How Green Becomes Wood

Alec hurried to get some paper and pencils for the three of them, excited for this. Xander had agreed to be arty! And, honestly, he'd do anything his father wanted to do. He brought the paper, pencils, and random flat surfaces for them to draw on so they wouldn't have to crowd around the coffee table. Xander got a clipboard, Alec took a large book, and Dark was given a thin cutting board to use.

"Oh, I misunderstood," Dark replied, "When you had said collaborative drawing, for some reason I thought you meant the game where one person draws the head, one person the torso, and the third person the legs, but cannot see what the person ahead of you drew. I am not sure why."

"You have to fold the paper into thirds," He said, demonstrating, "I think if we all draw a head, though, then if when we are finished I pass mine to you, you give yours to Xander, and Xander gives me his, we can all then draw a body. Then when we rotate again, I will be able to draw the legs on yours, Xander will draw the legs on mine, and so forth."

Alec and Xander both dutifully followed Dark's directions and folded up the paper. Alec drew a very nice head, and Xander did an egg shape with wonky eyes, nose, and mouth. Then they passed their papers around do draw the body. Xander was quick and simple. Alec took time with his before passing them again.

Dark forced himself to not be as detailed as he would like to be for the sake of his game, but nonetheless drew a vampire-bat inspired Gargoyle head. For the legs also he kept his usual gothic flare, but since he guessed it was expected of him to stick to that style, for his body he drew a princess torso instead.

Xander had no clue what he was drawing. He never drew people, just random shapes and nature images, usually. He drew something that he hoped resembled the thing he was supposed to be drawing and called it good.

Alec was much more careful and added flair to his, though nothing like Dark's. His was a bit more frilly.

Once they finished the arms, Alec asked, "Are we ready to reveal?"
