"If you're sure," Daizi said, heading towards the dance floor, "We can just dance like we did last time so we only need to touch hands so it's easier for you."
Just like last time they danced, Daizi just held his hands so they could take steps in and out and twirl without making Xander hold her more closely. Maybe one day they'd get there, but it wasn't now, and she was okay with that. She just liked getting the chance to dance with him in any capacity.
Xander followed Daizi's lead rather than taking the lead himself, but he was engaged in the dance. He was more cautious than his brother, but still moved with a smooth and elegant power. He'd come to learn his own body and how to move it intimately, and that served him well on the dance floor, even if he couldn't do anything more than hold hands. He might not have admitted it, but he was enjoying himself.
Daizi visibly loved every second she had dancing with her son, and as they twirled around, she said, "I have something I want to ask you, but it'll probably annoy you if I do."
Daizi could help but laugh when he twirled her, but once they came back together, she took a moment before saying, "What you asked before, when you first came to us... Do you still believe it? All marriage will turn toxic?"
"You really will, won't you?" Xander asked, amused. "You'll be, like, on your deathbed or something and you'll be like, 'Have you changed your mind yet?'" He took hold of her wrists firmly enough to not accidentally slip and pulled her around, spinning them both round and round like children.
Daizi laughed being spun around, doing her best not to trip, "I will ask until I'm on my death bed if I need to, but I hope you admit you were wrong before then!"
"Have we ever claimed to be otherwise?" Daizi asked, settling into her natural place against her husband, absolutely delighted to get to be there again.
"You would believe Xander has never once enjoyed himself," Dark teased, his arm comfortably around his wife's waist.
Ciara and Alec approached them, Alec looking rather pleased with himself that he'd talked his aunt into dancing. "I am afraid I must depart," Ciara told Dark and Daizi. "It has been a lovely time, and you are a beautiful couple."
"Thank you so much for coming," Daizi replied, lightly touching Ciara's arm before she could stop herself, "It was amazing to be able to celebrate with you."
"I am glad you enjoyed yourself," Dark told her with a nod, "outrageous though it may have been."
