She would have liked to say she wasn't officially with them, but rather the M.E.U., but it probably mattered little in the end -- when she was collaborating with them and the other organizations -- especially given the situation at hand here.

"In any case, we should--" She began, before seeing the troves of armed soldiers appear before them all; it didn't take too much critical thinking to piece together that the Revanchist was hot on their trail, and evidently managed to find Celsius of their own accord.

"Revanchist?! They move fast...! We can't let them past here!" Riesbyfe exclaimed urgently, materializing her trusty shield Gamaliel.

Glancing down at Little My briefly on her shoulder, the knight let out a short breath. "If you say so, little one. Still, stay close just in case," she said, before refocusing her attention on the matter at hand, her brow furrowing. It seemed that on top of reuniting with the other group, two groups had reached their position at the same time; the boy's other friends from the sound of it, and the Revanchist themselves. Things were about to get crowded very soon.

"Stand fast! They may have the advantage in numbers, but a performance isn't composed with just one note!"

Whatever that meant.

Wolf wasted no time the moment he heard enemy soldiers descending on his position. As Lancer leaped into the midst of them, the ninja dashed to the sidelines in the blink of an eye, catching a distracted Revanchist soldier off-guard. Holding Kusabimaru like a dagger, he impaled the grunt through the neck with a downward strike, stabbing clean through the majority of his torso. He would barely have enough time to scream as Sekiro withdrew the blade, a strange magic absorbing most of the victim's blood. It swirled ravenously around his sword as he dashed into the fray once more. With every slash, a red trace of blood followed, extending its reach and cleaving through the crowd. Those who tried to guard against Sekiro would do so successfully against his physical blade, but the energy lashing off of it chipped through their defense, appearing to be spiritual in nature.

Jack would find Chise beside him to help clear the enemy's numbers with her left arm much bulkier and appearing almost wood-like in appearance as it threw Revanchist soldiers left and right or tore them to pieces with ease.

He does pride himself on timing and is terrible with magic.” He took a deep breath, and channeled his lightning powers with an added flare of Arcade’s powers of Arson. He knew it was dangerous to access these powers. None of them were good. Arson, Robbery, Conspirary, Assault, Dishonesty and Extoration. But he also knew that even the worst things could be used for good. And that was just what he was going to do. He did however turn back to Ries. “Hey, if I ever seem like I am losing myself to some sort of darkness, knock me on the back of the head.”

Jack gave Chise a tip of his hat. "Much apreciated, miss." Revanchist forces were being downed left and right, and Jack felt himself get confident. There we go. Crowd was lightening up. They were gonna save Celcius just like they saved Volt, and--

Jack had been so caught up in thie fight he was unaware of someone creeping up behind him. He fell to the ground as a dagger was pulled out of its place between his shoulder blades, laced with an unusual black and pink substance. The soldier looked around, seeing what other Coalition forces he could take on, before settling on Chise and lunging for her!

"You're not wrong there," Yuri said, as he and the rest of Brave Vesperia led the group in a sprint toward Halure.

Rose led the group through the village and toward the giant tree, eventually winding through a couple of twisted roots and down into a small cavernous space under the tree. Roots covered the top of the space and flowers bloomed all over.

A boy ran up to the group, carrying a big hammer.

"Woah, there's a lot of you," he said. Trotting up next to him was a dog.

The dog let out a small sniff and watched the group intently. He took a moment to check on the unconscious Clark, his snout poking at his face.

"You trust them, Rose?" asked the boy.

"I understand your trepidation concerning the Coalition, Karol, but they are your best chance now," Rose said. She then nodded behind the boy. "The barrier will spare Halure the gunfire of the airship, but your enemies are right on us."

Jude looked to where Rose had nodded, seeing a wall of vines obscuring something just beyond. Celsius, he wondered?

It was then, of course, that multiple pairs of feet landed on the roots above. Soldiers began to pour through the roots, their weapons at the ready. As the group prepared to fight, another group arrived.

"Karol, Repede!" cried a raven-haired man. "We're here!"

Bayonetta had some still choice words to say to Raven for deceiving them but for the moment they had to wait. She'd have to investigate about this RIta girl when they returned to base. How come she hadn't heard about it?

