Flames From the Past (1x1)

Niel nods at the words though he was very sure it was an order. "Yes ma'am. " He followed after her back inside.

Monica smiles and shakes her head. "You sure we can put all of this up and get it all ready in time?" She asks curiously.

The vampire grinned, "You haven't noticed them yet?" She clapped her hands and gave a gentle whistle, "Alright now enough of the hiding come help so we can properly awaken this house!" From nearly every corner of the house small glimmers of light appeared before taking form into various sorts of creatures. Some rather frightening others beyond beautiful, "These are the others that keep the house running when no one lives in it. They are generally happy and carefree with little concern about upsetting the mortals they live alongside as they can stay hidden quite well. Though things go missing you can bet they are responsible but normally for a good reason. A wedding, birth of a new one, or death can lead to items going missing to honor that occasion."

She glanced about, "You all know what to do let's get this place in a good shape," She watched the creatures dive on the shopping bags taking things and hanging them or setting them on the counter if it was food. Their chatter was lively and heartwarming, "Monica. Did any one take you to greet the land god?"

Her eyes widen as the house suddenly became full. At first she felt unsure and kept near Molly but as she gazed at the crowd she found herself relaxing.

In a strange way it felt more like home having them all there. Home. She hadn't really thought about such an idea before.

She looks to Molly and smiles softly. "No not yet. A land God?" She asks curiously.

Molly took the girl's hand, "Oi. You better come as well Niel don't worry they won't hurt anything in the house," She smiled as she lead the two outside to the backyard and across the grass to the small bird house. The small land god seemed to have been expecting them as he sat visibly on his little roof staring up through his mask at the sky, "Greetings!" Molly called out, "Lovely evening for a homecoming no?"

The god chuckled gently, "It is!" He agreed, "Ah so you brought them to see me finally."

"Aye!" She smiled and bowed politely, "Nichi I would like you to meet Monica and Niel. They are in your care while they live here."

Nichi nodded, "Greetings to your both, children of Abraham."

"You should join us for the festivities for this night," She informed him.

Niel nodded his head in respect to the God, smiling warmly.

Monica felt shy a bit but nods and waves gently to the God. She wasn't sure how to behave or act around the god. When Molly invited the God to join the party she was excited for it now. She wanted to meet all the creatures and everyone that would be there.

She had kept to herself for so long that with Molly's encouraging she was looking forward to this now.

Nichi tilted his head slightly, "Join? I don't think a god would fair well among so many others," He says softly, "But I suppose I can at least come and offer my blessing." One could have sworn they saw the mask smile as he stood then vanished. He had things to prepare himself.

"Gods are finicky things but they truly only have the best interest in mind. Most gods are specialized Nichi is god of the night sky. He is always watching the stars and reading them," Molly explained to the two, "Lets go check on the house."

The house was in marvelous shape. The welcome home banner Molly had made was hanging up in the archway of the kitchen just high enough for it to not be an issue. The variety of foods and some that Molly hadn't bought was spread out over the counter and even the table. The fridge was stocked with all sorts of drinks and desserts for later, "Wonderful! Now we merely wait for the guest to show. The others of the house will like want to

Monica nods softly and smiles again. She was curious of the god. She looks up at Molly and nods again as she follows her back to the house.

Niel was close behind.

Her eyes widen at the sight of the decorated house and all the food. It was the sign though that really got her. It was all so wonderful. She smiles happily to Molly. "Looks great. "

"Aye," She smiled as she headed towards the woman's bedroom, "I have something for you in here I need you to change into. Can't have a beauty looking like she just crawled out of bed at her own party now can we?" She pointed at Niel, "There is an outfit for you as well in your room. Go change, please."

The doorbell rang before it was pushed open by Emma, "I'm home!" She called out of habit then blinked, "Sorry... Habits die hard," The beautiful woman was dressed to the nines with her long hair pulled up into a bun. In her right hand she carried two gift bag as well as a makeup case, "Looks like I'm right no time!"

The vampire nodded, "Aye. Let's get the princess ready!"

They all but pushed Monica into her bedroom and shut the door, "Get ready to feel like a jewel."

Monica blinks a bit and looks down at herself. She had completely forgotten that she was in her pj's from before.

As Emma joined them and she was corralled into the bedroom, she wondered what had she gotten herself into.

She arches a brow and looks at Molly and Emma. "I hope you know...I've never worn make up or dressed up before...." she smiles a bit.

Niel had done as she was told and gone to his room to change as well. The poor girl had no idea what she was getting into but he knew it would be good for her.

Emma smiled, "Don't worry about that. You have the professionals here to help you glow."

The dress she was asked to change into was a lovely dark wine red that clung to her form from chest to hip before falling in to the floor with a slit at the right hip. The sleeves fell off her slender shoulders just slightly. After changed she was sat in a chair while Molly set to work on her hair. Once it was done she was taken over by Emma who painted her face. After she was told to look at herself in the mirror.

Her hair had been twisted up with a few braids to the left side of her head where most of it left to cascade down her back in lovely waves and ringlets. Her make up had a smokey quality to it her lipstick a lush red. A pair of diamond teardrop earrings and a simple pendent of the same design were added by Molly who then stepped back and smiled, "Look at that beauty."

