Mist Gardens

The good professor of Art studies was busy studying the architecture of some of the Mist Garden's finest statues and smiled "What beautiful art, they've taken very good care of these statues, I can tell."

He sat in a nearby bench and studied the statues from afar.

Freddy Freeman

Freddy looked over at him. " Damn it, I missed him again. He keeps giving me these cryptic warnings and said to follow him.... I'm not sure what he means. I'm Jack," he lied. It was the best one he could think of in the moment.

Mickey Mouse

Mickey wasn't sure he was exactly. The last thing he remembered was trying to track down the Phantom Blot again. He would notice a man, maybe he knew what was going on here. " Those statues are really nice. I wonder if they hold any secrets, " he said, looking at Langdon

The mouse would climb onto the bench and sit next to him.
 
Delsin Rowe

Delsin raised an eyebrow and said, "Jack, huh?" He raised an eyebrow at the other hero and frowned, he might have guessed the other was lying but he'd take it in stride later. "Yeah, the cat was taking me somewhere too, but not sure where. Name's Delsin. "

Professor Robert Langdon

Just as Robert sat down, some sort of Mouse creature joined him.

"Perhaps they do. Maybe they hold secrets inside them that we don't know about."

He'd never seen a creature like this before and he just stared. His mickey mouse watch. A possession that was of great importance to him. His eyes looked like they were bugging out. Here was the real Mickey Mouse sitting next to him.

"Holy crap, is that really you, Mickey Mouse? I've.. I've been a big fan of you..."

Freddy nodded when he responded to him. He wondered if he didn't believe him. He should have went with Volt. At least then he wouldn't have to worry about not sounding like a hero. " Well, I guess it is up to us to figure out where that is. So, Deslin, want to like team up to track down the cat?"

Mickey Mouse

Mickey looked over at the professor with a smile on his face though.

"Places like these often do hold secrets. I'm always fascinated to find out those secrets too."

Mickey raised an eyebrow, not sure what to do about the fact that it seemed the professor's eyes were acting weird. He didn't actually have much of a reaction for that either. He took a deep breath and offered a weak smile, despite the professor cursin.

"One, language. Two, I see that I'm known. Yup, I'm Mickey Mouse. I always seem to be recognized. Looks like your world even got me themed jewelry."

"Well believe me, I didn't wanna have to be up here, but SOMEONE made that point moot!" The offending tamarin chattered, jumping onto Santamu's shoulders. She smiled, scratching the little monkey behind her ears. "Aww, I can't stay mad at her, though! She's too cute!"

Realizing someone was still there, she caught herself. "Oh! Sorry, I was titally being rude there. My name is Santamu."

Theo looked up at the sky and took a moment to take a breath. " Deslin, I'm sorry to have left you on our anniversary. It wasn't my choice and know that I would never want to leave you. I'm thankful that I didn't die in that place, but I'd learn something there. There isn't a thing I wouldn't do to make you. God, you were the only thing I was thinking of. I may be a little late due to timeline and time passing differently, and this isn't exactly the setting that I wanted to do it in....but here I go," he took a deep breath and knelt down on one knee. " Deslin Rowe, will you marry me?" He asked.

Delsin smiled once again as he saw Theo and lifted down to the ground. It's been years since he's come here, over and over. He argued with a talking cat, and a lot more just to protect Theo.

It's been years since he's seen Seattle and now he's seen most of the multiverse.

But now?

Theo leaned down on one knee asking to marry him.

His lover, of many years, asked him.

His brother and mother would be so proud right now.

"Theo"

He managed to choke out a shocked "Yes" as he went forward and held his man in his arms "I will become your man, Theo."

He let Theo place the ring on his finger and he kissed Theo for the greatest amount of time.

Theo would look over at him and was happy to see that he had landed on the ground. He wondered what happened in the time that passed between being there and being here. It felt like forever.

Theo was so used to not having anything in his life go his way, but he didn't want to think about it too much.

But now?

Now he couldn't be happier to be making the choice that he did.

He was tired of being so afraid of the present.

He was tired of being alone because he didn't take the risk.

He was terrified he would say no.

" He said yes.... I love you so much," he whispered before placing a ring on his finger, happy to have commited himself for once.

Theo kissed him back, just letting everything melt into the moment and ignoring all around him.

As Freddy would watch the two lovers kiss from the sky a name would escape his lips. " Billy, his name is Billy. That's who I was forgetting..... but what does he look like?"

Glancing up, she gave him a smile and laughed nervously. "Heh...um...the cards aren't really giving me an answer," she explained. In fact, they were completely incomprehensible! How was she supposed to do this? Unless...she went the old way. But that wasn't really appealing. "Um..." She sighed, extending her hand. "Here. Give me your hand. I think I'm gonna have to be personal with this..."

"It's alright, miss. I wouldn't blame your cards. I've already learned that my life is very... unpredictable. I'm not even sure how I ended up in this city, to be honest."

Chihaya smiled, taking the palm...then immediately frowned again. Oh no. Oh, no no no. "I...your hands..." Not again! This palm was nothing like the ones she'd seen! The lines were all over the place and made just as much sense as the cards, which was to say none. What WAS this guy?!

Meanwhile, in a small pub within the Rust District, a woman sat at the bar, downing yet another bottle of brandy. Just about every day when not working, she came in here to drink. Despite this, she still had enough money every day to drink away her sorrows. No one really knew how she made the money, but the bartender certainly didn't complain.