Either way as the Revanchist descended on the Bayonetta was itching for a fight. "Come along then, children! Mommy's going to give you a very hard spanking!"

Wanda meanwhile had been listening to Rose as they had traveled along. She was still a bit dazed, mostly likely a concussion, after the crash but she didn't want to worry anyone at the moment. The mission was far more important for the time being. "We already face them once!" She shouted as the Revanchist soldiers started to emerge from above them. "We can not let them get the Great Spirit!"

"You're welcome." Chise smiled, before getting back to business and thrusted her arm forward and tearing into another Revanchist soldier.

Something was wrong in the air, something was off and she could sense it, but not pinpoint it.

"?!" She gasped when she noticed Jack down, but before she could rush to his side she nearly didn't catch the soldier charging at her until the last minute, throwing up her left arm to block his attack and then push him back with a wide swipe of her arm.

"Hup!" Then she grabbed another Revanchist soldier nearby and threw them at him before kneeling next to Jack, worry on her face as she checked over the wound.

"Ugh...just hang in there!" She hissed softly, pulling her hand away upon touching the dark almost liquid like substance in the wound.

'Okay, it's not deep, but what should I do?' she thought as she glanced around. She couldn't exactly purify it like she purified the blight in that lake all that time ago on her world, this was different and inside a person,, she didn't want to risk bringing anymore harm to Jack by trying to help him. She wished she had made some kind of medicines to bring with her beforehand, but she doubted that would've helped either. Punching one Revanchist soldier who got too close away with her dragon arm, Chise touched near the wound again.

Focusing on the malice outside of the wounds opening specifically, she'd try to get rid of and cleanse it. Any that got into his bloodstream she wouldn't be able to get to, so she'd let a medic deal with that afterwards. Right now she was going to try and do what she could, and just hope for the best.

"Like a dandelion lifting it seed to the wind.
Then firmly rooted, sprouting.
As the parting wind, blowing to the unknown destiantion." she spoke the incantation, hoping it worked as intended for the most part and turn the targeted malice into petals that would drift away.

Wolf flicked the last of the blood off of his blade after thinning out a number of them. He was about to finish off some stragglers until he noticed Jack's injury. It appeared that he wasn't the only one capable of sneak attacks. Instead of rushing over to treat the wound, however, he found it more important to kill his competitor first.

"Hup!" Then she grabbed another Revanchist soldier nearby and threw them at him before kneeling next to Jack, worry on her face as she checked over the wound.

His prosthetic arm creaked and groaned as he quickly installed a folded-up spear. Meanwhile, the assassin barely managed to side-step the body that Chise had thrown at him, but in doing so, made it easier for Sekiro to impale him.

Sparks flew as the hook-spear unfolded into a functional weapon and extended into the soldier's body, locking him in place and taking his breath away. Immediately, Wolf yanked the lance back, bringing his victim closer. Just before the spear retracted completely, Wolf quickly slashed with his sword in order to get himself out of dagger range and break the grunt's posture. Taking advantage of the opening, he positioned his katana onto the enemy's torso, put his palm on the very end of the grip, and drove it straight into the poisoner's rotten heart.

Blood spewed everywhere as he fell back, but Sekiro hardly blinked, treating this as if it was just a daily routine.​

The poisonous assassin was quickly dealt with, and Lancer made sure to grab that dagger away from the battlefield in order to keep other Revanchist from using it against them. Unfortunately, he was not the only to fall: Cordelia had also been struck by his blade.

It was as Chise expected, her spell would at least cleanse the Malice visible. "Don't worry about me, Miss," he grunted. "I've gone through worse...but the Great Spirit...!"

"Your assailants won't know where we have gone, however this village is the closest landmark from their position," Rose said. "We can not elude this enemy." Rose then turned to take in the view of the giant tree.

"This landmark is the last dregs of the technology that was once present in this world," she said , an edge of awe in her voice. "The tree itself acts as a barrier to beasts and aggressors. Unfortunately for us all, it will do little to stop those who seek to do the Great Spirit harm. We will have to conduct a desperate stand."

