How Green Becomes Wood

Feels like it, Xander replied, although he'd never actually thought about it until now. Just expected him to be like his brother. I know my mama's upset with me. Can't help myself sometimes.

How do you win, if it's a competition? Milo asked, finding getting to know a person stressful enough. If everyone viewed it like it was winnable... he figured he probably lost a lot. Was he like his brother? Anyway, moms are forgiving, that's like... the whole thing, right?

I don't know. If I did, maybe I wouldn't be such a jerk. No, he didn't seem to be like him. It was just the one meeting. Alec liked him. Yeah, she'll forgive. I just don't like making her upset.

Xander decided not to explain the apology situation since he didn't know how and focused on the second half of the text. What do you want to do? I can pick you up.qnd take you somewhere. You can come here. Whatever. I'm wide open.

Oh I don't know. I don't really know what's... cool to do. I don't really get up to much, honestly. I mean, I've been wanting to try my hand at taking hoax ghost pictures, but I also thought that'd be more fun for... yk halloween.

Hoax ghost pictures? Daizi would love that. We could go to the mall or somewhere public so you could get some good pictures Xander offered. He didn't really have any good ideas, either, and had been hoping Milo would have one or two.

For ghost pictures? We can't take ghost pictures at the mall, there are too many people, it would mess it up. Milo took some time to think. What are those things people do in movies? We should do one of those things, like... I don't know. A time capsule or something. People have water balloon fights, but I'm not sure I'm good at that.

I just meant pictures in general, but, sure, we could do something else. I thought time capsules had to be done in a group? Could give it a try. Or you could come here and do a water balloon fight.

We can do it, then. But I'm not sure I'm going to be very good at it. You're much more athletic than I am. It'll be fun though, I think. I used to have water balloon fights when I was just a little kid.

The weekends are easier because of summer school. But we're almost at the break between what they're calling 'mini terms' and then I'll be more free. Milo explained, and then after a few messages added, Do you think your parents would be okay with it in their garden? What if someone falls and crashes into the flowers?

Xander considered this for a moment. Most of the flowers would be okay. A couple are special, but they are roses. You wouldn't want to fall into those anyway. But I'll ask, and if they are worried, we'll do it somewhere else. Maybe a park.
