Heya! I found this site on one of those top RP sites and I really like the looks of this place. It seems that a lot of roleplaying sites require you to have a picture of a celebrity as an avatar which doesn't appeal much to me.

I am an old RPer looking to recapture the magic one gets when creating with others. I posted a lot on roleplaygateway a few years ago and spent a lot of my teenage years roleplaying in MMORPGs and other games.

One of the reasons I like this place is that it sells itself as a place to tell stories. Stories are as close as you get to to living other lives I feel.

I will be perusing the forums for rules and guidelines before posting, but is there anything I should know? Can I jump right into a story or create one myself?

Hi! What's going on in your life? Music taste? Favourite and worst OC character of yours? Fav character in all of fiction and vice versa? Care for an rp when you get approved?
 
Hi Nox! I'm currently juggling school and work but my sights are set on writing, creating, and exploring new ideas. A Dungeons and Dragons session is in the works but I just can't wait that long for an adventure!

I am cycling between Modest Mouse, Milky Chance and any post-rock band that comes across my path. There is just something so nice about post-rock. The build up, crescendo, and fall. It's beautiful!

My favourite OC character has to be Gilsworth, hence my profile name. He's a gentle man in his late fifties who has a penchant for flowers and orange tabby cats. I know him so well sometimes I feel like he is real.

My worst character was one of my first where I projected myself into a Mary-Sue type of a character with no real grasp of storytelling whatsoever or how to roleplay my character without roleplaying everybody's elses as well.

As for fiction I am currently loving the orangutang librarian in Pratchets Lords and Ladies, he speaks to me on a deep level! Ook!

Least favourite? Hmm... it was probably some husk of a person used to deliver a plot device. Someone who didn't feel real. It's hard for me to hate a fictional character unless they have been obviously shoehorned in to stitch a plothole.

I am absolutely up for an RP! Anything really! Just want to unwind, be creative, and meet new people! :)

No problem at all! Do you listen to Arctic Monkeys? If you haven't you totally should! They're basically some kind of rock.
 
I heard a song not too long ago that made me turn my head, turns out it was Arctic Monkeys! I heard that they started out in a garage not knowing how to play any of the instruments. Some guy got a guitar and thought it might be a good idea to play it! Might be a myth, I dunno, but it's a good story nonetheless :)

What song of theirs do you recommend?
 
There's a lot of theirs that are good. Most of them godlike, some few are not that good but start with R U Mine, that's an easy start to the slippery slope of Arctic Monkeys.
