Yeah yeah, I know, I know.

In an unspecified Japanese School which hosts levels from Middle to High School, three students will be pulled together by fate. These students have two things in common - they wish to join the Paranormal Interest & Investigations Club (or the Paranormal Club for simplicity's sake) and they wield a very special otherworldly device they would later discover to be named the Omnitrix.

That's something in common.

Also, two others may be joining them on this kooky little quest. Since they are part of the Paranormal Club, they go on Paranormal Adventures, possibly around school and a few trainstops away.

Notes & Rules

This is a Ben 10 AU RP where I will be avoiding as many canonical characters as possible. The various species and the lore behind them, however, still exist, obviously.

One Paranormal Club Member per roleplayer.

In-lore, there are 10 Omnitrix Wielders across Earth, but over here at school, there are but 3.

For Omnitrix Wielders, you can only have a maximum of 5 canonical aliens. Also, no Andromeda Five or Whampire.

At first, the Omnitrix will act like the Original Series' Omnitrix, where you can only select one transformation in a row and cannot change back until a 'timeout'. This will change over time, so fret not.

I want to go all 'yeah I trust you guys no need for rules'.

Obsidrac
Obsidracs are the greediest folk in the galaxy, or at least one of the greediest folk. They enjoy swindling and catching sweet deals, and to top it off, the greatest conmen in the galaxy originate from this race.

Appearance:
Crystal Skull possesses a bulky upper body with a lower body ending in a wisp-like 'tail'. Its body has a purple, crystalline structure, with its head resembling a stylized, low-polygon upper skull with one blue eye. The lower wisp-like tail flows like paper, unlike the main solid body.

Home Planet:
Alexandrem
Alexandrem was once a shining utopia before the Obsidracs rose. Originally ghost-like mutants of the original race, they began to multiply and overtake, grabbing and feeding off the crystals that lie on the land and architecture. It is due to them that Alexandrem is in shambles, a junkyard compared to its former glory. The Obsidracs evolved crystal manipulating abilities in an attempt to dig for more crystals in the ground, but it seems that they have dug too much, and the planet is essentially dying.

Abilities:
Crystal Skull's primary abilities are the phasing through objects and summoning crystals from the ground, as well as altering its crystalline body. Naturally, its body is tough and durable, refractive to boot. By draining energy refracted within its body, it can unleash some sort of laser-like blast from its singular eye.

Mock Tartary
Mock Tartary evolved from aggresive tentacle plants that preyed on the Badwulfian Buildaswine and 'played' with the (currently unnamed) Akazukin race. Over time, their victims became smarter and more avoiding, so these carnivorous plants started to evolve - by mimicking a special kind of plant both their primary prey like - the Blooming Tartary. As evolution occured, they transformed from stationary tentacle plants to moving, predatory beasts that use camouflage and wits to strike prey as opposed to aggresion.
Unlike the wolves of Earth, the Loboan of Luna Lobo and other similiar beings, Mock Tartaries work alone as opposed to being in packs.

Appearance:
Barometz's main body is covered in green leaves that have the texture of wool and cotton. This wooly coat is much like a bush, where flowers and fruits of different varieties pop by. Barometz's hind consists of wood-like feet that end in hooves, as well as a long, vine-like tail with bushy leaves to resemble a wolf's tail. The frontal body consists of wooden paws, as well as a head covered by a large set of petals, giving the impression of an unbloomed flower.
When this 'flower' 'blooms', it reveals a wolf-like head and neck area covered with greenish fur-like moss, mouth armed with with sharp, wooden teeth and wooden horns that resemble the horns of a goat or sheep. Its ravenous eyes are blue on the left and pink on the right.
If Barometz's leaves are sheared off, it will reveal a wood-based body, with the body type of a wolf.
Having recently evolved from plants, Barometz's concept of gender is more akin to earth plants than earth animals.

