[minor mature themes] Black Dahlia and True Blue - A Heist Gone Wrong

Amora smiled in a way that seemed almost insane or unhinged. She laughed mirthlessly. “I don’t think he’ll be alone ever again, you dogs,” she spat. “I’ll make sure you won’t be identified by anything less than your fucking dental records.”

She adopted a battle stance alongside Black Dahlia, posing like she had when she fought Cabacci. “Let’s do this, mi vida.” Amora’s smile got even wider.

With that, Black Dahlia rushed at the first intruder at a blurring speed. Long, slender blades protruded from its arms and it slashed at his tiny Stand, trying to dispatch it quickly.

Amora looked at her surroundings, sending out a message to anyone that might be charmed.

Charge the man Black Dahlia is attacking. Show no mercy.

The man in the front posed confidently, his Stand was fast, faster than Amora's. He began snapping his fingers once, twice, thrice, drawing a seven in the air.

"Fly on the Wall!" And suddenly, the floor seemingly began to melt, sending everyone, including its user, into the wooden floor that was now a puddle, bending reality in a way that made no sense to the people present.

The only charmed folk were taken out of it, as the sudden change in the matter beneath them took them out of it.

Cabacci was quick to grab onto the kitchen counter and pull himself up, wasting no time in taking Amora's hand and pulling her up with him. The furniture was safe from the Stand's influence, but anything around it kept sinking, even the walls were like a wall of water.

"What are these motherfuckers doing?.."

The other two had began to manifest their Stands too, their shapes bizarre to anyone who was used to the more humanoid kind.

"Courtesy Call-" Said the woman, a telephone like device appearing in each of her hands, though she held them as if they were guns.

"E for Extinction!" Yelled the small man, a skeletal sort of reptile appearing beside him, it twitched and writhed in anger, just taking a quick glance it was obvious who the main problem would be.

Amora gasped as she was sucked into the floor. It felt… cold. Almost like she’d been plunged into a lake.

Black Dahlia still floated above the havoc, connected to Amora by a thin black tether reminiscent of a flower stem. It charged at the user of Fly on the Wall, brandishing its blades.

Fine then. I’ll just have to target you.

“Muere!”
Amora cried as Black Dahlia slashed at him. She looked around and her eyes widened as the others manifested their Stands. “Looks like we have some work ahead of us, mi amor.” She cringed inwardly, noting that her name was so similar to what she called Cabacci.

Then, Amora realized something. If the user of Fly on the Wall was killed, the effects of his Stand would stop, causing them all to become stuck in the floor, potentially killing them all.

Black Dahlia immediately stopped attacking them. “You’re lucky, pequeña mierda,” it said in a smooth, almost raspy voice, which sounded almost nothing like Amora. It instead turned to the user of Courtesy Call, flying at her like an arrow.

The user of Fly on the Wall chuckled in a snorty manner, grossing even his helpers out.

"I don't know about all your fancy words lady.... All I know is you will fall!"

Courtesy Call's user smacked the telephones together, causing a painful sound to fill the room, E for Extinction's user stood by, preparing to attack as well.

Cabacci cursed under his breath due to the pain in his ears, they were too far for him to reach with True Blue, he was growing desperate, trying to think of a plan- Anything. Perhaps they could throw something at them? No, that wouldn't work, why must they make this more difficult than it needed to be?

Black Dahlia was thrown back, and Amora covered her ears with a pained expression on her face. “Shit!” She said under her breath. “Maybe we’ll just go with…”

Black Dahlia charged toward the user of Courtesy Call, one of its arms extended behind it. Right as it was about to reach Courtesy Call, it threw a dart at her, making sure it curved so that she was being targeted from multiple directions.

This!

It continued to close the distance, extending the blades on its arms.

Couresy Call's user was simply not fast enough, ceasing her attack as she was paralyzed by the control the dart had on her, leaving her open to any attack Fly on the Wall's user was powerless to do anything other than control de ground, so he froze, gritting his teeth at the rage from his failed plan.

The third was much more proactive, his Stand jump from piece of furniture to another, screeching as it launched its body towards Amora, which failed miserably as it got a perfectly placed punch from True Blue to the side of its ugly maw.

"Hands of my woman, puttana!" With a strike that powerful anyone would expect the Stand user to be dead... But he wasn't, the Stand was seemingly repairing itself from the damage, and threw itself at Cabacci this time.

