Laughing, Claire told him, "That's how I feel about it too! I want to like it so badly, but I don't at all! My sister keeps telling me it's an acquired taste, but I don't think I have it in me to acquire it."
"That's how I feel about coffee," Alec said, making a face. "The way my Ba makes it looks like some kind of magic alchemy, and it's amazing to watch! But I hate the taste. Xander says I'm not allowed, anyway, because it wires me up so much."
"How does your dad make coffee?" Claire asked, suddenly fascinated, "I had no idea there even was a way to make coffee which made someone look like a kind of wizard."
Alec tried to describe to her exactly how Dark made coffee the Arab way, flourishing his hand as he did so. "It's not just how he makes it, though, it's the way he makes it. He's got a flair!" he said as they stepped up to order. He ordered first and pulled out his wallet as Claire ordered.