Grimm Badwulf
The Grimm system has not yet been touched by Plumber feet and have extremely little recent alien contact, as such, there is still more to be discovered. The Grimm System in general has low technology levels, parring with Earth in the Medieval Era at most. The settings of these planets coincidentally seem to resemble that of Earth Fairy Tales. Next you're going to tell me that there's another star system with an uncanny resemblance to Monster Movies!
Grimm Badwulf is home to three sapient races - the Badwulfian Buildaswine, the species that would later be named the Akazukin(they call themselves 'the people') and the cunning, predatory Mock Tartary. This place has no dominant governing force and is currently in the stage of villages and wilderness.
Buildaswines and Akazukin speak the same language, but Mock Tartary do not. As such, Mock Tartary are seen as feral to the others.

Abilities:
As a trait retained from before evolving into its current state, Barometz can reform its woolly leaves into tentacle-like vines to constrict and attack foes, as well as reach faraway places.
Barometz is able to release a variety of spores from its mouth - mainly sleep spores and poison spores. Poison spores are not lethal by their own, and by adaptation, are meant to paralyze prey for a short amount of time, enough to consume them.
Barometz can spit seeds that can explode upon impact, blowing opponents back.
Barometz has enhanced senses - sight, hearing and smell, primarily. They are enhanced to the point that just one of these traits can function without the other two, with hearing and echolocation going together.
Barometz also has enhanced capabilities - stamina, dexterity and the like, much like an actual wolf.
Barometz's protective layer of wool-like leaves allows it to resist many heavy-impact strikes.
While not exactly a power, their cries, reminiscent of a sheep's baa and a wolf's cry minced together, is said to be bloodcurdling to many races.
This is more of a Touko thing that doesn't occur naturally within the species, but Barometz is afraid of its own reflection.

Kraket males & females appear vastly different.

Appearance:
Leviathan has a large, serpentine body of about 10 metres long, as well as a large pair of wings reaching a wingspan of 15 metres that seem to be covered in feathered, and in fact, these feathers are actually bristles. The wings are white and angelic in appearance, while the main body is light blue in hue. Leviathan has two sharp eyes, the right being pink and the left being blue. It has a stripy black pattern over its body to camouflage in sea flora the same way tigers hide in the grass. It possesses a pair of sharp fangs under a tough beak-shaped mouth.

Cristophanids are aggresive bird-like beings that enjoy attacking anything that moves. Their intelligence and aggresiveness alike has often been compared with Appoplexians. Unlike Appoplexians, these guys are adapted to run on water to hunt for their prey, so you're probably more screwed with these birdies despite their size!

Appearance:
Basilisk has similiarities to a Cockatrice from Earth's myths. Basilisk's head is indeed that of a hen. However, its beak has more similiarities to a seagull. It possesses feathered wings that do not possess the ability to carry Basilisk's weight, and they tend to flail around. Its feet are a cross between that of a falcon and lizard. Finally, its tail is a serpent's head.
In terms of size, it is half the size of an earth chicken.

Abilities:
Basilisk possesses the ability to casually walk or run on water in a similiar way to a pond skater, or even the non-mythical variety of Basilisk, also known as the Jesus Christ Lizard. They do this by exterting pressure beneath them.
Basilisk's two mouths can unleash special grey-hued energy blasts that cause rock to condense on the surface of the target, giving the impression of petrification.

A week before he was to leave, he discovered a strange alien device that embedded itself into his shoulder. After discovering it's powers, he used it to further his intelligence to a much higher degree.

Appearance: Hovering at 2.4 meters in height, with long blue tentacles hovering above the ground. With a blue human like torso covered with black robes covering it. It has human like arms, tipped in short claws. It's head is human in shape with red eyes and small tentacles covering its mouth.
Home Planet: Metarus, a harsh world with most of the planet covered in dense marshes, and underground caverns in which the Metarians reside.
Abilities: Capable of applying memetic effects to anything it wishes, the effect differing depending on what the wish. They also possess telekinetic powers and incredible speed.
