- They/them
They climbed the water tower behind Festival, surprised that of all the structures she'd choose this one. Some other were taller. But they also guessed sometimes you didn't need the tallest. Just... your favorite tallest, maybe? The thought made them snort, it was kind of funny.
When they reached the top, their acquaintance-friend sat by the edge. Blue stood for a moment longer to feel the wind. They smiled, as the breeze played with their hair and took a deep breath. Then, they finally sat by Festival's side, their legs also dangling. They moved them gently, as if giving the air tiny kicks.
"This is beautiful!" They said, getting quiet after and listening to her as she pointed out the different places. They recognized a few, and from here it was embarrassing to see where they'd gotten lost during the day. But they tried to just listen to what the young woman had to say, and not dwell on their failures.
"I'm glad we came here, the sight and the silence are worth it." Joked Blue. "It's not quiet outside. Well, compared to everything that is going on here all the time, it is pretty quiet. But outside, if you can't hear anything at all, if there's complete silence... It's usually a sign that something terrible either will happen or is happening in that moment." They explained, happy to share their experiences with her. And hoping they didn't bore her.