She looked back to the group. "Let us hope it is not a last stand. Come with me."

Rose started to move, bringing the group closer to the base of the giant tree.

"Thank you," Yuri said, his voice tight. Milla did not understand the situation exactly, though felt it was perhaps beyond her. Humans had a tendency to miss the bigger picture she had found, but she would do what she could for these people when the time was appropriate.

"What is that?" Milla asked, spotting some kind of machine flying in the sky above Halure.

"Looks like trouble to me," Yuri said. "We gotta get going!"

"You seem rather familiar with young mage girls yourself, Sir Lancer, if I do say so myself," Riesbyfe said to Cu, her fellow... universe-mate. Indeed, even though she was more affiliated with the Church back home, perpetually "on bad terms with the Association" as described by a certain red-haired magician, not even she was oblivious to the names of the Three Founding Families, their current heirs, or over on the side, the Edelfelts. And on the Church's side, there was Executor Ciel, and even Sion started her alchemy career at a young age.

Oh, Sion. Dear Sion... To think that in a way, Riesbyfe was in this mess because of her. The knight who "died" protecting her from the horror of Night of Wallachia, whose soul was claimed by Diablo during what later became known as "Point Zero," (quite exciting frankly to be marked down in multiversal history) and here she was now, drifting around, a woman out of time and place in her own world. Still, if nothing else, she could only hope that Sion was safe, taking full advantage of the life given to her, and not engaging in the affairs of multiverse mayhem.

... If only Riesbyfe knew.

When Rose had suddenly beamed them to Halure -- their destination -- before she knew it, Riesbyfe blinked in surprise, needing to take a moment. Of course, she knew full well (on paper, at least) about how differently things worked in the multiverse. Transportation magecraft on this scale was practically unheard of in her world, yet this so-called witch had taken them all here without much effort. And yet, she could hardly be afforded enough time to even marvel at anything, be it the town of Halure nor Rose's power.

She had to focus on the mission.

As she began following Rose, the younger girl leading everyone toward the giant tree, Ries looked toward Billy as he asked about the still out-of-it Clark that she was lugging along. "That'd be nice, wouldn't it? Looks like he doesn't take magical attacks very well however," she sighed, setting Clark down on a nearby bench, before dusting off her gloved hands.

"Whether or not he wakes up in a timely manner is up to him. But I'm sure should he choose to, he'll arrive if we need him. That's what he prides himself on, at least," the young woman breathed lightly, a trace of a whimsical smile almost present on her lips as she hopped back with the rest of the group.

It wasn't long after Reiner nodded at Rose's words that he saw the Revanchist began to make their way through the barrier, swarming the tree. Taking note of the wall of vines Jude had spotted, nodding quietly in a silent moment of affirmation.

Making sure Lapis was secured to his back, Reiner closed his eyes, concentrating on how he would form his titan body this time. He had to protect Lapis, and the most efficient way was to titanshift with her on his back.

But if something went wrong. If he miscalculated, this could very well put both of them in danger.

"No matter what... I'll protect the great spirit! Like before, I'll be your shield!" He declared.

And with one quick motion, not bothering to draw his combat knife this time, he moved to a clear enough area amidst the forest, and bit down.

An explosion of light lit up the forest, as Reiner once more transformed into a titan, his hulking form moving to block the way to the Great Spirit.

But even as he unleashed hell on the Revanchist forces approaching, crushing, kicking, and throwing wherever possible, his attention was a little split; he was listening for signs of approaching airships and other such reinforcements. Considering the devastating power Dhaos' airship unleashed, he knew he would have to take such a weapon down before it had a chance to fire.

"GROAAAAAAAAH!!!"

His titan let out a thundering shout, as if challenging the Revanchist forces, but his true goal was to defend the great spirit, alongside Lapis, who he was protecting just like his own body; concealed in his nape, covered with his titan's armor.​

As the group exited the forest, they came out to a large, grassy plain. In the distance was a giant tree surrounded by a small village. "Y'see it?" Raven said, taking a few steps forward. It was then that a figure descended from above and clashed with Milla. The woman conjured her sword and parried the figure's own sword blow.