"Another." She placed a few more gold coins on the bar, starting to sway the tiniest bit in her seat. It was clear she was starting to get a buzz going.

Meanwhile, in that same small pub in the rust distract, a second woman was also sitting at the bar, having a drink as well. Nobody was quite sure where she got her money from, because nobody had ever seen her work- but still, she had enough to come in for a drink every now and again. Running her hand through her hair, she looked over at the other woman,

" I'll take whatever she's got, it's been a long day," she said, placing a nice stack of gold coins on the table. She was ready to drink to forgot whatever this mess was.

Glancing over at the blonde, the brunette raised an eyebrow, visibly impressed. It was like finding a kindred spirit out here, something she could sense just by meeting her. "Don't think I've ever seen you down in the junkyards," she said, using it as a way of greeting.

Sara offered a slight half-smile over to the woman. It was good to meet someone who wasn't insane or a super-villain or an ex. God, so many things that she had to avoid. " You wouldn't- I don't frequent the junkyards. I tend to go wherever the fuck I want to," she replied back to her.

"Good. Less competition for me." The bartender gave both girls their bourbon, giving Sara a glass. The brunette merely opened the bottle and took a swig straight from it. Wiping her mouth with her arm she looked to her new companion. "You got a name, or do people call you whatever the Hell they want to too?"

Sara took a look at the glace and ignored it, deciding to take a straight swig from her own bottle as well. It made a lot more sense than trying to pour it
into a glass as it would be. " Everyone's got a name, my name is Sara Lance, though I am known as White Canary in some circles as well. What's yours?" she replied back to her with a smile.

"Kiii-Yahh!!" Juri screamed, a stream of purple fire leaping from her heel and she kicked. She landed low, hunched over her anvil. She stared down her foe. A common mugger, following nice girls into alleys behind not-so-nice bars. Hardly uncommon in a city like Avalon. A pain in the ass. In need of a small dose of punishment. A heavy kick from from S.I.N.'s favorite assassin was just what the doctor ordered. Punishment was her specialty, after all.

As the mugger's body struck the ground with an ear shattered crunch, Juri let herself stand up straight again, a sinister smile nested upon her lips.

"Sorry honey," He laughed, slowly prancing up to the twitching pulp curled up in the heart of the alley. "But you had it coming. Serves ya right."

She raised her right foot above her head and let it hover for a heart beat, before bringing it back down to the ground with startling speed. It cut into the man's core like a guillotine.

"Next time, try to be less boring. Maybe an emergency unit will find you before death catches up. But hey. That ain't my problem. Best of luck,"

She scarped her foot clean along the concrete.

"Have a nice night, now, baby..."

Lydia tried her best to not want to punch the demon that very few others could see. She tried to not roll her eyes instead and started to walk away.

" Oh come on, don't make me have to follow you- you don't have anyone else to help you get home, don't work away from me- Lydia."

Lydia would look over at him. " Leave me alone. I'm not really interested in that until we get home," she replied. She took a deep breath and wonder if she looked crazy to anyone.

" Come on, Lydia. You need a pal to help you in this strange place, you are just a teenager girl with no powers. I could protect you, all you got too do is say my name. You won't know how far I would go. All you got to do is say is three times, and I would protect you. All you got to do is say my name."

" I don't know your name. "

" Well, I can't say my name."

"How about a game of charades?"

" Yeah, let's play a game of charades."

" Two words."

" Right."

" Second word."

"Uh-huh"

"Drink?"

"No."

"Beverage?"

"No."

" Wine."

" No."

" Juice?"

"Yes!"

"Okay, first word."

"Ok."

" Bug?"

"No."

" Ant?"

" Close but no."

" Beetle."

"Yes."

"Beetlejuice?"

" Wow, I'm impressed. All you got to do is say my name three times in a row. Three times it must be spoken, unbroken."

" Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice.... Beeeee help, there is a guy who is bothering me."

" Oh come on- it's not like she can see me- right.... I'm visible to all because he made me. Goddamnit.... oh wait, I'm not, cool."

"Aw... Great... I've gone and saved a crazy..." Juri groaned, rolling her eyes. To be fair, she was hardly the most sane girl in Avalon herself, but at least she wasn't talk-to-herself-crazy. She was only gets-a-thrill-out-of-hurting-people-crazy. The fun kind of crazy. Not the crazy kind of crazy. "Look, baby," Juri muttered as she made her way back across the alley. "You can leave now. I'm not gonna carry you to the emergency room or nothin'. Mamma's gotta go find some more nasties out here. So get lost. Shoo. You're taking up the alley."

Beetlejuice and Lydia

Lydia would look over at her. " I'm not crazy.... there's someone else here.... " she replied, gesturing to where Beetlejuice was, but Juri couldn't see him. He would stick out his tongue, knowing that was not going to get here. " But I'm fine with leaving the alleyway....." she replied, looking over at Beetlejuice who seems to be staring at Juri with a mischevious smile on his face. " Wait- miss- watch out," Lydia replied back to her, hoping she believed her.

" She can't see me- I'm invisible to everyone," he replied, stepping towards Juri and attempting to posses her. It would be easier to have a body to talk to Lydia in.

The woman idly traced her finger around the rim of her bottle. "I got a couple, but I go by Scrapper these days." She looked up at Sara. "White Canary, eh? That some sort of codename?"
