"Ah well... I need to take care of some things, but..." Bastien paused and looked around. "Hey, Damon, can you fill Aimee in?" he hollered as he took note of Damon's arrival, seemingly oblivious to his disinterest in interacting anyone.

He moved over to Snow and ruffled the fur on Sophia's head.

"Can you keep an eye on her for a bit longer?" he asked. "I need to do something for Ragenard. And have you heard anything about Vanessa yet?"

Damon raised an eyebrow at Bastiens inquiry, he shifted his weight and rested again "What do you need Aimee?" he asked with his eyes still closed, waiting for a response.

Aimee just nodded towards Bastien, mentally thankful she wasn't interrogated or lectured. Whatever happened with everyone else was clearly enough to keep the heat off herself for at least a while longer. Glancing over towards Damon, she moved closer to him so that they didn't have to shout across the room. It appeared to be calming down, but the tension and everything else wasn't helping her not want to drink. Sighing, she glanced around once again before leaning against the wall beside Damon.

"Just want to know what happened last night. The only thing I know is that the Scions torched the Den, but that's only because I was there. Clearly other bad things were happening at the same time. So... spill, please?" She glanced over towards Seri, glad that he was okay before returning her attention towards Damon.

Damon opened his eyes and looked at Aimee "Other than us getting attacked, Baron hanging on for dear life and Eliza possibly being the one who betrayed us that's about all I can tell you...I got a call to show up and that's all I was told. How are you holding up?" He gave her a once over and could see she looked a bit worn maybe going through withdrawls.

"Attacked?! Who attacked... wait, the Scions. Now it all makes sense..." Aimee growled lightly, realizing that everything had been planned from the git go. The Den being burned wasn't a random attack... no... not at all. Clenching her fist, she fought to keep calm, really wanting alcohol now. Shaking her head, she hoped that Baron pulled through as well as anyone else that was in bad shape. Her eyes closed for a minute when asked how she was holding up. Her pain medication was wearing off, though it still managed to keep her head all fuzzy. Booze would numb all of the pain, but there was probably none in the center. Plus, she was trying to quit. Figuring honesty was key, she just hoped that the admission wouldn't end up biting her in the ass.

"I'm in a great deal of pain thanks to a Scion bitch cutting through my face with her claws and I am craving alcohol like something fierce. I can't really complain though, because others have it a lot worse." Sighing, she just shrugged and glanced up at the ceiling.

Damon sighed "Maybe try taking a nap, always nice to sleep through the pain and the withdrawls...maybe we can find you some Tegretol to help with the symptoms of your withdrawls." he looked to see if she was ok with the idea of medications to help the symptoms and ease her detox.

"I don't want a nap. I've been sleeping since we were all brought here. I want alcohol, which is my problem. I don't want any medication... I just..." Sighing, Aimee kicked the wall and just growled, already growing incredibly agitated and the withdrawal was just beginning. After a few minutes, she just exhaled and glanced back over to Damon, studying him for a few minutes.

"Don't suppose you've got any alcohol on you? Just a small drink won't hurt me, right? No... damn it, I hate this! Nevermind about the booze... maybe I'll go find some heavy pain medication that'll take off the edge." Sighing, she had no idea how she was going to survive this. Maybe they would go after the Scions and she take her frustration out on them.

Damon closed his eyes and rested his head back against the wall "Stacking on pain killers isn't a good idea especially if we need to fight. You could always keep me company, talking sometimes takes the mind off discomfort. he said patting the spot on the floor next to him. "It's up to you but I think Ragenard will be pissed if he finds out the pain killers are being used for extra curricular and non medical activities."

Slumping down beside Damon, Aimee had no idea what she truly wanted. Well, aside from enough alcohol to drown away the memory of tonight. Talking was something she did not want to do a lot of, especially since her face was beginning to ache all over again, but it sure beat staring at the walls and listen to the demons in her head. Placing her wrapped wrist in her lap, she just laid her head against the wall and closed her eyes.

"The pain medical would be for medical purposes seeing as I am in immense pain thanks to my face and wrist... Don't know where it's kept and I'd rather not go anywhere near anyone that will question why I was at the Den and not at home like the order stated. Plus, I know there are others in more pain than me... so I guess I should just deal with it." Sighing, Aimee glanced over at Damon before looking back up at the ceiling.

Damon placed his hand on her knee in a sweet gesture "Don't worry, I won't ask questions. You had your reasons why you did what you did, who am I to judge? You'll share what you want when you want with whom you choose."

"Unfortunately, my reasoning and actions might be enough to get me booted out of the pack." Aimee dropped her head down, glancing towards his hand upon her knee before looking back up, not minding the gesture at all. Her mind was incredibly conflicted because although she really wanted alcohol, enough to just walk out the door, she refused to become her mother and cause Jacques any further grief. Not only that, it would be her death warrant and she would be banned from the pack forever. It would probably take the Scions a day or less to find her and she wouldn't be as fortunate the second time. How did it get down to this? How did occasional drinking turn into full blown alcoholism? How could she let herself become like her mother? Frowning, she ended up scooting down a smidge in order to lay her head against his shoulder.

"Thanks for not judging me or shunning me, Damon." She faintly smiled, though the expression didn't last very long.

"Lets make sure you stick around Aimee, I'm sure we will have a fight after what happened so we'll just make sure you are worth more inside the pack than out of the pack. First step is get you feeling better, maybe we can find you some food if you're hungry." He sat up and looked at Aimee with a smile.