Of course, the man had no issue defending himself from the attacks, but it was starting to be problematic, as Fly on the Wall's user had solified the floor again and had began to run up to Amora with a brass knuckle in his right hand.

Amora grins once more, covering one of her ears with her hand. Black Dahlia disappeared, but the dart in Courtesy Call’s user’s head stayed. “Ay, diablos,” she mumbles to herself. She didn’t appear to notice Fly on the Wall’s user behind her until he was a few feet from her.

Suddenly, Black Dahlia appeared between Amora and her attacker, blades still extended. It adopted a defensive stance, almost reminiscent of a boxer’s.

Use your Courtesy Call to take care of the other one,” she said, glancing at the charmed Stand user with a condescending tone. “Do not attack Cabacci.

Amora looked back at the user of Fly on the Wall.

“You want to have a bad time, pequeña mosca?” she asked with a smirk.

The charmed user quickly turned her Stand towards E for Extinction's user, throwing him off balance with her terrible sound, giving enough time for Cabacci to get out of harm's way, and go up to the two victims of Black Dahlia's powers.

With a swift left hook he sent E for Extinction's user flying out into a wall, his Stand dissapearing in thin air as the man was knocked out from the sheer strength of True Blue.

Fly on the Wall's user stopped on his tracks, clearly being faced with someone way stronger than himself, he rose his hands, ready to back away... Until he bumped into Cabacci who was already standing right behind him with a grin. He left Courtesy Call's user alone, letting Amora decide when to get rid of her control over her.

"W-We can talk about this, pretty lady! It was just a job after all, no harsh feelings with me right? I'm no mastermind, just a good old- C-Criminal for hire, yes!" He smiled awkwardly, looking back and forth between Amora and Cabacci, though, all he got, was Cabacci taking his right hand and twisting it behind his back so that he stays still.

"Tsk, pathetic, your friends were more of an issue than you." Cabacci shook his head, looking up at Amora. "Thank you, amore mio, it might be time for a proper interrogation, don't you think? Since you beat them, I think its only fair we interrogate them your way, insisto." He said, with that smile only Amora was able to get out of him.

Amora nodded at Cabacci with a serious expression before she smiled sweetly at Fly on the Wall’s user. “Oh, I know,” she said, taking a few steps toward him. “But there’s one small problem…”

Black Dahlia appeared behind Amora, looking more menacing than usual. After a second or two, the blades on its arms drew closer, but didn’t retract fully. She grabbed him by the collar and yanked him face-to-face with her.

“Who do you work for? I don’t want the name of an organization. I need a name,” Amora snarled. “Or you’ll be using your entrails as shoelaces.”

Black Dahlia delicately placed the tips of its fingers on the man’s stomach, almost like a dagger. It looked at Fly on the Wall’s user with an emotionless expression.

Start talking, and I might let you go.

Then, she noticed Courtesy Call’s user still standing there, waiting to act. “Cabacci, dear? Could you take care of her? I’m sorta busy right now.”

Cabacci smirked and replied as if this was another day on the job, since it was. "Sure thing love."

He let go of the man and walked back to the two others, while he was aware that he should get rid of them, having at least one extra hostage wouldn't hurt, especially if he made sure to limit their mobility... such as breaking a leg. A loud cracking sound would be heard coming from Cabacci's direction, his heel falling down like a hatchet against Courtesy Call user's femur, over and over until he was satisfied, getting a rather horrified scream from her.

With true blue, he bent and already broken standing lamp, and twisted it around his victim's wrists, tight enough that circulation would be almost completely cut off, for someone with a Stand that depended on her arms, she was uttterly doomed.

Meanwhile, Fly on the Wall's user stuttered and begged miserably.

"Listen! Listen, listen, I don't know his name- He's not normal, the fucker is scary... I DIDN'T want to do this, okay? He forced us, he said he would tear us limb from limb! I don't know anything, okay! H-He just said something about going to Rome!"

Amora narrowed her eyes, not quite believing him.

“Rome, huh?” She asked, driving Black Dahlia’s hand painfully into his stomach. “Were you approached by him? Did you see what he looked like?” Her eyes drilled into his, finding any minute sign of falsehood.

