How Green Becomes Wood

Sloan was at the middle of her gymnastics meet, so she couldn't see Xander's text to reply. Milo, though, after only a few moments, wordlessly sent a photograph of a Raggedy Ann doll.

Xander rolled his eyes. The only way I'd dress like Raggedy Ann is if the Mini asked me while holding one. You'd probably be My if the mini was around you enough to name you.

Io is cool, like that Roman god. Or Greek or Norse or whichever one. Sure, if she asked, I'd do it, Xander said in the complete confidence that Ivy would not ask him any such thing.

Considering who her parents were, Xander struggled to see Ivy having a tea party. Then again, she might have some very interesting tea parties. If there's tea and cookies, yeah. Why skip out on that?

I think if a little kid asks you to put on a tiara, you put on the tiara Milo replied, I feel like it's also a rite of passage that little girls put makeup on their dads? It happens on TV all the time anyway

Xander snickered to himself and checked the time. Sloan probably wouldn't be done with her meet for a while yet. He hoped she'd let him know when she was done so he could ask her how she was doing. He turned his attention back to Milo's text. Are you calling me a cold-hearted jerk?

Soft? I am a steel wall surrounding a ball of titanium encasing a diamond. I just also happen to not be in the habit of stepping on ducklings or tiny children's dreams like any reasonable being.