"I want those Scion bastards to pay, Damon. They don't deserve to continue to breathe after everything that they have done to the pack. I didn't manage to kill one tonight... but I hit two different ones with my bullets, so that's something, I guess." Aimee smiled faintly and wondered if anyone else felt she was worthy to stay in the pack. Sighing, she hated how her mind always went negative once the booze wore off, which was generally the time she got more. It was a terrible circle, one that she no longer could continue. Her stomach felt queasy with the mention of food, but she also knew fuel was needed to heal. She healed slow enough as it was and without food it would be worse. No, the urge to get better to beat on some Scions outweighed the sick feeling.

"Food would be great. I can't even remember the last time I ate anything decent."

Snow raised an eyebrow at the rifle that Brendan held, "You probably want to show that to Ragenard," he said, "That's an impressive piece of gear. He'll want to ask her about it."

He shook his head, then. "Nobody realised. We haven't had a reason to be paranoid about new faces for a long time... don't get hung up on it."

Something he knew full well was easier to say than do, or else his own mind wouldn't be full of similar doubts and 'what if's about the way the night had gone.
"A'ight, I'll snag him when I can. Reckon she's got enough on her already to cause a shitstorm" Brendan said, relaxing a little after Snow's consolation. He lowered his arm that held the rifle and sighed.

"An' hey, keep holdin' up" He said, quieter this time, with a comforting pat of Snow's shoulder and smile that he hoped was encouraging.

After a pause, he then craned his neck some, scanning the room, and went back to worrying about where Desmond had got to with a tight jaw.

"Sure," Snow answered when Bastien walked over, "But no, I haven't heard anything. I've been trying to get some sleep for the last few hours." Trying being the operative word, as his dishevelled and weary appearance made evident. What happened with your new girl? I caught something about her lying?"

Bastien shook his head. "Damned if I know what the fuck is going on anymore," he answered. "But she's not my girl. Not sure who she is or where she came from yet, but Ragenard didn't kill her, so maybe her story will check out."

He paused a moment.

"I'm sorry, about Nieve," Bastien said with a shake of his head. "I got there as quickly as I could."

Snow's expression tightened for a moment, and he took a deep breath before speaking. "It's not your fault," he said quietly. For a moment it looked like he was going to say more, but instead he simply sighed. There was a pause, before he finally added, "It's nobody's fault except the Scions'."

There was no point in airing out his foolish thoughts - questions of if he'd dealt with the vampire he'd been fighting faster, might he have been able to save her? If they'd worked together instead of splitting up to fight alone? There'd been a time when that would have been instinctual. But they hadn't been that close for a long time.

Ragenard exited the exam room with his new shadow, her presence behind him quietly tucked away just below conscious thought. He took two steps in the direction of the operating rooms, before feeling his blood drain away to his toes, leaving tiny pin-pricks swimming across his vision. A curious sensation began to tingle out his skull and down his spine, and he steeled himself to prevent from doubling over.

A second later, the sensation stopped and his stomach began to grumble violently and hungrily. All thoughts about the nature of the sensation quickly fled Ragenard's mind as his hunger registered itself with a vengeance, and he decided that checking on Carlisle could wait a bit after all.

"Listen up! I need whoever has cash on hand to step forward, and I need two of you without any priors or outstanding warrants to come here too! If you got business I need to hear, form up too. We have a lot of work to do to make sure we're not all dead or in jail tomorrow people, get hopping if you can hop!" Ragenard bellowed over the room before leaning back by the outside wall of the exam room and waiting for his orders to be carried out.

Re'Altarm turn back as she heard the bellowing man. She walked up to him rather silently and looked up at him expectantly.

She was a frail looking thing compared to the hulking frame of Ragenard, he could easily break her in half. But she neither seem to cower in his presence or think him any different than the man she had tried to help on the floor. She knew none of these faces, but she knew they had rescued Jesse. She had to repay them, somehow, and she held herself with that sense of purpose.

"I was told by a man to see you to see if.. You would 'clear' me to help with the poisoned man." She said, her accent thick. "I know some about human medical practices, and I do think I can help them. However, should you wish to use me elsewhere, I will try to be helpful elsewhere, sir." She then waited to see if he had heard her and would give her orders. She acted as a soldier would.

To the side of the room, Seri hesitated, exchanging a glance with Hubert and Cass.

His question was clear. Should they respond? Should he respond? They were probably fine - they were new blood, but they were wolves. The impression he'd got from the large one called Ragenard was not ... gentle.

But at the same time, he couldn't hide in a corner forever. Much as he might like to. Maybe if he could prove himself useful... He wasn't exactly law-abiding, but he'd also never been caught.

The werecat sighed. "Can't pretend I don't exist forever..." he muttered, as much to himself as to Hubert and Cass, before standing up and hesitantly moving towards Ragenard. He didn't look like much - scrawny and dressed in what amounted to little more than rags, his arms folded across his chest as though still subconsciously trying to make himself seem small and avoid attention.

Nearby, Snow glanced towards Ragenard. "I should go check in," he said to Bastien, "But I'll keep an eye on Sophia until Raquette or someone else is free to."

Having something to do would probably help stop him overthinking things, he thought as he walked over. He certainly wasn't helping anyone by lying around and not managing to sleep.

Groaning at Ragenard's loud voice, Aimee knew that there was no way he would let her step foot out of the building, but she could at least hand over the money she had been planning on using to buy booze after getting some from the Den. It wasn't like it was going to do her any good anymore, especially not if she truly planned on stopping her alcoholism. Shoving up to her feet, she swayed a moment before forcing herself to straighten up. Carefully and cautiously moving to where Mr. Shouty was at, the nineteen-year-old dug into her front pocket of her pants and yanked out a huge wad of cash. Looking longingly at it once more, she exhaled deeply and just shook her head.

"Here... was going to use this to buy booze, but..." Trailing off, Aimee just held out the wad in the palm of her hand towards Ragenard, hoping he took it before she changed her mind and pocketed it back up in order to sneak out and get drunk.