Amora glanced apathetically at Cabacci and the user of Courtesy Call. “You’re getting blood on the floor, love,” she chided him. “Do you have any idea how long that’s gonna take to get out?”

She turned back to Fly on the Wall’s user. “And do you have a name, perro?” Amora asked, wrinkling her nose. “It’s more personal when I know your name rather than seeing you as someone’s dog.”

"Sorry sorry, I'll clean it up later. Promise." He said trying to ignore the very obvious stain that kept expanding, he clicked his toungue and groaned in anger, dragging his current hostage by the wrists.

E for Extinction's user was stirring despite being passed out, which prompted Cabacci to approach him to make sure he wouldn't be troublesome.

"NAME'S DAMIANO! I have a family- Don't KILL ME, please I swear I know nothing! T-The guy was covered up with a hood, I couldn't know for sure he- FUCK, he was long haired, pale as a fucking ghost- That's all I know!"

Amora smiled, but it didn’t quite reach her eyes. “Why would I do that?” She hissed into Damiano’s ear. Despite her words, Black Dahlia withdrew slightly, but remained in contact with him. At the mention of his family, she continued, “You do? I have a family, too, but I doubt you would’ve cared. You wouldn’t have had the same restraint if the knife was to your gut, my friend…”

She began to pace around Damiano as she let him go. She wiped her hand on her pants as if she just touched something filthy. Amora seemed to almost be taunting him at this point, knowing Damiano had nowhere to run.

“So what’s stopping me from killing you, hmm?”

She looked over at E for Extinction with the same amount of disdain. “Should I take care of him, or would you like to do the honors, my love?”

Cabacci smiled. "I'll get it done amore mio."

Damiano's breath was getting faster, desperate, looking like he'd piss his pants in fear. "I-I will take you both to the place where he hired me, yes? He won't know shit, he's gone, you can take his papers and see what he wants with the arrow-" He was cut off by Cabacci who was placing his boot on top of the man on the floor.

"BULLSHIT, you think I don't know the Boss' office? You must be desperate..." He began to apply pressure onto the skull of his victim.

"I FUCKING SWEAR, we- Are not killers, I swear, I was bluffing! We were just here for the arrow. I-It's a place near the docks n-not the big house, the Phone Man, he mentioned you"

The man stuttered, looking back at Cabacci, who at this point was looking skeptical, but had stopped harming the man's companions.

"He said we just had to restrain you, h-he'd kill you two. I swear over my life, just let us go, I'll take you there and I will shut my mouth, won't tell nobody!"

Cabacci sighed, crossing his arms in anger.

"I do not like this figlio di puttana... But he isn't lying about the docks. I knew the Boss had a spot near the docks, but I never payed attention to it... If he did leave for Rome, it makes sense he went there and left something important. I say you pick love, but let's do it fast, if the Phone Man is actually involved... I don't want to stay here too long."

Amora nodded, turning to Damiano and grinning like a fox.

“I’m sorry, my little perrito, but we can’t simply let you live,” she said coolly, twisting her hair with one of her fingers idly. “You promise you won’t talk, but I know you people, being one of them myself.” She glanced at him before looking away, putting her hand on his shoulder. “You won’t tell until someone offers you a price you can’t refuse. Then, all your secrets will spill out… like blood from a slaughtered pig.”

Amora spat out the words, looking a little angry. Not at Damiano, but at something else. “But it’s nothing personal, just business.”

With that, Black Dahlia stabbed into his stomach, its entire arm buried.

The man coughed, frozen for a moment as the pain shot through him, though with so much of it, it felt more like a burn than any rea sensation, he began trying to grab at the Stand's arm and push away miserably, but didn't take long to go limp, and fall forward weakly.

Courtesy Call's user was visibly shaken yelling and attempting to kick to try and save her leader, though with the broken leg she didn't get far, giving up halfway through the living room.

Cabacci was... Not moving, he just watched, his expression stoic and cold as he was thinking, was this.. Right?

He scoffed at his own thought, no point in getting all emotional and question morals. But where they really that dangerous? Were they killers? He was not proud of this, but he didn't say anything.

The woman dragged herself towards Amora, in a futile attempt due to her bonds, unable to do anything but yell desperately.

"You bitch- He GAVE you what you wanted? Why the fuck would you do that? Why- W-We never even killed anyone, this was our second job... Fuck you, FUCK YOU, F-" She didn't speak further, struggling with her own tears as she stayed there, her head on the floor.