"Eat your heart out Dusty." Emma chimed. The male had stepped into the room at some point and stood there gawking at Monica. In his left hand was a small box but it didn't seem to go noticed by him as he stared wide eyed at the vision before him.

"You look... Breathtaking," he murmured.

Monica hadn't noticed that Dustin had entered the room. The person that stared back at her in the mirror, she couldn't recognize. She hadn't ever thought makeup to be possible with her scars but there it was and it looks beautiful.

When Emma spoke to Dustin that was when she noticed that he was there. She looks to him and found herself blushing as soon as she saw his expression.

She smiles again. "Thank you." She looks to Molly and Emma as well. "Thank you all so much. "

Dustin finally shook himself from his surprised state and held the box out to Monica, "This should help with the issue we talked about earlier," he stated, "I'll wait outside while ya'll finish," He then quickly turns around and rushes out of the room.

"Poor Dusty~..." Came the soft sound of Emma's voice, "He's got a thing for you but isn't sure what to do about it. After all he is your boss and wants to be professional and all." She pats her shoulder, "Let's go stun some more people shall we?"

Molly smiled in agreement before pointing at the box, "Lets get that on you shall we?"

She stared after him, smiling a bit. She had never had an effect like that on a male. It amazed her and also made her blush again.

She nods a bit to Emma and smiles. Then nods to Molly about the box. "Good idea."

Emma pulled out the beautiful red silk charm bracelet with jade beads making up the band. It was quickly fastened on the opposite wrist from the first one she wore. This one would bring a calming feeling to the wearer and encourage peaceful thoughts, "Perfect."

Molly moved away then headed toward the door with Emma following on her heels waving Monica to come with them. All sorts of creatures puttered about chatting here and there. Dustin and another angel chatted causally near the front door.

As soon as the bracelet was in place, she felt the effects of it. Her body seemed to visibly relax.

She smiles to Molly and Emma then heads out of the room with them.

She was amazed at how many could fit into the house. She was a little nervous. She hadn't met so many others before.

Niel was over in the kitchen wearing what Molly had gotten him.

Molly was everything one would expect from an expect from a hostess. She made the rounds introducing Monica to every person she knew and many she was meeting for the first time as well. When they finally made it over to Dustin she narrowed her gaze slightly at the angel he was with, "Greetings, Archangel Uriel. Whatever caused you to drop by?"

The Angel glared in return at the vampire, "I came to make sure this," He glanced at Monica, "Young one was doing well." His words were forced. Clearly he thought little of humans and even more so of those that had abilities that others were suppose to have only. A dark haired man stepped into the door way of the house and cleared his through causing he angel to twist to see the man.

To say Monica didn't draw in powerful beings would have been a lie from the deepest bowels of hell itself, "What are you doing, Urie?" Asked the impeccably well dressed man, "I believe you were stopped at the door for a reason, brother, perhaps you should take Yadressil's blade back to her and give up on trying to get rid of things you don't like."

The angel growled at the male before storming out of the house quickly. The dark hair male merely nodded in greeting to the group, "I'll be watching," Was all he said before he vanished as if he had never been there.

Molly glanced about realizing the room was staring at them, "How about we have some fun now?"

Dustin nodded, "I need some beer."

The tension and distaste coming from the angel was making her feel sick. She focused on the feeling of the bracelets on her wrists. They did calm her as she gazed back at the angel, refusing to let him greatly to her. She couldn't let him bother her.

It was the appearance of the well dressed man and his words to Uriel that made her feel sicker. Did the archangel detest humans so much?

She watches as the male stormed out and then the unnamed stranger disappear. His parting words actually comforting her.

She looks up at Molly and Dustin, nodding a bit. "Yes...let's have fun." She wouldn't drink though. She had never drank and she wasn't sure it would be a good idea for her to try now.

Dustin and Molly were having fun outwardly but inwardly trying to figure out why that man had shown up here. It wasn't normal and left a sour taste in their mouths. It was sometime later that evening that Dustin pulled Monica off to the side, "If you ever see that dark haired man don't go anywhere with him."

It was all he said about the situation. There were a number of beings now interested in Monica and it left him feeling quite uncomfortable and unsure who to trust at this point. The Land God, Nichi drifted over and perched on Monica's shoulder after Dustin had left her side, "Worry not little one, there are many things in this world you have yet to learn but you have a family that is willing to assist you in any way possible to make sure you stay safe."

Monica had kept pleasant with everyone she met. Keeping her expressions light and happy. It was Dustin's warning that made her on edge.

Was there more danger now than before? She was starting to wonder if the welcoming party had been a good idea. She had done her best to remember everyone and know who she spoke with.

As the god landed on her shoulder, she smiles warmly to him. His words did provide comfort and she nods softly. "Thank you sir. I needed those words right now." She smiles softly to him.

The God nodded, "No need to call me sir," He told her, "Nichi will do just fine. You should come talk to me anytime you need advice or just and ear to hear your words," standing slightly he stretched I should be going."
