Side Story No Honor Among Thieves

Stone found solace inside a broom closet on the second floor away from any prying eyes or the terrible battle.
The others were doing their best to get rid of the intruders, but their attacker’s ship looming menacingly above them was massive and more and more smaller ships were surrounding them.
Then a sound through the speakers of the ship, “Anyone who doesn’t want to fall off. Hold on tight!” Bellowed the voice of Bowser as the airship shook violently and with a massive burst of speed vanished from beneath the attacking pirates to parts unknown. The ones on the flight deck feeling the brunt of the travel with the Matador falling off had he not slammed his sword into the ground getting dragged a fair bit, but it seemed like everyone survived the journey.
Chapter 3 - the Arrival
For those that were still inside nothing seemed to have changed, except for the turbulence, but for the ones up on the flight deck they could see bellow them a part of the world they had not seen before. A massive crevasse zigzagged across the surface, too deep to see the bottom and off next to it was a massive large orb of pure darkness.
Taking in the scenery for a moment the airship would again shake violently as it started to descend towards the surface.
Even for those with no knowledge in machinery or technology could tell that whatever Bowser had done to get the airship to move as fast as it did was a onetime thing as it slowly but surely came closer and closer to the orb on the surface.
The ones inside felt the airship land with a heavy thud as the speakers flared to life again. “Everyone get out! We’re here.”
As the group convened on the exit they’d find Bowser waiting on them outside with an impatient look in his eyes. “Took you long enough,” He motioned towards the orb of darkness, which now as they were on the ground could see it was massive. What it was, though was hard to ascertain. “That thing is holding everything we need to get on top in this world. So I ask you again. Are you in…or are you out?”

Chapter 3:
"No Turning Back..."
With the last of the intruders seemingly taken care of, Scourge moves his red-shaded sunglasses back down to shield his eyes. He turns to see the attacker's ship looming, taking that as a challenge; even if it is reckless and detrimental to the mission. Speaking of which...
"FUCK!" Sprinting towards one of the railings bolted to the Flight Deck, Scourge grips onto it firmly as the ship begins to shake violently. Not only did the will to live to make him hold on for dear life, but the thirst for power with no setbacks and vengeance had kept him going on for as long as this trip took. The green-furred Moebian sprints down as the speakers blare out with the voice of their 'gracious' benefactor.
"Finally," he says with a exhale of relief, "holy shit that felt slow, despite the scrap that took place."

"Well, I don't know about you guys," Scourge The Hedgehog speaks up, lifting up his shades as he sports a sharp-toothed grin on his peach muzzle. "but we did go through that shitshow for what we want here. So, yeah, Koopa, I'm in! HAIL TO THE KING, BABY!"

Stone had to wonder if there was some sort of meta narrative that he found himself some peace back in a closet away from all of the chaos. The ship would stop and ironically despite the safety, Stone came out of the closet. He had come too far to give up and he would- No, he was doing it for himself. No one else. "I guess I am as in as I can be," he replied, walking down.

Blinking and Breathing Manually.
Dark Meta Knight had rolled out of the mirror, ready to slaughter a couple more invaders, but the Koopa King's orders that roared through the speakers prompted him to jump back inside. From within the mirror dimension that he sheltered in, he observed the effects of the ship's rapid escape from the glassy wormhole that consistently maintained its relative position inside the vessel as if it were fastened to its entirety.

Chapter 3: The Destination
Assured that it is safe for him to leave his dimensional box shelter, Dark Meta Knight steps out and allowed the mirror to blink out of existence. He walked briskly, following the others to the exit as he wonders what environment would make up their current landing spot. As he gets his first glimpse of the new surroundings from his position just right before the exit, he near-instantly notices the deceptively huge dark orb that reminded him of a certain evil force that appeared just as dark as the massive ball of shadowy nature. The masked mirror-knight lifted off from where he is standing and gently glided to the group, joining in with everyone else in the gathering before the King Koopa.
"With a size like that, it appears that it would be worth the challenge. Any doubts that I may have can only be cleared by joining in at this point, so I cannot refuse this offer." Dark Meta Knight stated his decisions and reasoning with a prepared demeanor. He stood still, expecting the responses of the rest of the group.

“Yeah I figured you wouldn’t have come along just to waste my time.” The soldiers under the command of Kammy and Sundowner stayed behind as Bowser himself took point lumbering towards the beginning of the sphere. He cautiously looked around it before finally putting his hand on it making it vanish. He let out a quiet gulp before he stepped forward vanishing into the dark.

Raising his brows at the orb he made vanished, the hedgehog shrugged. Turning towards the shadows, he sprints forward after Bowser and Stone. Whether there was intense danger or a perilous road ahead of them, power was within his grasp. The Chaos Emeralds, seven keys to his vengeance.