"Amore..." Cabacci spoke. "We don't have time for 'em, they took too long, and I have a suspicion that whoever hired them is already heading towards here... Let's go."

Black Dahlia phased out of existence, and Amora’s gaze lingered for a moment on Damiano’s corpse, but Cabacci’s words snapped her out of her strange reverie. She blinked and looked at him with the same cold expression she had before. When she spoke, she seemed to be miles away.

“Why?” Amora asked. “They would have done the exact same thing to us, so why should we show them mercy?” She walked over to Courtesy Call’s user and crouched down, looking at the woman disdainfully. “He didn’t give me what I wanted,” Amora whispered, lifting her chin up with one of her fingers. “So unless you give me the name of your employer, I’m going to do the exact same thing I did to your dear friend over there.”

She knew Courtesy Call’s user had no idea about any of the details she sought, but Amora didn’t care. She and Cabacci would find out soon enough, regardless of if the woman in front of her told them or not. “If you tell me, I might just let you go.”

A faint smile touched her lips as she waited for Courtesy Call’s answer.

The woman stayed quiet, almost contemplating if she should tell her, but then, in a rather understandable reaction, spat at Amora.

Cabacci didn't say anything, crossing his arms as he watchedt the scene, his brow furrowing the further Amora took things, yet, he didn't defy her.

Courtesy Call's user groaned and panted, attempting to get out of her bonds to strike, but it was futile.

"I-I rather fucking die than tell you freaks- ANYTHING. The Capo was right- You two are worse than any gangster he could've sent... GO ON! Do it, JUST DO IT." She gritted her teeth, her gums bleeding from the pressure she was putting onto her jaws.

E for Extinction's user began to rise, seeing the chaos, and, as was expected, he prepared to attack... But Cabacci didn't allow it.

The Stand user was pinned against the wall by True Blue, struggling to get free.

Cabacci didn't execute him, not at all, he just watched, and leaned in menacingly, close enough that Amora may not hear, and just in case, he spoke in his mother toungue.

"Faresti meglio a correre, ti darò la possibilità di attaccare, lo fai e scappi- Se rivedo il tuo viso... Ti strapperò la testa. Capito?"

The Stand user doubted, and felt the need to defend his partners, but, even he knew it was too late, and nodded.

He manifested his Stand, and sent Cabacci flying back onto some furniture, of course, he was unharmed, and the man managed to break through the door and escape from the house, feeling deep regret and a pain in his chest at the thought of abandoning his collegues, even if they were already doomed at Black Dahlia's hand.

Cabacci had to think of an excuse... As he sighed, getting off the floor.

Amora cocked her head to the side, removing her hand from Courtesy Call’s face. Her smile disappeared, and she wiped the spit from her cheek.

“You know, I gave you the opportunity to choose what you were going to do. You knew how it felt to lose that ability, but you still defied me,” she said softly.

Suddenly, she heard a loud crash behind her as Cabacci was thrown against the expensive furniture. Amora glanced at the brief skirmish before focusing back on Courtesy Call.

“All of your buddies have left you, and I don’t blame your cowardly friend for running away,” she continued, not caring about what Cabacci was up to. “I won’t give you that chance, but I also will not give you what you ask. Not yet, at least.”

Black Dahlia appeared once more, depositing a dart into Amora’s hand before disappearing. She held it in front of Courtesy Call’s face, making sure she saw it. Then, Amora put it up to the other Stand user’s face, right between her eyes.

“You’re going to do what I ask, whether you like it or not.”

"Amora." Cabacci said, walking up to the pair. "Just give her what she wants, she doesn't know anything, just like the other one- Come on, it's getting late.

He was trying to reason with her, but had a suspicious feeling that she'd not listen despite it.

The woman groaned, pressing her own forehead against the dart, looking at Amora's eyes, without a sign of fear.

"Control me if you want, I know as much as Damiano you WITCH... What else can I lose?!"

Cabacci bit his lip, he wanted to stop Amora, but he knew he shouldn't.

A feeling of heaviness began to fall on his shoulders... Shame, regret, self loathing as he questioned whether these people were actual criminals or truly innocents, victims of that... Monster that called himself Capo.

Ding ding. The doorbell, someone was standing at the now broken door, and the room was going cold.
