New User Hello

Longren

Temporal Dimension.
What to say? Not entirely sure since I haven't done one of these in probably two years. I'm Longren or Lon, if you prefer. I've been writing for far too long and for the last couple of years have taken a break to write on my own. I thought I would come back to the collaborative writing although a bit on the rusty side. Can't say I'm the fastest poster with obligations in real life but I can promise not to disappoint in my posts. So, yeah. If you want to know something else just ask me.

I am a bit late to welcome you, but regardless... Welcome to the circle! Feel free to ask anything if you have questions, we are all quite happy to lend a hand however we can.

I hope you have fun around here!

Hello and welcome to STC Longren! My apologies for not chiming in with a better introduction for you. I try to swing by for as many of them as I can but life's been keeping me at a delay. I was able to review your interactions and activity already however, and I am happy to say your account is fully approved and open for unrestricted access to all of the RP areas!

If you're looking to start a project geared more towards density of throughput as opposed to frequency of throughput, do drop me a line, directly! I'm myself starting to drift to the solo projects I've long ran out of energy to pretend I can't craft and understand life obligations to boot, so I fully empathize with the sentiment of "Can't say I'm the fastest poster with obligations in real life but I can promise not to disappoint in my posts,".

Long as there's an interesting or thought provoking kernel within the premise, I'm likely to be interested regardless of genre, although Sci-fi and all things adjacent to it are my all time preference.

Also don't hesitate to ask or chime in if you have any suggestions or need help with anything relating to the website's operation! We're here to help!

Hello! It seems like we've been picking up a few new people lately, that's awesome. If you have any trouble getting into things, feel free to ask - people here are really helpful. The discord server is a good place to hang out if you like chatting, otherwise I'm sure I'll see you around on the site some time!

Thank you, I appreciate it.

No, no. Don't worry. I appreciate it all the same. Also, thank you for the approval. I'm probably going to get acquainted more with the site before I jump into or create anything. With the holiday around the corner, I would hate to start something then have to go poof. I do enjoy sci-fi as well. It's been a while since I participated in a story about it though.

Hi, thanks for the info.

Excellent and sensible plan. I suppose I'll take the opportunity to shamelessly plug-in my project share news regarding one of the roleplays you may come across that may not seem open, but is.

I do have a Sci-Fi roleplay that is currently going on—titled "Oh Concordia"—and which I aim to break up into sections.

It is a Sci-Fi set thriller, beginning—at least ostensibly—with a murder mystery being solved at the not-so-voluntary behest of a cadre of—at least seemingly—malfunctioning artificial general intelligences that manage an autonomous city-state, which have empowered a group of randoms with tremendous digital access for the purpose of finding them a new caretaker/exemplary human template, and who appear to be at cross purposes with a cadre of the well-connected and priviliged.

The traditional sort of roles that might mark the "protagonists" in a non-collaborative project are filled—by which I mean the set of characters that started with the opening of the premise as quasi blank slates—but I have much room and desire to locate some writers to help fulfill other plot needs from playing antagonistic forces, to simply being fleshed out bit players that either foil or aid the set of characters tasked with the premise, and whatever else may come to mind that can be enhanced with another writing hand.

If this seems at all like it may be your cup of tea, I absolutely will welcome any further inquiries in the New Year!
