Once upon a time, but not TOO long ago-I'm still pretty young, you know! There lived a happy little guy known as the Bug King. He ruled over the greatest holiday ever known to man or beast, and all the little children of the world loved it, and loved him! The Bug King was happy, and the whole wide world was happy, too.

Until, one day...HE showed up. The traitor, the usurper, the overthrower of the poor harmless Bug King, who only wanted to spread joy and cheer! This vile fiend took over his holiday, took the crown for himself, and sent the Bug King far, far away into hiding, away from his citizens and his beloved holiday. And that's not all! The sad and lonely Bug King is still tormented to this day. The false and phony king and his friends have duped him, disrespected him, and didn't even let him enjoy his Christmas dinner! But you know what?

What they don't realize is that the Bug King won't go down without a fight! That's right: the Bug King is going to reclaim his glorious holiday, and anyone who gets in his way will be taken down.

And you...you're going to help me!

Hello! This is Return of the Bug King, a Halloween-themed multifandom roleplay! It's based on the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas...and maybe a few other franchises, as well~

Rules:


  1. As a given, all STC rules apply.
  2. Please be respectful of me, your GM, and of your fellow RPers.
  3. This roleplay is hosted by The Convergence Series, and the IC will be on our subforum, but will be non-canon to the overall lore. No prior knowledge of our lore is needed! Though you may want to join our Discord (PM for a link!), as we have our OOC discussions there.
  4. No godmodding/metagaming, please.
  5. Please try to post at least once a chapter. This RP may not move at too rapid a pace, as I'm both in school and working, but it's good to stay active!
  6. Just because this is a fandom-based RP, don't be afraid to sign up as your original characters!
  7. I am also allowing duos, meaning you can sign up as two characters, max.
  8. Just to make things easier on me, please do not sign up as all-powerful characters. I will not be restricting character powers in this RP, but it would take some of the fun out of it if your character could solve every problem in just one post.

Assassin, Silent Killer and Heroic Spirit of Assassination, is one of the Four Cavalry Classes among the seven standard Servant classes summoned for the Holy Grail War. Servants of this Class are skilled at operating covertly, stealthy, and silently.

Presence Concealment - A+
Hides one's presence as a Servant. Suitable for spying. It is possible to disappear completely and become almost impossible to be detected, even against a Servant's perception. However, efficiency will decrease once preparations to attack are taken.

Murderer of the Misty Night - A
A skill associated with the Servant's nature as a serial killer rather than as an assassin, which permits a preemptive strike against all opponents. Requires luck to work for sure in day, but unconditional success possible at night.

Information Erasure - B
The removal of information regarding the Servant's True Name, abilities, and appearance from the records and memories of all eye witnesses, including the opponent, following the conclusion of an engagement. This effect is enforced even if the battle took place in broad daylight or was recorded by devices such as digital recordings of a closed-circuit camera. However, evidence of the engagement is not removed from the scene, and by way of logical deduction, the Servant's identity may be revealed by examining those evidence.

Surgical Procedure - E
If that icon doesn't scream irony I don't know what does!
The capability of surgical repair with use of a bloodstained scalpel.
Despite the technique being 120 years old, and somewhat unreliable by visual appearance alone, the procedures manage to attain their intended effect, boosted somewhat with application of Magical Energy. (The victims of Jack the Ripper were found with their organs removed in such a way as to require anatomical knowledge or skill with dissection.)

Mental Pollution - C
Makes it possible to shut out any mental interference Thaumaturgy due to possessing a distorted mentality. However, at the same time, it becomes impossible to come to an understanding with individuals that do not possess an equivalent rank of Mental Pollution.
In the condition that the Servant's master is of the Evil alignment, or perpetrates acts of cruelty against her, her Mental Pollution will increase in rank, further increasing the chances of blocking magecraft. However, as the Servant's psyche is inherently broken, this may result in irreversible corruption.
Likewise, it is possible for this skill to be removed if the Master is of a more Good alignment, seeing that Jack the Ripper as summoned by the more morally-sound pure-hearted justice-seeking protagonist of Fate/Grand Order does not possess this skill.

Advanced Combat Skills: Theo has shown himself to be a skilled fighter, making use of his Werewolf-Werecoyote instincts as well as his pseudo-supernatural abilities to great effect and what appears to be a degree of formal close quarters combat training. He was able to beat both Belasko and Josh, though he had initially taken them by surprise. His combat skills also allowed him to temporarily hold his own against the Dread Doctors, and survive multiple fights with the Ghost Riders.

