Flames From the Past (1x1)

Her eyes widen at the sight of the bracelet within the box. It was beautiful to her. It was a little daunting as she saw the lock on it. Control. It was for a good reason that she wear it. She had to accept that reality.

She nods softly. "It's not lame. It's the truth and I accept that. It's beautifully crafted."

The male rubbed the back of his head, "It was what I wore when I was a child till I got a handle of my powers," He smirked lightly, "It's a family heirloom really my father had worn it when he was a child."

Kiki purred as she rested her head on Monica's knee.

She nods softly, then blinks a bit. "Family heirloom? I know control is important but are you sure you want me to wear this?" She asks carefully.

Gently she pets Kiki again as she felt the weight of the large cats head in her lap.

He stared at her, "It's not a matter of it being important but useful," Dustin explains lightly, "The moment the object becomes useless it will be discarded."

The angel had little idea how senseless this might sound to someone unaware that the object was worthless to his kind without the magic it held.

She gazed at him quietly a moment then nods softly to him. "Okay." She says softly then gently pulls the bracelet out of the box and looks to him once more. "How does it work exactly?" She asks curiously.

Moving over he took the piece from her then opened the clasp by pushing on the pin. He held it out for her to put her wrist out so he could wrap the bit of jewelry around it. The object was as light as a feather and let the wearer feel a warmth where it touched the flesh.

She nods a bit and held her wrists out to him . Watching as he put the bracelet in place. The warmth was soothing.

Smiling a little she nods to him. "So....now what?" She asks.

Dustin stared at her at the question. He hadn't thought that far, "Twenty questions time I suppose. I'll get a pot of tea started." With that he moved towards the kitchen to start a pot to boil.

She nods a bit at his words and watches him leave as he goes to get the tea. She starts trying to figure out all that she needed to ask and all that she wanted to ask.

Her eyes flicker a little and looks towards the fire place a little. It still made her uneasy.

Dustin returned sometime later with the tea and two cups. Pouring the hot liquid into the cups he pushed one over to her. It was pepperment chocolate tea, "Alright hit me with what you got."

She accepted the cup from him and sipped it. It tasted amazing and she relaxed a bit. "What do we do next? Can I still work for you? The demon isn't planning on showing up again is he?" She asks as she gets started.

"Work our ass off at getting your able to control your powers and make you seem less of a threat to the others. Question 2, yes. Thirdly, depends on him. Demons tend to be odd as hell. He could show up wanting to be buddies with you without much more reason than he likes your spunk."

She makes a face and sighs. She would probably have a panic attack if that demon showed up suddenly. "So how exactly do I learn to get control? I've never had that many problems....I mean I've never actually used my powers that often...if at all when I was a kid....as an adult...just now was the only time ever. Never had a slip up before either...."

Dustin gave a chuckle at the look she gave him, "Never using it isn't the same as having control," he states, "You will come with me to the clinics to heal fae that need attention from more than just a doctor," the angel explains.

She nods a little at his words. The healing she could do, she remembered doing it. "Okay. I will actually like to do that. Rather be doing good with what I can do than nothing at all or something bad." She says, smiling a bit.

Then thinking of something she looks to him. " will it still be safe for me to have a roommate then?"

Dustin nodded, "It will be fine," He murmurs, "If I know how Molly is she has given the harshest crash course in our kinds," The angel ran a hand through his hair, "Just be glad she isn't teaching you. She's more of the throw the kid in the river. He'll either learn to swim or drown."

She nods a bit and actually found relief in those words because she did trust Molly and she trusted Dustin.

Gently she starts petting Kiki again. She found the creature to be so soothing to her and she found herself lost in her thoughts for a moment as she tries to think of anything else to ask.

The male smiled then gently, "Kiki will stay at your place with you for a while. She'll look like a simple house cat to any normal people. I'm not sure what she will appear to be when it comes to your roommate thought." He honestly didn't know if Molly made him a servant or completed the deed or left him normal.

She looks to him and smiles as she nods. "Thank you. " She looks to Kiki. "As long as you are okay with it too? " She smiles again.

Dustin smirked as the large cat nodded quickly then gave a purring sound as if vocalizing her feeling even more. She rubbed her head against Monica's leg. The angel merely watched feeling slightly content with himself and the way things were at the moment.