Milla let out an exasperated sound.

"What--?"

An arrow embedded into the ground in front of Milla. She looked at Raven, who had pulled out a bow and aimed it at the group. The figure, a long-haired man with dark purple hair, looked unimpressed.

"So this is the Coalition," he said.

James had drawn his revolver at the man as he fired the arrow. As he notices that Raven aimed a bow at the group, he drew Maria and aimed the 9mm pistol at Raven. "Double-crossing snake." He muttered under his breath as he glared at Raven.

As weapons were drawn Bayonetta conjured her pistols into her hands as well. "Of course you were a mole. I knew it from the start. I just don't understand who you managed to pull it off."

"Sorry lady," Raven replied bow still pulled at the group. "Can't reveal all of my secrets."

"Well if it's any consolation," Raven replied. "It's probably not as bad as you think it is."

Suddenly from above, Bayonetta backflipped out of the way when a woman with a spear landed where the umbra witch just had stood. "He's right."

"We just have a few questions to ask."

He has very little patience with traitors. And as such, he puts the revolver back and activates the V.A.T.S. and targets Raven and opened fire on her.

"I understand your trepidation concerning the Coalition, Karol, but they are your best chance now," Rose said. She then nodded behind the boy. "The barrier will spare Halure the gunfire of the airship, but your enemies are right on us."

Jude looked to where Rose had nodded, seeing a wall of vines obscuring something just beyond. Celsius, he wondered?

It was then, of course, that multiple pairs of feet landed on the roots above. Soldiers began to pour through the roots, their weapons at the ready. As the group prepared to fight, another group arrived.

"Karol, Repede!" cried a raven-haired man. "We're here!"

James followed quietly along, but it was obvious he had no trust for this 'guild'.

"So, this isn't your first run-in with the Coalition then? Their influence reaches further than I thought. I know not of your consternation with them, but I must ask you to trust us. The fate of the multiverse depends on it, after all," Riesbyfe said pointedly to the boy.

She would have liked to say she wasn't officially with them, but rather the M.E.U., but it probably mattered little in the end -- when she was collaborating with them and the other organizations -- especially given the situation at hand here.

"In any case, we should--" She began, before seeing the troves of armed soldiers appear before them all; it didn't take too much critical thinking to piece together that the Revanchist was hot on their trail, and evidently managed to find Celsius of their own accord.

"Revanchist?! They move fast...! We can't let them past here!" Riesbyfe exclaimed urgently, materializing her trusty shield Gamaliel.

Glancing down at Little My briefly on her shoulder, the knight let out a short breath. "If you say so, little one. Still, stay close just in case," she said, before refocusing her attention on the matter at hand, her brow furrowing. It seemed that on top of reuniting with the other group, two groups had reached their position at the same time; the boy's other friends from the sound of it, and the Revanchist themselves. Things were about to get crowded very soon.

"Stand fast! They may have the advantage in numbers, but a performance isn't composed with just one note!"

Whatever that meant.

James switches to the CZ57 Avenger (it's a minigun) and opens fire with it, spraying bullets towards the Revanchists.

The poisonous assassin was quickly dealt with, and Lancer made sure to grab that dagger away from the battlefield in order to keep other Revanchist from using it against them. Unfortunately, he was not the only to fall: Cordelia had also been struck by his blade.

It was as Chise expected, her spell would at least cleanse the Malice visible. "Don't worry about me, Miss," he grunted. "I've gone through worse...but the Great Spirit...!"

"We won't let anything hurt the Great Spirit, but I'm not going to leave you here while all the fightings going on either." Chise responded, before trying to pick Jack up as gently as possible with her dragon arm.

"Sorry if this jostles you too much." She added as she moved closer to where the Great Spirit was and where it was a bit clearer of the fighting going on to gently set Jack down, before turning to quickly take out any Revanchist that slipped through the others in all the fighting.

Sometimes I wonder if Bern was a better fit for this than you, but we share similar wants so I can't argue that part. Anddd there! I think I did my best to reinforce your heart despite the... missing bits, yeah! I can't do so much for you while you're on the Coalition job and all, since I'm all the way at the Metaworld still. Just be careful, alright? I'm already stressed out as is.

