Daizi hugged him back, holding him close, "How else should I be?" She asked, rubbing his back, "It's a hard day. You deserve support." The little one was active, and she didn't want it to detract from the moment Alec needed, so she tried to awkwardly shift away without pulling away, hoping it would be enough to not pull focus. It was strange to be carrying new life on a day set aside to mourn someone who had died, like she was rubbing it in their face.
