So I've spent the weekend muling over the roleplay and trying to come to a decision on how best to proceed with it.
The rocky OOC atmosphere has been difficult on me. We have a great group of writers with mountains of creativity, but we also have a very reactive group which can quickly lead to misunderstandings and hurt feelings
I'm not posting this to make anyone feel bad. We all have our struggles, and I want everyone to feel safe and comfortable.
It has come to my attention though that I have been forgetting to be mindful of my own enjoyment as well.
To be able to continue with GMing this roleplay, I am going to need to make some changes to how we handle the OOC aspects of this roleplay.
I will be shifting most of the formal OOC discussion/organizing to the forums, rather than the live discord channel. This is primarily in regards to larger overarching plot lines and major story events.
People are of course still welcome to use the OOC channel for various things, such as casual chatting about the roleplay, coordinating with each other, and sharing ideas.
