Pronouns
she/her
Hi there, folks. Donny, she/her (any pronouns are fine), 36. Artist and craftswoman (illustration, sewing, embroidery, sculpting, cooking), bird mom of four, feral reader and avid writer of 20+ years.

Most of my roleplaying career consists of grounded, realistic crime plots (less 'mafia' tropes, more research-based organized crime and espionage), though I've recently been looking to dip my toes into weird fiction as well. My writing philosophy is based largely in intentionality and nuance: I find challenge in choosing my words thoughtfully, saying as much as I want to with as little as necessary, and trusting my writing partners to read between the lines. I rely on dialog, action and scene-setting more than introspection, which I prefer to keep to a minimum. No shade to anybody else's preferences - I just find that, for me, it makes interactions feel more authentic.

The combo of age (I've been out here writing since the days of ICQ), niche genres and even nicher writing preferences has made it increasingly difficult to find compatible writing partners over the past couple of years - so I thought I'd try my luck here. Whether we wind up writing together or not, it's nice to meet you guys!

Hello and welcome! Sounds like you have some killer skills. That's awesome!

Your writing style sounds interesting. I've never tried anything like that, myself, but I can definitely see the appeal.

I love this! Your description reminds me of the 90s Disney show, So Weird. Probably because it sort of marries my concept with yours. Fun fact: I have had characters who were detectives and also parents. I'm unsure of how to organize that in this setting (as opposed to a community site where you can post within a job description and simultaneously do family-centric plots).
