Hi there. One day I sort of thought on a whim 'this is a kinda long hiatus, I think I'll get back into roleplaying again' so here I am signed up and all. Looking forward to writing with you!

I'd say I'm most comfortable with light SF and modern settings. I can dabble around fantasy as well but I'm not familiar enough with the tropes of the genre to be versatile in my writing.

If I wanted to get started asap what would be the best way to do that?
 
Hello, and welcome to Storyteller's Circle! Regarding your question, the best way to get started is to just start browsing the forums until you find something you seem interested in. It may seem a bit overwhelming at first, but I just joined about a week ago and already I know the site pretty well. Good luck, and have fun roleplaying!

We have a number of roleplays as Sean said browsing the forums is a good place to start. We have a bulletin board in our oocs section as well that advertises active roleplays. We also have a number of large sandbox roleplays as well. The Chronicles of the Omiverse has a large number of settings and is can incorporate some existing character players have or incorporate new characters based on the lore there.

However, before you get started you will need to go through our account approval process before you can view these forums. By doing an intro you are already partway done! More information can be found here: http://www.storytellerscircle.com/threads/account-approval-information.10/ Just post around on a few of the accessible sections of the forums, Main Lobby and the Writers Circle and once our admins deem that you are active and engaged they will approve your account.

I wish I drew that. It was from an anime I screenshotted and did a little editing on. I'll take a look at the Pokemon rp once I'm approved but I'm more of a game enthusiast than someone who delves into the lore.
 
That's fine ^.^ We try to keep it as much like the games as possible.

I use to go on a lot of rp Hiatus due to rl stuff so I understand sometimes life gets in the way of your rp needs so I am glad you are back to the rp world =)! By the way I love your signature it is so cute! Did you draw it yourself? If so then awesome~ I would love to see more drawings from you in the future!