Skilled Manipulator: Theo is shown to be extremely good at manipulation people, as he was able to fool and manipulate the McCall pack into believing he was a regular Werewolf who just wanted to join the pack for weeks. He was also able to manipulate the members of his own pack into doing what he wanted them to.

Theo posseses a weak form of all normal werewolf powers such as super strength, super senses, healing, agility and speed. Theo also possess night vision. Theo can absorb pain from others. He also can shapeshift into a wolf and coyote as well as the animal instincts of the two.

Theo is a chimera a fusion of a werewolf and a werecoyote. He is drawn from post season 6. ( Later in the timeline than any other Teen Wolf character). Theo is an atheist. Theo is homeless. Theo watched his sister die and drown with a broken leg, so he could become a chimera by having the dread doctors implant her heart into him. Though never canonically confirmed, most people consider Theo to either be bi or gay. ( I will be leaning towards the bi preference though probably shipping with Deslin)

Hiruko has a cane called Formalin that keeps the nightmares of clients until he is ready to eat them. He also uses it as a mode of transportation. Also carries a suitcase that's cold to the touch and gives off an eerie feeling to others who touch it save for a few. What the suitcase houses is actually his own nightmare, which "ate" the previous baku.

He can physically enter people's nightmares, and if injured in their nightmare he will still be injured upon leaving. Because he is a baku, he can't die. Though he technically can "die" by passing on the the existence of "Hiruko" onto another.

Can't eat or drink human foods or beverages, or else he'll just cough up blood.

Wiki link is a reference point. Long Island is a 'ship girl', an apparently human sized, sentient and animate piece of military equipment. Somehow she is able to launch miniature drone planes and provide as much, if not more offensive firepower as your average light aircraft carrier, complete with anti air mounts.

Despite her adamant claims that she is in fact a ghost, she can certainly pack a punch with rapid, on a dime air support and anti air defense to boot.

- Only Human: Simon is but a human. Albeit susceptible to some supernatural phenomena, likely due to his sometimes unstable mentality.

- Weapons Expertise: Simon manifests an uncanny ability to pick up and utilize almost any weapon effectively, ranging from a switch blade or a stick, to pistols, to straight up military grade assault weapons.

- Unnatural Constitution: While not exactly inhuman, simon appears to be able to somewhat shrug off injuries with an injection of andrenaline... But naturally too much at once makes him sick, and very disoriented.

- Equipment: A carrying bag that contains a glock 19 pistol with a full 15 round magazine chambered in, and 3 more on standby just incase. A switch blade for close quarters self defense, a cell phone with a built in flashlight, and a notebook with a pencil.​

Even for a Jedi Knight of the time, Novao was remarkably skilled in lightsaber combat. As a Jedi Initiate, she was acknowledged as exceptional in battle, and the amount of praise given by the Knight's early teachers convinced Master Derrin Weller to send the Padawan into combat against the Flesh Raiders immediately upon arrival, despite her status as a mere apprentice. Weller's trust was proved valid when Novao was able to defeat the lightsaber-wielding and more experienced Dark Jedi Callef armed with only a vibrosword. During Novao's time as Orgus Din's apprentice, Din came to trust his Padawan deeply and was able to send her on missions against great numbers of Flesh Raiders with little or no backup and be confident of success. Din considered his Padawan's bravest moments on Tython to be during the conflict with the Flesh Raiders, when she and Teeseven fought their way through an area controlled by an army of Flesh Raiders, and when the Padawan successfully defeated the far more experienced Bengel Morr with only a training lightsaber.

Novao’s last action as a Jedi Padawan was to construct a lightsaber, the crystal of which was blue in color which she kept through her journey. After being promoted to Jedi Knight, she traveled to Carrick Station, where the young Jedi chose the path of a Jedi Guardian.

Novao knows Form I to Form VII, but mainly uses Form IV, Ataru and Form V Shien/Djem So. She also knows how to use Jar'kai, but it is not something she tends to use in combat and only to instruct students.

She was well-versed in many galactic languages beyond Basic. Having communicated with individuals from a wide array of species, the Knight was fluent in Durese, Rodese, Houkese, Binary, Huttese, Jawaese, Nautila, and Twi'leki, as well the languages of the Selkath and many others. Novao underwent technical training as a Jedi beyond that of an average individual.

She was also an experienced pilot.