Yeah yeah, you go help your coworkers. Should be regaining consciousness, but I couldn't do much about healing you up so you'll feel really sore first thing. Alright, Lambdadelta out!

❝ ...ngh. ❞ Lapis started to stir, weakly composing herself after her Miracle-powered stunt earlier. Almost like having a heavy hangover, she was practically out of it. She didn't exactly question on what was going on or where she was. Her eyes weakly opened and stared for someone or something she could recognize. It didn't take long, her vision was blurring from the after-feeling of the supposed "drunkness."

Little My eyed up the Revanchists as they came forward.

“Time to finally be of some use!” Little My shouted, before jumping off of Ries and grabbing a Revanchist by the face. She sunk her teeth into the soldier’s nose before jumping off, ripping the soldier’s nose right off his face!

Little My spat out the nose as she landed on the ground. She perched herself back on Ries’s shoulder, however, she looked behind Ries to monitor if anyone tried to attack the girl from behind, so that she can rip off their unsuspecting noses or ears.

Who knew a Moomin character could be capable of such violence? Well... Little My’s a gremlin so...

[Atomic Knight]

Brave Vesperia fought as a complete unit, showing their prowess and experience fighting together. Repede bit at the feet of soldiers, distracting them or causing them to fall over, giving Yuri and Judith easy targets to pick off. Yuri's sword shone as he smoothly cut through the enemies while Judith practically flew through the air, her spear throwing enemies around.

Raven took a more defensive approach, shooting arrows at enemies that threatened to harm the most vulnerable individuals. Karol zoomed about the cavern, swinging her weapon and creating large shock-waves of energy that bowled over Revanchist soldiers.

"Brave Vesperia, pincer attack!"

Karol knocked an enemy into the air and Judith came down on top of him, followed up by Yuri cutting through them like butter.

However, as impressive as all this was, Rose was worried. "Our efforts do not seem to be whittling down the enemy forces!" she declared in-between bouts of magical energy. "They have a tactic up their proverbial sleeve!"

She was right, of course. Another group of soldiers came falling down from above, but between them was a large net. It fell on top of Reiner and sent energy coursing through him and disabling his Titan form. Once he was down for the count, one of the Revanchist's generals appeared. Dhaos descended down from the airship above them and floated down to the ground. Though it seemed like he wasn't looking for a fight and instead floated amidst the battlers. Like he was looking for something.

"There you are."

The vines in front of Dhaos burst into flames as he casually floated into the domain of the Great Spirit. "It's time for us to leave this place, Celsius." The fighting was too fierce to reach him in time and some of the group could see Dhaos placing his hand on someone before both vanished from sight.​

Little My tugged slightly at the collar of Ries’s shirt, trying to grab her attention.

“The bad guy! The bad guy left! He took some dude who was in there!” she shouted at a million miles per hour.

She doesn’t know whether this is good or bad. She’s just confused in general.

"!!" Chise startled when she felt something off. Glancing around, she caught the scent of...

'Something's burning?' she thought as she glanced around amongst the fighting. Then she saw it--Dhaos was in the Great Spirit's domain.

"No!!" Chise cried out, shocked, but the Great Spirit was gone now. Almost immediately, she grew...angry. Whirling around she brought her fist of her cursed arm to the chest of the nearest Revanchist soldier with enough force to push him back to the ground with a crack. They didn't get back up after that.

'This is bad, what...what will we do now? He didn't seem to kill the Great Spirit, so why...? How will we stop them now if that man can just take the Great Spirit like that? This anger...feels intense...is it partly from the curse?' She thought, taking a moment to breath and calm herself, she brought her hand to her face to cover her mouth and nose from the stench of blood and death. It was almost nauseating. She was still angry, but more so at herself than anyone else.

Grunting she quickly went to help try and clear out any remaining soldiers, mostly those holding the net around Reiner while looking for some of the more experienced members among the Coalition forces--those still standing had to have seen it right? They couldn't go after the Great Spirit like this...

'It's going to be okay. It's going to be okay, just breath and think about what to do next.' she told herself.
