Deoxys and Eleanor on top of the roof. "If this is the only way in..." she said absently, reaching down to pull the shutter door upward. She sighed at how dark it was inside and stepped a bit inside. "I'm going to look for a way down, could someone help me?"
